    The "Surprise" rent option is a SCAM! On their website they have ecnomy cars and compact cars in two separate categories and even have two different cars posted which are two different sizes but that's misleading! They are really the same class! So you rent the surprise option you need to expect the smallest.piece of junk they have on the entire and NO working antenna which I have pictures of where it should have been! I worked in the industry myself for years and know gor a fact that economy cars and compact cars are two different car groups!

    I decided to rent from this Enterprise because it is closer in distance to my place, than their Brice Road store - some pluses and minuses, based on this decision. This Enterprise is well=used. I was told, unfortunately while returning the car, that this location is heavily used by businesses, since it is so close to the downtown. Thus, since companies tend to consolidate trips, and employees, they loan out "bigger" cars, than what I'm use to. I was given a 2009 Chevy Impala, for my trip to Baltimore, MD. I'm glad I had 2 friends accompanying me, as I needed the extra sets of eyes, since this size car was awkward. I showed up at the store right on time, to meet the pick-up time. I was receiving this car while mine was in the shop, from a wreck. So, I only had to worry about the gas. The gentleman who helped me was polite and friendly. The paying insurance company had not reported my claim, as told, so the man had to make a few calls to get the ok. Unfortunately, this set me back about 25 minutes, but it was a tolerable, unexpected dilemma. Upon returning this car, the guy did a quick checkover for dents/scratches, none, and off I went. I probably will not rent from this location again, as mid-sized cars and larger are not my thing. The Brice Rd. Enterprise tailors to compact cars!

For my Thanksgiving trip I had the car for three days, drove 140 miles, and filled the tank up before I dropped it off. The assistant checked my car in when I returned and said nothing about charging me for fuel - indeed the gauge was slightly over the full line, so I had no reason to think I was going to be charged for fuel, given that I was returning the tank full. When I got home, I saw Hertz charged me $6.99 for fuel. I got no response from Hertz when I brought this to its attention. AmEx, however, immediately credited my account for the full amount of the charge ($6.99). Granted, it's not a major issue, but it is a breach of trust between me and Hertz. It's just a guess on my part, but I'm guessing the vehicle's computer-based data-gathering includes data regarding fuel use and calculates a fuel charge based on that calculation - regardless of what the fuel gauge shows. I know I topped off the tank at the gas station, and I know the tank appeared to be more than full when I returned it. This nickel-and-dime charge practice, and its deceptive effect, will inevitably lead to loss of trust in this rental company.

    I do not recommend using this business…read more I'm giving it a second star just because the truck we got performed its task of running and transporting our stuff when moving. But this seems like a poorly run business. First of all, know that making a reservation doesn't actually guarantee that a vehicle will be available for you at that time. We made a reservation for a specific time in the morning and made our moving-day plans based on that time, but there were no trucks available and we had to come back later to get one. When we returned, several other customers were stuck in the same position -- they had made reservations, but there weren't vehicles for them at the right time. Maybe I'm crazy, but it seems reasonable to expect that reservations not be completely useless. On Saturdays, this location closes at 2, which means you have to pay a $10 late fee if you want to return it after 2 on the same day. Good luck returning it by 2 when you can't get a truck until 12:45! An employee told me we could return it first thing in the morning the next day without paying a late fee or two-day charges, but after the reservation nonsense, I didn't trust them not to charge me for an extra day. Here's another thing that happened to me, though it may not actually be typical: I drove this truck about 12 miles, and I took it to a UDF a half-mile down the street to refill the tank before returning it to Budget. I wound up being charged $39 for not refilling the tank (what?) and I couldn't make a good-enough case for a credit card dispute because I had thrown away the receipt for my UDF fill-up. With the $30 "protection" in case of an accident (which was maybe a ripoff, I don't know), the two hours of truck rental cost me about $140. It wouldn't have been that much more to hire movers!

I was under the impression that Budget would provide a fee upgrade should they not have my reserved car in, but apparently not. I chose to wait for the hour, which quickly turned into three. When I finally got my car I called into Budget's national customer service, who agreed that this was unacceptable but did nothing to remedy the situation.

Luckily another minivan had just come in. The vehicle we were given looked like it had just been returned from a family vacation, the middle seats were stowed away and there were crumbs EVERYWHERE. We didn't make a fuss, just swept off the crumbs, placed a cover on the back row for the dog, and we were on our way. Fast forward to our vehicle return 5 days later & we were told to either take the car to Moo-Moo for full vacuuming or pay $450 for cleaning the "pet hair". Goldendoodles don't shed. AND the only surface the dog was on was covered. So we either had to do the job they didn't do before renting us the vehicle OR pay $450. It's extortion and we will never rent from this company again.

The staff here has always gone out of their way to make sure we have what we need. I even requested a car with Texas plates one time, as I was driving to an event in Texas. I was sort of joking, but said if any came up during my rental period, I'd sure like to have one. They delivered! A Texas plate on the car. Well done. The last time I picked up a car, the previous renter had left the gas tank almost empty. They asked if I wanted them to fill it up or if I'd rather be able to return the vehicle with that low fuel amount upon my dropping the car off. After discussions amongst themselves, they decided the fill the tank for me, and profusely apologized for my wait time, which was only a few minutes. This location has always gone above and beyond for my family and me. We are now loyalty club members, and frequent renters. Keep up the good work! If Seinfeld had gone here, they would have known how to take and how to hold the reservation.

I was told that they had to have the card with the chip, and that they did not take cards over the phone. The vehicle that I had reserved was not the vehicle they were going to give me. I then canceled the reservation after being there for over an hour and a half to try to resolve the issue. I will not be going to them anytime soon. This was in Warren, Ohio.

They told us to wait and we did and 20 minutes later they had a vehicle for us. When we went to pay the security deposit they tried to charge us for the rental as if we hadn't prepaid already when we had. We explained and showed them the prepaid amount on our Apple wallet and they "ho hummed" over it and had three people looking into it for about 15 minutes while others waited in line for their rental cars. If this is how they treat their preferred members, i'd hate to see how they treat regular non members. Also, the man next to us was explaining that his rental broke down and had to be towed and he had to return to the Columbus airport for a new rental which interfered with his trip plans to Indianapolis. Hearing him go through what he went through really made us apprehensive to leave with our vehicle. No one did a look around with us for the car, so we took our own photos and documented on our end, but I've never not had someone do a look around before driving away from a rental car place. *** update*** am giving three stars because of the unpleasant check in experience, however the staff members were pleasant and did do their best- I just don't think they really know what they are doing at the check in desk and need to get better training.
