For one set of windows, I got a written estimate and for another project it was verbal. When the written estimate was higher than I expected, I tried to cancel the verbal, smaller project and Joel wasn't very happy about it. But Steve, his manager was very good. I wouldn't say not to use them, but just make sure you get everything you need to make you comfortable with going forward with the project. Again, I wish they would have a single point of contact - one person, one project and better communicate internally what needs to be done. especially when they don't return phone calls.

I called Lincoln Way Glass and Mirror to replace the glass on a broken window. Larry came to my…read morehouse, took measurements and said he would have to order the glass and would contact me when it came in.They charged my credit card $150.00 for the glass that day. When he came back to install the glass, he worked on it for about twenty minutes before telling me he didn't know how to take my window apart and had never seen a window like mine before. Remember, Larry is the same guy who came out in the first place and measured the window. I looked up a company that dealt with my brand of window, and the owner talked to Larry about what he could try. Larry decided that he couldn't do the job. The owner of the other company agreed to come out and look at the window and use the glass Larry ordered if possible. When the other company came out, they actually called the manufacturer and determined what was needed. It was determined that the glass Larry ordered was the wrong size. I called Lincoln Way Glass and Mirror and explained the situation. The lady at the office took my info and said she would have Larry contact me. A week went by and I never heard from Larry, so I called again. The lady said she remembered me calling and had given Larry my message. She said she would contact him again. Larry then called back and I explained the situation to him. Larry insisted that he did not order the wrong size glass and the glass was non returnable. Again this is the guy who told me he had never seen a window like mine before and had to get help from another company to try and figure things out. So the customer pays for Larry's mistake. My experience with Larry and Lincoln Way Glass left me $150.00 in the hole with a useless pane of glass. I will never call this company for any service again and will spread the word on how they do business.
