1. Enterprise Rent A Car,. Las Vegas, NV. Flight from Texas to Las Vegas, NV. Attempted to rent a vehicle and was told that I had to call the enterprise number, and step out of line. Call the number and the representative was not very helpful. Told that allegedly there were no vehicles available, which was least that trueful. Then I was disconnected by the enterprise representative. Call again and explained the previous representative demeanor. Finally was able to obtain a vehicle. 2. Flew into SFO airport and Attempted to rent a vehicle from enterprise rent a car. Was told I needed to call the enterprise number. Call and I was told yes they had vehicles available, however they had vehicles for rent. However, they had a promotion going on the that I needed to use a card they (enterprise) wa promoting. I stated that I didn't want another credit card and declined the offer. I was told that I could not rent a vehicle without applying for the card card being pushing. No, I say no,no,no!!! They don't have no stinking cars. It's a small rental agency. Here is my story: on my way up to Morro Bay from Yuma, Az. a truck kicked up a rock and cracked the windshield. I called the roadside assistance and they said I could swap the car for another. I chose Atascadero, and made a reservation. The next day when I arrived at my reservation time, I was told very kindly, they had no cars. So, I left. I made a reservation for the Broad St rental agency for the next day at 8:00 am. This place redirected my order three different times to three different locations Paso Robles, Atascadero, and San Luis Obispo airport. I started this journey with trying to get a vehicle by 10 AM and ended up at the airport by 9 PM only to find that they had no vehicles available. Luckily there's multiple lenders at the airport so I was able to reserve mine with Avis who priced matched me for my troubles. I just live in Lake Nasimento and found it incredibly inconvenient that I had to go through all of this for just a vehicle rental that took five minutes. read more

The employees who picked me up on both visits were extremely helpful and kind. We made some small talk about the situation of being hit and not at fault in a car accident. This is the worst experience I have ever had at an Enterprise. I have used this location several times before and it was great, until now. Not sure if it's under new management or something, but whatever is going on, it's not working. The staff was friendly, but crappy service with a smile doesn't cut it. It took them over a day and half to put me in a car. They need more cars, more staff, and a bigger parking lot. It was ridiculous watching this one staff member do everything by herself. I had to drop my car off at the mechanic shop, and unload all my stuff, just to be told that getting me into a car is a "waiting game" and they could not put me in a car today. Then I had to take my car back from the shop and repeat the above. So next day I got to try again and somehow it's a hassle to even pick me up--now here I am still in line at another enterprise because the Atascadero location couldn't get it together. I had to leave work in atown, to take a shuttle all the way to Paso--and unfortunately I still have to wait to be put into a car here too. Now I am extremely late for work and annoyed. I will not be using this Enterprise ever again. Might not being using any Enterprise ever again. Next time I'll be using my Getaround or ZipCar apps, I highly recommend their service over Enterprise. It's a community of local drivers who rent their cars to people in need. No waiting, no paper work, no hassle--unlike Enterprise. UPDATE: They finally put me in a car, it's a crappy Elantra that smells like a dirty gym locker, even though I had asked for an SUV while making an appointment online. read more

Avoid this location at ALL COSTS. We called days earlier to reserve a vehicle, then a day or two later to confirm the reservation and express concerns because we had heard awful things about this location but we don't have many options here in Atascadero. We spoke with Jordan. We arrived 15 minutes early to pick up the vehicle. Jordan told us that someone had slashed the tires on our car (??????) and that another one was on the way from the Paso location. 30 minutes go by, still no car. Then he tells he will comp the first day of our rental and that he talked to the Paso location 10 minutes ago and they're on the road. GREAT. Another 30 minutes go by and STILL no vehicle. We have a 6 hour drive ahead of us and had planned on having a rental car & now we've been waiting over an hour for a vehicle that was confirmed to had been here on FRIDAY. It's Monday. There is absolutely no excuse. To conclude, we were lied to multiple times by Jordan about what was going on with the vehicle that we ordered, verified, and were PROMISED. We ended up leaving and figuring out a different situation. Now we are incredibly behind on schedule due to the incompetence of this Atascadero location. Don't waste your time. read more

If you rent a car somewhere else, make sure you very carefully note any dents or scratches. Returning a car here is a nightmare! The man here is very, very picky about any little scratch and will totally harass you about it, if you didn't note it at previous rental location. Went through Enterprise for a rental while my car was being repaired. Initially booked through Hertz however they never answered their phone and decided to come to work an hour late that day. Thank goodness because Bryce at Enterprise was super accommodating and friendly. Hooked me up with a 2015 Mazda 3. When I returned it I realized I had put too much gas in and he generously gave me a coupon for a free half tank to use on my next rental. Would definitely use this place again. read more

We rented a car and 40 minutes later got a threatening, rude message from Lauren saying that if we didn't move our car it would " be towed by tonight". She felt no responsibility to provide the basic courtesy of mentioning that they had a complimentary back lot. She told us"you should have asked." So we had to turn around when we were already halfway to the five freeway and come back to move our car. This Enterprise office is a satellite location, which receives cars from other offices. The issue arose when we tried to rent the car that we picked on the Enterprise website. However, in dealing with this office, we found that they do not have the car you reserve, nor do they detail or wash their vehicles. We requested a mid-size car over and over again, but they did not have one available. However, they did offer to upgrade to the next level of vehicle that was available. In this case however, the one and only vehicle that was available was incredibly filthy inside (dried, unidentifiable residue on the seats) and out (bird crap covering the vehicle). We were told they don't clean the interior, so instead they offered a compact car, which would not have worked for us. Unfortunately for us, the office employee, who was filling in, seemed put off by our concerns and did not want to make things right for us, instead providing excuses and acting impatient with us over the valid complaints we brought up. We have rented with Enterprise at other various locations throughout the U. S. ...awesome experiences. Clean cars inside and out, and if something was wrong, they tried to make it right. This particular Enterprise in Atascadero is substandard, unprofessional and I would think twice about giving them your business. read more

My insurance sent me to Enterprise to get a car while my truck was in the shop. My allotted time was up on a Saturday so I washed the car and took it to the same location at 8:30am Saturday to "settle up". The business was closed so I called the Enterprise 855 number to ask what to do, after a 20 minute conversation I was convinced by the representative that I'm not expected to drive to another town to turn in the car and keep it until Monday and surely won't be expected to pay for the 2 extra days. Boy was he wrong, I was told by the local representative I had to pay for the 2 additional days and there was no negotiation. Needless to say I paid the money so as not to ruin my credit. Would never recommend this business to anyone, ever. read more

I went on line and was promptly informed; I needed proof of income as well as a current bill with zero balance. I was renting a vehicle, not purchasing a home! I joined Yelp just to leave this review. I chose this location for a rental car because it was next door to a body shop I used for repair of my car. I made a reservation over the phone through Enterprise, which asked if insurance was to be billed for the rental, it was. I gave the insurance information to the employee when I picked up the car the following day. He said, "You're glad you're the first person here, I only have 1 car". So if I had been second in line after RESERVING a rental car, and having already turned my car into the body shop for repair, I would not have a car to drive? I was required to give a deposit on a credit card with funds that would only be held until the insurance company claimed responsibility for the payment. Understandable. The employee went to "wipe down" the interior of the car, the regular car-washer had been flaky, he said. The car was covered in pet hair, food crumbs and literally had plastic bottles on the floor board. I had the car for a few days, when I returned it, they apologized for the condition the car was given to me in. Then I was asked for payment in full. I gave the employee the insurance information, again, and they said they would call me if they needed anything further. A few days later, I noticed the full amount of the rental charged to the credit card I had given for the temporary deposit. An amount I never agreed to or authorized. So incredibly frustrating. When you need a rental, you need a rental. Just be aware of the service I received here, maybe it's worth it to drive a few extra miles for a good experience. read more
