This location went above and beyond to help me with renting one of their vehicles. In January, I was in a car accident and my suv was damaged. I decided to use Custom 77 in Midlothian, IL service to fix the damages. The bodyshop recommended me to contact Enterprise in Alsip, IL to rent a vehicle while mine was in the shop. It was great because enterprise representative met me at the body shop with the rental and when I was done I was able to leave the rental at the bodyshop. Earleesha( I hope I spelled your name correctly) was amazing. I believe she is the Assistant Manager or Manager at this location. At the time of turning in my truck and renting one, there was an issue with Allstate. Allstate uses a reimbursement system when people file a claim. Basically, they were not trying to pay the full amount for my rental. The Allstate representative were very rude to me and enterprise. Some of their agents were trying to argue with us and going back and forth lying about what was said and done regarding the rental. I really appreciate Earleesha professionalism and her support. She definitely took the extra step in helping me with Allstate. When Allstate dropped the ball, enterprise picked it up! They came in clutch today when Hertz abandoned me! Initially I had a rental set up with Hertz Crestwood, but they ghosted me while I was waiting at the shop. Called up State Farm and had them get me a reservation at Enterprise Alsip. I was about to give up entirely on a rental, but TJ hooked me up! My car was in the shop and I get setup with enterprise for a rental. I ended up getting a Ford EcoSport. It wasnt the best vehicle, but overall not too bad. #carrentalnightmare I had the most unpleasant experience today using Enterprise. I booked my car repair on Thursday (Feb 11th) and booked my rental car at the same time. When I showed up for my appointment today to drop off my car I met the Enterprise rep guy who was providing cars for those that had appointments. After sitting for two hours in the waiting room of this car repair company, I came to find out that Enterprise had no cars available and I could either sit and wait (several hours) or find someone to come pick me up and take me home while they try to find me a car (still a wait time of several hours). Thankfully, the car repair shop was kind enough to let me use one of their loaners so I didn't have to sit there the entire day. When I called the Enterprise in Alsip, Illinois (12055 S Cicero Ave.) I got to speak with the lovely store manager. I asked how this could have happened and where the ball got dropped at which time she informed me that it wasn't their fault a snow storm had hit and they were out of cars. I explained to her that I had made an appointment the week prior and should have had a car held for me. At this time she told me if I was unhappy with the service I was receiving I could take my business to Hertz. Wonderful customer service. I also called the corporate number to see if there was anything they could do about getting me a car and they informed me that a regional manager would call me. It's now 7:00 pm and Enterprise has been closed for an hour, I have no rental car and no one has contacted me. This has been the most aggravating and exhausting process. I won't be using Enterprise again and I hope others who see this will think twice about it also. Just know that they are not a company who cares about you, and if they make a mistake it's your problem to figure out how to fix it, not theirs. read more

my Appointment was moved without notice, i was offered an inferior rental. And the manager lied to my face, she said I only had an entry level approval and I showed her my mid size approva, she said mid size or lower. Awful, dishonest. I wish I remembered the managers name all I know is Essence called and asked when I would be in, I explained as soon as I could get a ride and she moved my appointment out a week. Shadiest company and location ever. The Alsip, IL Enterprise is trying to fraudulently charge $1200 for scratches already on the vehicle and documented previous to my rental. The customer service rep, Terry, confirmed they were there prior to the rental and documented. Location manager Mindy confirmed they were known and documented. Even the rental agreement has them documented. However, even with all that the Area Manager, Alex, refuses to do his job and investigate. Despite all the claims and documentation, Enterprise is charging me with no recourse available. Please protect yourself and avoid enterprise especially this location. read more

The crew made this rental very easy and I was happy with the results I rented a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe vehicle. The Weather conditions on the trip were very bad but the Santa fe vehicle was able to handle it and I was very happy with the results of the vehicle & it was easy to return. read more

The manager is extremely discourteous. I'm a platinum member and frequent renter. This man refused to cooperate with me and stay up open a MEASLY few minutes extra as I was driving all night to make it to that locations. Most Enterprises would have done that. This move costed me $MONEY$!! Not that it's any skin off his back. It wasn't just that. It was how rude he behaved on the phone and hung up on me. These are cut throat type people. I booked a reservation over the phone and was told this branch had availability. I came to the branch, waited 30 minutes for my turn, only to be informed they did not have a car available. The representative informed all of the folx waiting on a car, that the person over the phone does not know what cars are physically in the lot. I highly suggest Enterprise develops a process in which they verify a branch's inventory prior to giving a person a confirmed reservation. read more

When I went to pick it up today I was told that they do not have a car for me and that there is nothing they can do. IT WAS A F-ING SEINFELD EPISODE........ We reserved a 15 passenger van for our daughters wedding to get her and the bridal party to the church at 2:00. Our pick up time was 12:00 (which btw, is when they close which we were never told). My husband got there right at 12 and they were closed but thankfully someone was still there. He tells them he is there to pick up the van/mini bus and they tell him Oh, we don't have it. We haven't had those in quite a while! What the hell is the point of making a RESERVATION two weeks ahead of time if you don't have it???? Needless to say we were livid and had to scramble to try and find a way for all to get to church. Instead of paying the 178$ that we had planned on we were forced to have to rent a mini bus from a limo company and pay 900$. This is unacceptable and I will never rent from Enterprise again and I will make sure to let everyone I know or come across to do the same! The reservation was made for me on Monday, June 5, in the evening, after an accident, when I called on Tuesday to pick up a car, I was told there wasn't one available til 4:30P which did not help me work wise. I finally was able to get a car on Thursday, June 7. After a week, I had gotten a call from someone telling me that my insurance wasn't going to cover the rental anymore, and the person was quite rude. I have had better luck from Enterprise in Blue Island,IL or the one at 95th Street. read more

I've rented cars from this location many times, but this last time was, by far, the worse. The person who answered the phone and the manager (Matt & Dan) were both less than helpful, did not try to assist me at all, did not seem to know Enterprise's "rules". The manager only assisted me properly upon my continued questioning. They claimed my home wasn't in their area, even though I've been picked up & taken back home from this location on many previous rentals. After having spent almost $500 on one rental, he claimed there was nothing that could be done to add my points to my account, telling me I should have said something before the rental! Not true, I called customer service and they added them with no problem. Unfortunately, this location is the closest to me and I rent cars for business, so I'll probably be back. Hopefully, the staff will have been trained to provide good customer service by the time I return. Oh, the young man who took me home, DeMarco, was great! I recently rented a vehicle from this location and the manager Dan Durkin stole $125.00 gift card from my vehicle. He admit he was the only one that clean the vehicle. I should have went with my first mind not to rent from this location customer service sucks!! I put my purse on the passenger side back seat my purse tilt over and my envelope with my gift card fell out and look right at it when I went to get out was going to get the envelope but start rushing and forgot when I return to the location it was closed I called first thing the next morning and the manager for very irritated because I was asking questions never once tried to be helpful or assist me in asking any questions I should have went with my first mind and never did business with the location. If I could give half of a star or less I would. Customer service appears to be out the window at this particular location. I was getting work done on my car (not an accident/claim) and needed a replacement car. I told them I would be holding the car with my debit card and I was told that I would need a utility bill to show that I was who I say I am. My question is if I am having work done at a body shop and need a replacement car....am I going to bring a utility bill to the shop? No. I spoke with someone that told me I could use my phone bill. Checked the last bill and the only page with my name and address was returned with the payment. The person I spoke with then told me that as long as the last name was the same on the utility bill as my ID and Debit card then I could use any of the bills in my husbands name. (My husband would be paying for the loaner on pick up) I made my reservation and awaited their call to come and pick me up. The call that came was from a person named Dan at the Alsip location that told me that I had been mis-informed. They had to have an identical match on all items including the utility bill. I was livid. I told him about what the last person told me and he said " I am sorry it is our corporate policy. I don't know who you spoke with but that is certainly not the case" I told him to check my reservation to see who I spoke with. He said it was the call center out of Missouri. When I asked if they were unaware of the "corporate policy" he said "apparently not" I asked how it was my fault and how I could be held responsible. He told me it was a strict policy and there were not going to be any exceptions. Maybe they should train all people the same. I needed a car for work and they were completely indifferent. Never had this happen before at Enterprise or anywhere. I know not to use them again. read more
