I rented a car from this facility under an insurance claim. The representative, Connor Gibson, stated ALL fees would be covered by the insurance carrier. The repair of my vehicle took over 3 months. Upon the return of the Enterprise rental, they stuck me with a $2,300 bill for vehicle protection against the rental car. Reservation for a car at 10am to travel to a wedding. Was told it would be 10-15 minutes upon arriving. Noticed 6 other people present. Came to find there were no cars at the site. We each had to wait for a car to be returned and cleaned before our reservation was honored. At 1045 with 4 people still ahead was informed cars would be brought over from a close by lot in 20-30 minutes. 30 minutes later still no cars. At 1130 the cars arrived. My driver had gotten food on the way. No compensation was offered. Also, the office smelled like urine. Was also offered $12/day for unlimited tolls. Seeing I was only driving through a toll once each way I declined. Tried to pay toll online but #ill-annoying requires the last name to match license. Called enterprise and was informed the state processes rentals as citations and would be extra $25. Go anywhere else. Literally. read more

Very disappointing. Was told They would come pick me up after my 10 AM shop estimate after my accident. When I called them the day of I was told no cars would be until 3PM and suggested I call a different location. When I did I was told the only vehicle available at that time was a mini van. To me there was nothing mini about this van: it is 11" wider and two feet longer than my car and I scraped the right side against a pillar pulling into my tight parking space in my new condo, Since don't want to file a second claim in less than two weeks I will probably pay this myself. The Enterprise guy, who is cool, said he would call me when a smaller car is available to swap vehicles and they could get estimates on the cost of my rental repair. Conclusion: Enterprise, offer the customer more than one kind of vehicle and be responsive to what the customer wants. read more

Overdue review. My res was on a Sunday late morning and 2, maybe 3 staff members were working. Line was getting long and they were doing their best to wrap everybody up and accommodate in a prompt manner. I showed up about an hour early and was told my car wasn't ready. Was visibly disappointed but was offered an alternative car, no extra charge. The car was close to empty and told me not to worry about filling up on the drop off. I came from California with intention to rent a car and drive to my old suburb. The first day the smaller framed somewhat plain looking dark haired girl says" go on the app and reserve a car". Apparently there is no reason to even have employees. I had the same rude girl all three times I attempted to rent a car there on 9/30, 10/1 and 10/2/2024. On first visit she never even got out of her chair, just smirked. She said ( without any eye contact or sincerity) you have to have an actual card, not Apple Pay on your phone. So I left and again went online to reserve a car for the next day . I came back the next day and I informed her that I reserved the car. She said ( again no eye contact and smirking) nope, we don't take debits as a form of payment. I asked why she didn't tell me this yesterday? ( no answer) So, I went back yesterday with my online reservation and same girl was there. This time she said sorry ( with a smile) "This credit card won't work because it had your husband's name on it. I said I have his ID. Another huge smirk and she was gone. My husband's partner uses Enterprise exclusively but now with all of this he will be switching. Another issue I have noticed is the office is buried in the far corner of a busy car garage and is not easy to find. The conclusion is that I went to another rental car facility and finally got my rental car. I have exclusively rented from Enterprise for over 20 years and have never had worse issues than with this location. Lala is a trash employee..... I REPEAT LALA IS A TRASH EMPLOYEE. The most unpleasant, unprofessional person. There is no reason why a customer should have to ask you for your name 4 times to get your name. She was unprofessional on the very first day of my 1month long rental and even more so on the last day. I work a 5 minute walk from this office and I will NEVER use them again. Possibly any Enterprise again for that matter. She was rude calling me about my insurance rental while I was still on the phone with the insurance company. She had the nerve to act bothered by the fact that I was on a call. Leave me alone. This isn't rocket science ma'am. On the last day of the rental I called from the car dealership who suggested I return the car to the location around the corner since I was there alone. I called and immediately asked who I was speaking to since they didn't say a name. She absolutely ignored my request 4 times and attempted to continue the call as if I hadn't asked. She then proceeded to tell me that I needed to return the vehicle to that location and that there were no exceptions. I asked for a manager or supervisor she said they were busy. I told her I could wait, she placed me on a long hold and then she disconnected the call. She did not call back so I went thru the automated system to get back to the office and asked to speak with a manager again. She replied "he said that you can return it there with no fee" I said I asked to speak with a manager. She replied we have a office full of people. I told her how rude she was to disconnect the call and not advise me about the managers decision with a callback and she continued to be a rude and nasty person. I then disconnected the call. I wouldn't suggest you use this location, the rental area is a sweat shop with multiple employees who have less than stellar attitudes, LaLa is the worst and probably the driver of the negative energy in the office. read more

He is a stellar representative for the company! No AI could ever approximate or capture Liam's sincerity or commitment. Do not expect this Enterprise location to be timely, accurate, or to even have a car available for you if you make a reservation well in advance. First time renting from this location: * Show up and no car is available, need to wait 40 minutes * The system where they line up cars for checkout is slow and space is limited for the number of cars they have to queue up. Once you're actually in your car there are tons of cars queued up behind you so there's a ton of pressure to exit the garage before you can properly inspect the rental for damages * The guy checking me in to my reservation didn't want to update the driver license details, which were out-of-date (I surrendered my out-of-state license and had a completely different license that I wanted to use for the rental) * My rental's tank was half full when delivered but contract indicated 3/4 full, so I had to pay for an extra quarter tank of gas And writing this review while standing in line for my second (and probably last ever) rental at this location where -- after waiting 30 minutes to talk to someone and then being told to wait another 45 minutes for more cars to be delivered -- I am finally told no cars are available. This is despite having arrived well after the "ready by" time on my reservation. Next time I rent a car I'll probably just get it from the airport. Updates review: 10/19/19 Management was super rude while talking on the phone. I booked an enterprise car and the next morning they called me up saying all the cars are sold out. Apparently he said there is a policy in place that says cars that are booked within 24 hours of reservation date are subject to availability only. This is no where mentioned in the booking confirmation email or terms or conditions or faqs (atleast I couldn't find it easily if there is). When I asked the management if they could get a car from airport, they rudely said "we can't, you can". First of all they are causing inconvenience to me, and on top of that they are being rude. The least they can do is apologize. Totally dissapointed. Also, I can still see cars available online to book inspite the agent claiming the cars are sold out. I have to now look for other transportation for the day. Update: My husband tried to book at the same enterprise and he was able to confirm it with them. And they said that the car is available. On hearing this, we immediately brought to his attendion that I had booked earlier and that he said they are out of stock. When asked about it he tried to protect himself by saying they were earlier out of stock and now they have cars available. My husband asked them if the cars were available why didn't they call me up and told me that and why did they took new reservations instead. He tried to again add some lines saying that was corporate quota etc etc. And tried as hard as possible to hide the mess that he created. He told my husband that as an apology he will go with the original reservation. But we opted out of it. I don't think I can be loyal to someone who is disloyal and misleading to a customer. If we wouldn't have made another reservation, we would have never found out that Enterprise was misleading its customers this way! Note: No such quota exists FYI. the agent's name is "Joe". Update: 09/02/2020 The same incident happened again and guess who the agent is. Its Joe again!! I had made a reservation well in advance, but was not notified of the car's availability untill today. They are calling me just 2 days in advance( after all my plans are made) that they are out of stock. I don't understand how enterprise really works. They have one of the most pathetic systems and even worse people working for them. I had stopped booking cars at enterprise, but I thought let me give it another chance. Great customer service staff on board at this location. I made the reservation on priceline about 1 hour before I arrived on location to pick-up the car. I wanted a small and economical car and they gave me a Fiat! I must have arrived at an 'off' time since I was the only customer there. When I dropped the car off on a Monday morning, it was packed, but I was still handled quickly. The process was quick and painless and the personal interactions were great. The final straw is I went to pick up my car, which I reserved a month ago, and their response was , "Sorry, we don't have any cars." Apparently enterprise customer service corporate is even more frustrating than going to this branch was. In response to my previous review, Chris asked me to email care@enterprise.com with details of my reservation, etc. He was kind enough to enclose a reference number that I was to write in the subject line. For a second, I thought - wow, maybe Enterprise is more responsive than I gave them credit for. I made that inference too quickly. I did. My email got rejected because this apparently was not the same email the request was sent from. What request? What email address? I tried two other email addresses: my Yelp one, and the original one used to make the reservation. Same error message. 3 emails later, 3 error messages later, I was even more frustrated at Enterprise. I was annoyed at the this point and called customer service. After being on hold a handful of times, and about 15 minutes, the guy just told me "we don't have an email address but if you want to call back here's our toll free number." How the hell did u think I called you to start with? So I asked him, "how is this different from the number I just called to talk to you?" Ok, so you might thinking a rental car is a rental car. What's the big deal? Well, I was working on a fundraiser for Birch Camp - a summer camp for families affected by AIDS/HIV - and we needed to transport 96 balloons. And that's a helluva lot of balloons. As the proud owner of Pontiac Sunfire, I was looking at making about 10 trips to get all the balloons to the party. With fingers, toes and arms crossed, I called up the closest Enterprise that my company does business with quite often and kindly requested to "borrow" a van for a couple hours. Before I could explain Birch Camp or why we couldn't pay for the vehicle, Colby responded with "Absolutely. Would a cargo van be easier?" Let me start by saying that I never thought I would write a review about Enterprise - much less a positive one - but this experience is worth documenting. Upon picking up the car the team was friendly and professional from the moment I walked in. When I requested an upgrade at a Chevy Malibu (I know, I'm a bit of a dork for liking this vehicle...) they actually accommodated my request a smile! (What a refreshing surprise!) The thing that really blew me away about my experience is a bit embarrassing. The City of Chicago towed the car while I had it parked on the street (don't get me started), and Tim was great about assisting me the appropriate documentation to pick up the vehicle from the impound. Further, since I called right away when it happened Tim offered me a bit of a grace period on getting the vehicle back to their office. They had the opportunity to rightfully charge me a late fee, and they went above & beyond with me by NOT nickel & diming me. Tim & the 10 E. Grand location are definitely a class act. I had a reservation at this location for the weekend, that I made thru the Enterprise website, I get a call on Thursday confirming my rental, and then I am informed that they are not opened at the time I will return on Sunday at 530pm, as they close at 12 or 1pm, and they advise me to just do the night drop, and they will waive 50% of the fee, which was an additional $40, to $20. I said why didnt the website/email confirm alert me these charges and has said it does, but it did not.I also felt it was was not right to charge me for a night drop, when they close at 1pm. I cancelled the reservation and went to Hertz, where I normally rent. I also usually use the Enterprise at 950 N State, but its closed weekends/sundays, and the website says so. I rented 150 cars in the last 2 years in 3 countries, and found this fee they wanted to charge unacceptable. I always like Enterprise for their consistent customer service, but they need to upgrade the website, and also have better hours, after all, its a major city location. read more

The location is a little hard to find. They are located to the left of the hotel drop off area. Go in through the left side door and take the elevator up to the floor labeled "enterprise". Pros: Got a free upgrade bc I came early and the car I had rented wasn't ready yet. The employees were ready to get out of there so check-in was really quick and painless (under 10 mins total). Also, she was really nice bc I was willing to take another car and gave me the gas. The rental was the cheapest in the area! Cons: car had not been properly cleaned. In the glove, there was a food wrapper and in a side door, there was an empty beer bottle. Not a big deal-- I just threw it out. read more

This Enterprise team is the best I have ever seen! Excellent customer service from the entire team-Patrick the manager will make sure you have everything you need. Amanda is one moment behind the counter then the next moment scrubbing the car and then back in the office taking care of things without missing a beat and with a great attitude. Hayden is awesome as well. They are conveniently located on the 2nd floor inside the Hilton Garden Inn garage making them one of the busiest locations. So if you've reserved a car with them at a certain time and for some reason other people haven't brought their cars back in time, making them "car short" - just be patient, they will solve the issue and have you on the road in no time. read more

Had horrible communication between the reps here and enterprise corporate. It was expensive, the local reps lied about not being able to do a one-way drop off at the airport. They didn't even answer their phone for a pick up from out hotel, we had to wheel our bags through downtown Chicago & into their weird little space. Not to mention this is the creepiest, most uncomfortable location. Feel bad for their employees. Will never be using enterprise again. Would give 0 stars if possible. Super disappointing. read more
