It was spotless and actually kind of modern. The kitchen was handy and there was plenty of room for preparation. Our picnic was in 95 degree heat so I have to admit it was pretty hot in there. Portable fans can easily take care of that. The lake is pretty. Not a swimming lake...but nice nonetheless. Overall, we had a great experience!

The campground is not exactly wooded, but is filled with big trees, giving it lots of shade and a bit of a wooded feel, which we like. The parking pad at our site was nice and level and big enough for our truck and trailer. The picnic table and fire pit did the trick. The campground was really noisy until exactly 10pm when everything fell silent. It was quiet until 6:30am, so sleeping was easy-- minus the yells of wild animals that fought nearby. The bathrooms were impressively clean! At least the family and women's room. I didn't shower there, but will remember for next time how clean they were. The camping fee was comparable to anywhere else we've camped. Will be back!

The trails are clean and well kept. If hiking isn't your thing, there are lots of areas to play frisbee, let your kids run around, or have a picnic in the shade. It's about a 45 minute drive for us, so we don't go often but when we do go once or twice a year, we always enjoy this beautiful park.

The pool area is very nice and there is a nice nature trail through the woods with plenty of space that you don't have to walk through poison ivy. Many people took their golf carts back there for a little pleasure cruise. The campground is very quiet as far as the campers. However, the freeway noise is very loud. That is the only reason for 4 stars rating instead of 5, although the noise is not the fault of the campground. We enjoyed our 3 night stay very much and would recommend.

We had to use our extension cord, which wasn't a bid deal, only kind of weird. Many of the "long-term" RVs in the park are trashed out or have a bunch of junk at their sites. To me, this could have been a very pleasant place to stay except for the junk around there, which made it "felt sketchy". That said, no one bothered us and the lake by us was beautiful.

The last three times we have been here, we have had to check the…read morecabin prior to bringing any belongings in only to find it filthy with food under the beds , discarded Gatorade and water bottles and a load of dust . The water barely works in the restrooms and you can totally forget about a hot shower . The snack bar is never open , the staff is friendly and helpful but their prices are ridiculous ! Last fall when we were there, we spent days listening to the maintenance people blowing leaves gravel and dust all over our vehicle from sunup to sundown . We reserved one of the full hookup sites online and stayed at the end of September 2025. The online…read morereservation site has all the details on lot size, electricity info, distance to showers, etc. However, it's limited in showing different dates, which is frustrating. Anyway, the check-in time is 3pm and check-out is 1pm. We paid fifty-three dollars per night for two adults and one dog, with a six fifty reservation charge. Check-in was easy, and the attendant was helpful; you just drive up to the office, check-in and go on your way. The layout is similar to a subdivision with cul-de-sacs and each spot having its own little yard, making it feel somewhat like camping in the woods. Our neighbors were quiet and most vehicles drove slowly. Everyone we met was pleasant and friendly. The camp itself was clean and easy to hook up. Bathrooms and showers were clean and there was plenty of toilet paper. Large trash bins were available along with gray water stations. The only thing I'd suggest is for the site identifiers to be repainted, as several had faded over time. We visited the beach, but didn't go swimming, given the temperature. The pond is catch and release and seemed maintained and not stagnant. The budget limitations need to be considered before passing judgment. We used bug spray every day and that seemed to help keep the bugs away. The site we booked had a level surface and plenty of room to back in. The water and electrical were easily accessible and worked fine. A lot of campers used an inline water filter. The water quality report is on the park website for anyone interested. The grass was well trodden, making a camp rug a must-have. There was also a fire pit with a grill attached, but we didn't use it to cook. Also, at the time, there wasn't a burn ban. Overall it was an enjoyable experience and we'll definitely return. It was fun to walk down the aisles and see all the setups and decorations and note future camp site options. How many campers are long-timers, it's hard to tell. But we were pleased and our dog loved exploring on our walks.

The site was a gravel base which was nice but, the electric outlet was way in the back and the water spicket was way in the front, on the wrong side. I've never seen a site set up like that before. It was very tricky getting the RV in just the right spot so that electric cord would reach, but I couldn't get the hose to reach so I ended up borrowing a hose extension.

The staff is wonderful, very helpful and friendly and will go out of their way to help you. They ARE very pet friendly, (we have two cats and a dog) you just have to clean up after your pets and keep them on a leash. The bathrooms are clean and air-conditioned. The grounds are very well maintained and they have pump out service for a small fee (if you get a site that doesn't have septic) and RV service and repair. They installed our new air conditioner and did a fantastic job. They also have fun events here. We will be staying here every time we come to Ohio. Don't be fooled by a poor review. This park is awesome. You should definitely check it out.

We visited Armstrong Air and Space museum on Sunday. It was awesome experience. It revealed the many Ohioans who been to space since the 1960's to present day.
