(google that song if you don't know what it is, lol) I applied for a job I was totally qualified for and that would've allowed me to use my degree, so I felt it was a Win-Win. I passed all of the test associated with this position and was eager to hear back for my first assignment. A couple weeks went by, and I didn't hear anything, so I placed a phone call asking about the position. I was told it would be a couple more weeks until the employer was ready. After that, couple more weeks went by, then months. It was so long, that I totally forgot about the position I had applied for. I just felt it was very unprofessional to not keep your patrons updated, especially when I was told that would be the case. I came in the door fully qualified and ready to fulfill the goals of this position. I just hope they don't continue to leave qualified applicants on the fence in the future.

I have been entertaining the idea of switching careers and jobs and was given a little nudge when Chase from SNI contacted me with a potential opportunity. From the beginning, Chase was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He contacted me and explained the opportunity, and then set up a meeting for us to meet in person, even offering to come out and meet me closer to where I lived. I ended up going out to his office which was fine. The Collanade building is beautiful. The staff at SNI wonderful, thorough and friendly. Chase did an excellent job at explaining what the potential job would be, coordinating, communicating and really going above and beyond what people do. I would definitely recommend reaching out to SNI if looking for a new job opportunity. Everyone I dealt with was great.

Brittney and Laura were in regular contact with me throughout a difficult initial placement and worked on my behalf to quickly resolve the issue, reassigning me under a different senior manager within the same company. The support, professionalism, and diplomacy of the Insight Global representatives during a difficult situation was invaluable. As an active duty military spouse, I am accustomed to moving frequently and reinventing myself to match my skill set with the needs of the local area. I often partner with an employment agency to assist with job placement. Among the many different locations we have lived in and the different agencies I have contracted with, I find Insight Global Minneapolis to be the best at the service they provide.

Truth be told, I was not only initially reluctant to take a contract job but also skeptical to work with a company that was new to the Minneapolis\St Paul area. However, my gamble to "try something new" proved to be a success. The culture of Insight Global is very pleasant; the staff is friendly and they seem to genuinely care about not only their contractors but their clients as well. The contractor benefits are the same provided to actual Insight Global employees and the pay is very competitive. Assuming I continue contract type work, I will definitely make Insight Global my preferred staffing firm. Cons: No paid time off accrual and an initial wait for benefits. Both of which seem standard for those doing contract type work.
