However, when I arrived at this location after taking a lyft from the airport - found that it was CLOSED before my reservation pickup time. (Huh?) Was forced to scramble to find an alternate Hertz, which closed 45 minutes later. At the alt location, the woman opened my reservation and said "oh, you must have been that LATE reservation." I ended up getting a car from there. It's 818 Central, in case you're wondering where to take your business. Over the phone, when calling Hertz to ask what to do since my location was closed, they suggested, that I GO BACK TO THE AIRPORT. All around poor service. This Enterprise location is a very small counter with limited hours and is the only option…read moreavailable inside the Albany train station. I would encourage you to try to get off your train quickly and get to the rental counter as I would imagine that the ebbs and flows of this location make staffing difficult. The Enterprise parking area is just outside the main doors to the train station. I arrived yesterday and had a poor experience - my train was late (not Enterprise's fault) and when I arrived to the counter there was a long line. When I got to the front of the line, they had no cars and I was misquoted how long it would be for more to arrive (I assume from the airport). When more arrived, I was provided a compact instead of the standard that I reserved. Since I was already very late for a business meeting, I did not complain at that time. However, the measure of a company is not always whether a customer service issue happens, but how they respond to it. I emailed the company this morning and shared my experience. Within 30 minutes, I received a call from the area manager for this location who offered no excuses (although there has been significant weather in Albany this week), but just apologized and tried his best to make it right. He promptly provided the consideration we discussed and then followed up with an e-mail. My four star rating says that means "Yay! I'm a fan." I would guess that sums it up - Enterprise may not always get everything right, but - when they don't - it has been my experience at this location and others that they sincerely try their best to make it right. When I arrived at the train station, I was met directly upon exit and whisked to my car. They gave me the number to reach anyone if issues and return was a simple key drop.
