Accidently locked Iphone in car when it dropping off and during agency closing hours (around 5 am)…read moresince we had an early flight to catch, but before leaving we checked vehicle and phone was clearly visible lying on floor of driver's side with flashlight lit. Tried calling agency before flight took off, but agency phone did not work and still doesn't. Customer service said they couldn't reach agency either and gave me their email to which Blagnac agency didn't reply. Have spent several days trying to get someone to respond, but no success and, today, customer service even had the cheek to complain about my daily calls to them for information on the phone's whereabouts. The rental was parked a mere 50' or so from the rental office so phone could easily have been recuperated, but given their silence I can only presume that it has been stolen by a member of staff and that the agency hasn't the slightest intention of resolving this matter whatsoever. TO BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. #AVIS SUCKS Nous avons accidentellement enfermé l'Iphone dans la voiture au moment de la dépose et pendant les heures de fermeture de l'agence (5h du matin) car nous avions un vol tôt à prendre, mais avant de partir nous avons vérifié le véhicule et le téléphone était clairement visible sur le plancher du côté conducteur avec sa mode lampe de poche allumée. Nous avons essayé d'appeler l'agence avant le décollage du vol, mais le téléphone de l'agence ne fonctionnait pas et ne fonctionne toujours pas. Le service client m'a dit qu'il ne pouvait pas non plus joindre l'agence et m'a donné son email auquel l'agence de Blagnac n'a pas répondu. J'ai passé plusieurs jours à essayer d'obtenir une réponse, mais sans succès et, aujourd'hui, le service clientèle a même eu le culot de se plaindre de mes appels quotidiens pour obtenir des informations sur l'emplacement du téléphone. La voiture de location était garée à une cinquantaine de mètres du bureau de location, le téléphone aurait donc pu être facilement récupéré, mais vu leur silence, je ne peux que supposer qu'il a été volé par un membre du personnel et que l'agence n'a pas la moindre intention de résoudre ce problème. Appalling after service, marring an otherwise easy rental…read more The actual people I dealt with at Avis (Toulouse Airport in France, and Pisa Airport in Italy) were polite and helpful. Sadly, we had a problem with our car and we were unable to make contact with the rental company during our hire so had to manage the problem (slow puncture throughout our 2 week hire) ourselves. When returning the car, the gentleman at Pisa airport went to offer money off given the inconvenience, but was unable to do so as the rental had been paid in full prior to the trip. Subsequently, we have tried to engage with them about this through customer service channels. This has been a painful and unrewarding approach as no one in CS seems able to grasp our request, nor indeed seems to want to. I have presented all relevant paperwork and email chains on numerous occasions, investing some time in the matter. In summary (based on my experience): If nothing goes wrong, they're a solid company, where issues arise, they let themselves down.

We returned our car prior to the office opening because our flight left early. There had been no…read moredamage to the car nor had we driven on any rough roads. We received a bill of 850euro a week later (in addition the 500euro deposit they had taken). After multiple emails and phone calls they said a light was broken and we are charged that amount until the repair bill comes through. We have no way of disputing since we don't live in France. They are not responding to emails and 3 weeks later we have no refund of the difference in price. Alamo customer service in the US is worthless in helping with the situation, saying it's a franchise. Will never rent from Alamo or Enterprise again.

They EVENTUALLY organised a mechanic to come and look at the car. He decided to take the car away leaving us stranded. About 2 hours later we were eventually picked up and taken to another car hire company in Pau (they were sub-hiring from Hertz as they did not have any cars available for us). To cut a long story short, we returned home and they called asking us 'where the car was'? We told them that THEY organised a mechanic and THEY took it away leaving us stranded. 3 weeks later we receive a bill itemising damage done to the car and they have TAKEN money from our credit card without properly evaluating the situation. We phoned and they said just reply by letter. They took money, a lot of money, without even receiving our letter in return? What sort of car hire company is this? WE DID NOT HAVE AN ACCIDENT and several people drove that car before it was returned you. HAVE YOU ASKED THE GARAGE? This is a terrible car hire company with terrible ethics. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Terrible, greedy, dishonest company. They wanted €1200 more to rent the same car from the same…read morelocation than it cost online. I showed them their online price and told them that I was here now, ready to give them my money. They refused and said they could give it to me for just €700 more than online. They made me reserve the same car online and come back two hours later to the same place. I asked multiple employees if I could return the car early and get money back. Common practice. They all said yes, as they handled my online reservation. Then after a week of French/Spanish road tolls and parking fees I wanted to return my car early. They said I could but because I rented online they could not give me any money back. They lied straight to my face, repeatedly. Then they gave me a number for customer service, which was closed. Stay away unless you like being baited and switched, or have infinite money to waste.

While we were in line waiting for the one person processing customers, another associate came up and chatted us up and said "Wow, you have lots of luggage" which we did not, just one bag each, and I realized later she was preparing us for the other person to try to upsell us a larger vehicle. High pressure upsell around insurance for the car, road hazard insurance, you name it. Clearly the employees are paid based on how well they sell the useless non-needed insurance. It took more time to rent a car here than to purchase my last vehicle. Absolutely avoid this firm... Hertz (next counter over) had a long line as well but it moved quickly. Maybe they weren't spending so much time trying to scare people into purchasing insurance and other extras?
