She is 9 years old and began having seizures about two years ago when her mother's emotional and physical states began to deteriorate due to mental disease. In addition, her parents were on the path to divorce. It was too much for her and her twin brother to deal with. I felt the seizures were related to my niece's emotional state which preceded the tremors and eye rolling. She needed spiritual healing.. Linda was able to have a session with the twins right away. Despicable and predatory business practices that prey on the already vulnerable. I was desperate…read morefor help, new and naive to having independent insurance, and thought my insurance would cover most of the (as I now know) ridiculously overpriced sessions. I was charged out of pocket a "sliding scale" amount of $325 (which was still more than full price as far as any other therapist would go) promptly to my credit card after every single session, and at the same time they filed a claim with my insurance for the full price $500. This is double billing, which if not out right illegal is at best shady. When I called my insurance I was informed of not only this wrong doing, but that as standard practice, a provider, out of network or not, who files claims with an insurance is not supposed to charge anything to patient until it has been processed through insurance. Further more, I was informed per my insurance's regulation they are only allowed to charge me ~$60 a session since they filed claims and thus entered into a contract with my insurance. I have called them twice with a representative from my insurance to explain in no uncertain terms what the situation was and to give them a chance to refund me. This was met with polite stonewalling nonsense that "they were not obligated to my insurance's laws because they were out of network." When I emailed them with extensive proof of my insurance's legal policy for out-of-network providers that shows that they legally can only charge 15% more than my insurance's allowed amount, I have been met with crickets. Since they have refused to refund me, per the advice of multiple representatives, I have filed a fraud suit with my insurance. As for my experience with the actual people, I had an incredibly brief "intake interview" with the Dr. Zackson, who's primary mission seemed to be getting off the phone with me as soon as possible instead of listening to my symptoms, I was pushed to take a male therapist when I'd explicitly expressed I wanted a female one. Outside of this, all the employees I came into contact with were polite, helpful, and seemed compassionate. And though I did not want a male therapist, I found use and made progress in the therapy I received before stopping treatment. But I cannot excuse this blatant exploitation of the vulnerable and the incredible audacity to continue to spout nonsense and withhold my money (which I desperately need as a self-supporting college student) when they are being confronted with the obvious reality of their wrong doing from multiple authoritative sources. Absolutely insidious behavior for a practice that claims to be about helping people.

In just 1 session I was immediately brought the front door, unlocking the connection to my wiser self. SHORT STORY: Call and make the appointment. You won't regret it. Donna is great at what she does. She knows how to guide you on the path you wish to travel sort of speak. Her session pack a punch and is worth every penny and every minute. Be warned the deep relaxing sessions are addictive. You want to go back for more. You will feel a sense of happiness, refreshment and accomplishment when you "wake up" from your session. MORE DETATILS: I WAS skeptical about hypnosis. All I knew about it was from TV and movies. It's hokey and who wants to cluck like a chicken. Hey at one point of my life I viewed going to therapy was for the "weak". Now because of TV shows like the Sopranos, therapy is no longer a mystery and completely socially acceptable. Research. The key is to demystify hypnosis. I looked up a tons of videos and articles. I came across Donna's thorough and detailed videos. The way she talked about hypnosis was less scary, less magical and more scientific and practical. The videos help you get familiar not only with the process but with Donna who will guide you and make you feel more comfortable to make that call and make an appointment. Office. The office on the 1st floor and is conveniently located where there is lots of parking. The space is a typical office you'd expect, clean and tidy. You have a "pregame chat" or discovery chatI call it, then do the actual hypnosis in a nice cozy room. The process: -First you start with a pregame chat where Donna guides you with questions to explore what kind of things you would like to work on and what messages you want to suggest or impress upon your subconscious. -Then you head into the hypnosis room, where you sit in big comfy recliner with a big fuzzy blanket and lights dimmed down. -Next Donna plays some relaxing meditation music as she guides you into deep relaxation. She will get you into this deep and deeper relaxation state. Even if you have trouble focusing Donna's calm and soothing voice will allow you to just slow down. I promise. -When you reach this deep state of relaxation she will start saying suggestions about what you talked about earlier and slowly guided you back up to reality. - You "wake up" feeling amazing. The actual hypnosis will feel like hours when in reality it was only 10-15 minutes. Cost: I signed up for the 5 sessions. Price wise it is comparable to the cost of a phycologist. Well worth it! Hypnosis vs Therapy: I think therapy is wonderful and everyone can use someone to talk to. The con with therapy is that its a long process and you talk about stuff and discovery belief systems that don't serve you and talk about it some more on an Ego level. Hypnosis cuts to the chase! Identify the thought that does does not serve you and replace it with a thought that does serve you and programs you towards your goal. I have discovered more with Donna in our short period of time than I did in years of therapy. Again therapy is not bad.
