We'll look into it they say. 9 days later, the same manager who lied to me calls me and leaves a message for me to call him back. The summary of my call you ask? Enterprise: My manager is out, but my boss's boss asked for an update so I'm calling. I remind him he told me it wasn't worth contacting the manager so I didn't. His response. My manager agrees with me. Me: So you're calling me to rub it in my face that nothing is going to change? Thanks. Thanks for the reminder. Good talk. I had forgotten all about it since life goes on. This was my third stop of the day as two other locations I had gone to for an insurance rental claimed that they did not have any cars to give. Eli was very helpful and professional, even listening to me complain about the other locations inability to assist me. He was able to get a car cleaned that had just come back on the lot and I only had to wait about 10 minutes. He was able to match the price I had had for the same claim a few weeks prior in a different vehicle. read more

I had a weekly rental that I had a few issues with (the strong cleaning smell in the car- and a few other minor complaints) ....... Trevor and the team listened to my concerns and made up for the issues by giving me a great deal in a really nice car on a one way to EWR airport that I rented a week later They picked me up from my nearby location and brought me to the facility and that was super helpful as I had no way to get to the rental office. Everyone I have worked with there has been really nice and friendly going above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. I will rent from them again next time I am in town. read more

I rented a suv from Enterprise at Fort Lauderdale Airport for 5 weeks. I had to fill the rear tire 5 times fo to it losing air, For the last 3 days when I braked it sounded like an airplane was flying over head. I wasn't sure if yhe brakes were going or if there was another problem. I was afraid to drive the car, I wasn't sure if I was going to make it back to the airport. I went to a different Enterprise and was told I had to bring it back where I got it. On.the day I had to return it I white knuckles it back to where I got it, When I explained what was going on the gentleman told me he would compensate me by dropping mu bill by $2.00.00 When I got the bill no compensation, I called Enterprise 3 times so far and got the runaround stating someone would call me back, No one called. NO MORE ENTERPRISE!! read more

I came here to rent a car for some July 4 week adventures! The location is quite convenient as it's on the main street, but it's hidden away in the plaza. When I arrived on a Friday late afternoon, I had to wait a bit as there was only one person doing check-ins and there were many people there. I waited to get checked in, and then I waited to get my car. The car's gas was half-full, but otherwise the car was great! It served all my needs during the driving, and we covered many miles on it. I like that this spot has after-hours drop-off, making it convenient to rent from here because otherwise weekends would be really difficult to rent. I would recommend it, just pad some extra time for pickup! Customer service is polite and friendly too, as usual. read more

In today's economy, between the CDTA upgrades, improved bicycle infrastructure, and availability of Uber and Lyft, it's no longer necessary to own a car. However, there are times when you need to go somewhere, where the bus/bike/car share will not work, and for that, Enterprise fill the void. The customer service is always top notch, I've never met a friendlier bunch of people. It's also the only car rental place that's geared towards those that do not have a car, Enterprise will pick you up and drop you off, as long as you're within their coverage area, and someone is available. It's best to discuss this with the location ahead of time. They also seem to have consistently the lowest rates in the region. Even for those owning a car, it's typically less expensive to rent one from Enterprise, than it is to put on the miles. read more

Very dissatisfied with the sites treatment and their customer service skills. First-off apparently they are not kind to black people trying to get a rental for luxury vehicles, and there are so many unauthorized changes that was made to my contract to keep me from renewing my contract for the vehicle without my consent. I have been driving the vehicle for months and paying on time, to constantly be bombarded with calls demanding me to bring a vehicle I payed for to use back when my contract has not even ended. They were very unprofessional and nasty customer service wise when I made a complaint about why there were so many changes and charges made without my consent nor with a managers authorization, still have not been refunded and I am being told to return the vehicle and I cannot rent anymore when I indeed been making payments on time. The branch managers are very unreasonable and do not have any people skills especially if you are colored and I am totally disgusted by the unauthorized incurring charges made by managers and representatives without my authorization and the changes made to my contract without my consent. Every time I go to make a payment its always something else that I have to deal with and an unpleasant interaction from the customer service. The regional office needs to make a change because it is discrimination at an all time high and know one is taking accountability to rectify their own mishaps making it more challenging for people to get a rental vehicle. I recommend them to nobody because it is not even worth the headache! read more

Worst customer service experience I have ever had, period. Not only did my car break down in the middle of highway, but the roadside assistance folks cancelled the tow request without telling me and I was stranded for hours. Yes, some of this is enterprise overall and not just this Albany branch, but the staff here were indifferent to my problem and unhelpful with getting a replacement car and paying my tow driver. To top it all off, a month later I have unexplained charges on my card from the local branch. They referred me to the toll violation line which confirmed that actually it was charges from this local office. They were indifferent when I called back again and told me to just dispute the charges with my card company, instead of working with me to look into the problem or refund me. The branch is understaffed and always feels frantic - no one to answer calls or help you out in a timely manner. Trust me and go a block down the road to the competition if you need a rental car. read more

Rented on line. Went to pick up next day, car not available. They substituted another car, didn't have GPS. Went to another outlet to get GPS & it didn't work. Had to replace fuse in car. I came here on a Sunday morning and scheduled online ahead of time. I was in and out in all of ten minutes! Trevor was really nice and helped answer all of my questions. I went in, filled out a few things and was basically all set to go! I had requested a sedan and they had a pretty good selection. I ended up getting a Nissan Sentra, it had a full tank of gas and was super clean and nice. Just a word of warning though - they do require $250 down as a deposit (in addition to what you're paying for just the car), which you get back when you return the car, but just make sure to add that to your budget when you're paying for the car rental. Although I didn't get a receipt from this location at the end of the day, staff accountant Dennis Brooks emailed me a revised receipt a little while ago. As I explained to him in my response, I won't be using the 900 Central Ave location anymore while/when I'm up here and want to rent from Enterprise (that was a Boolean AND, not "and" the coordinating conjunction). Albany's S. Pearl staff and the folks in Rensselaer perform their job duties in the ways I've been used to since I started using Enterprise back in California, so I'll stick with them. This is where I go whenever I need a car for a weekend. It can be a pain in the neck to not own a car, especially when you need to just get around the Capital District for a day or two, so I take full advantage of their weekend specials whenever the need arises. Hands down, what I love most about Enterprise is that they do pick me up and drop me back off on the other side. They're on a bus route, I could easily get to them, but knowing that they'll come and get me, I can take my time getting out the door and even have a cup of coffee. Cars remain in their fleet for no more than 2 years and they have an excellent selection. They don't always have available economy and compact cars, but they always offer me a free upgrade and I often wind up with a much nicer car than what I signed up for (my favorite is the Dodge Avenger, but the luxury Toyota Avalon was pretty nice, too). They are always accommodating of my strange requests. For example, I'm not big on camping, but I go to a weekend folk festival every year and sleep in the car. I've made requests of "a car where the back seats fold down flat" and they do what they can to give me what I ask for. The weekend prices are excellent, the weekday prices are acceptable. When I rent a car, I stay in the region, so I've never run up against their mileage limit. They offer pre-paid gas so you don't have to fill it up before you return it and the pre-paid price is almost always lower than what it costs at the pump. That said, if you don't pre-pay and fail to fill the tank to the level you got it, the inflated gas price is exceptionally high. This is standard for car rental places. I definitely recommend them for rentals. I've been renting cars from them for about the past 5 years and while there's turnover with the staff, the quality remains consistently high. read more

Needed 2 12-person vans, put in a rental request a couple months prior. We called to confirm the reservation and were told that they would try to get us the 12-person vans, but couldn't promise them because of a recall. They wanted to give us minivans instead, which would have not worked at all for what we needed to use them for. The fact that we had to call and find this out made for awful customer service. So glad that we asked ahead of time otherwise I would have shown up and been really out of luck for what I needed. Lost points for customer service, the van recall that was mentioned happened months ago so shouldn't have affected our van rentals. Not to mention I'll never rent anything from here again. read more

The most horrible experience ever!!! I have an account with Enterprise. I called to make a reservation 2 days before I showed up. My cousins were returning a car at the Albany airport and flying to Florida so they dropped me at the car rental - I gave the representative my license and credit card. She told me I couldn't rent the car because my license has a PO Box and not a physical address! Meantime I had no way home and was over an hour away - and now I had no rental car!! Horrible experience!! They just turned me away. Even knowing my situation and the fact that I was now stranded at the airport, they didn't even TRY to accommodate me. I've rented from them exclusively for years! NEVER AGAIN!!! Budget came through for me thank GOD! The worst part was the attitudes of the staff. They didn't have an ounce of sympathy for my situation and that was the worst part! read more

The last time I rented a car, it was kind of a nightmare (not with Enterprise). But I decided to go with these guys this time and I'm so glad I did! They were attentive and answered all my questions. They couldn't find my reservation even after i gave them the confirmation number and then gave me a much smaller car than i reserved at a higher cost without a receipt or confirmation number. The car they gave us reeks of weed so everything that's in the car now stinks. I called to extend my reservation from 5 pm to 9 pm and he said he changed it. I called again to ask why they overcharged me $25 extra and she told me the car was supposed to be returned at 4 pm. I always rent from Enterprise and have NEVER had an issue but now i'll have to find somewhere else to rent a car i guess. read more

Arranged rental for a cargo van and confirmed pick-up time for 9:00 AM. on 10/7/2017. When I arrived at 9:30, there was not a cargo van available. Apparently all the cargo vehicles were booked and the one available was not returned on time. I was very disappointed since I had a move planned and rain was in the forecast. The manager , Trevor tried to accommodate my need but the other vehicles were too small. Trevor took my cell number and advised he would promptly call me when the cargo vehicle was returned. About 1 1/2 hrs. later Trevor called. When I picked up the vehicle, Trevor made good on the delay and offered the rental at a reduced rate and removed the extra mileage charge. The staff was friendly enough, but the selection had room for improvement. I was stuck in a gas guzzling Chevy Suburban which put a big drain on me financially. The rental car company did not have a person do a preinspection when I picked up the car. I did no damage to the car. The person who I returned the car to immediately pointed out "damage" to the roof. This happened in a very dark parking garage. I had the car for 4 days in the sun and would have noticed any damage that was there previous or not. The rental car company is claiming that I damaged the car because their records showed, however conveniently, that no previous damage was recorded. They have no proof that I damaged the car and the Fleet manager from Charleston SC admitted that when he saw the photos that he had no idea how the damage could have occurred. I usually rent from the Latham enterprise. Was told if I return the car after hours it would not count for an extra day since I picked up the car at 4:00. However I got there a bit early and picked up the car at ten minutes to 4:00 and was charged for an extra day. I won't go to this location again. read more

Great Service!!! I got exactly the car i wanted and they helped me in everyway possible! Only took a 50$ dëposit instead of 150 and they gave më a break on one of the days! This is one of the better Enterprise locations I've dealt with. There are usually plenty of staff to assist and they are friendly. Since they actually have parking where you can leave your car (many don't), they are convenient. I travel quite often and usually have a 3-5 hour drive. Watch out if you have a long drive and need cruise control because twice now I've been put in a car without one. read more

Aside from the fact that it took an astonishing 3 and a half hours for someone to drive 2 minutes down the road to get me, the experience evened out. Wish I had known it was so close, I would have simply walked down there. I don't know who Trevor is, but he is terrible at his job. The people in the office though, we're absolutely wonderful and manage to de-escalate the situation (as I was understandably irrate) the moment I walked in.
