I'll start with the space itself which was what originally made me want to take a class here. The atmosphere was dreamy and blissful with rainbow-colored sunbeams coming in through the glass in the window and filling the room. Simply and tastefully decorated creating the perfect environment for yoga practice and meditation. So much better than your typical commercial yoga studio. The class I took was with Jennifer and she was awesome! Really professional and she has such great energy. She really knows how to conduct a class. You can tell she's experienced, knowledgeable and loves what she's doing. I tend to get restless midway through yoga classes but not in this one. I could have gone even longer. I found the whole experience to be very personal, spiritual, healing, energizing and relaxing all at the same time. I felt fantastic and chakra connected when it was over and thought about it for days. It's rare I come out of a yoga class and feel my mind, body and soul fully tended to. Can't wait to go back!

At it's peak, there were 150+ fellow viewers. I loved every moment... the wonderful instructor was extremely calming, motivating, down to earth and genuinely positive. I wish I could make him the voice of my alarm clock each morning. Thank you again for hosting this. I've done a few guided meditation sessions before and this one was amongst the most well run. In fact, I almost forgot that this was being done over Zoom... it felt like the class was literally happening within my living room. At times like these, it was such an honor to be surrounded (even if virtually) by hundreds of like-minded and positive individuals. That group dance sess at the end was the icing on the cake!

I feel that anyone with a stressful lifestyle could benefit from this center's services. They offer on line classes or online one on one sessions. They are open every day- so there is no excuse to not be able to get some stress relief! Their hours are Monday- Saturday 10 am-10 pm and Sunday 10 am- 3 pm! I, myself have enjoyed massages, sauna sessions and a variety of yoga classes here and feel more calm and confident after each session. I went to a Sound Healing class last night with my friends and was very excited to experience the…read moresalt cave as well as the sound bath. This was my first time visiting the Healing Grotto and I was excited based off the event description and the picture from the website. Unfortunately, we didn't get anything that was advertised! "Small groups with inviduals sitting in anti gravity chairs to completely relax" - There were NO chairs. We had to sit on the floor for over an hour and a half which is torture on my body!! They crammed maybe 25 of us into the tiny salt cave and some of us barely has room to half lay down. It was very, very clear they overbooked and just wanted to get more money rather than make this event special for their attendees. "During the session, Rick will move around the room and give each attendee a more personal experience" - Absolutely not. There was no room for anyone to do anything, let alone for him to get up and come to each of his. I do not blame Rick for this. "Each attendee will receive a complimentary 10 minute "Chakra on the Go" download" - Didn't happen! We asked the guy behind the counter about this and he had no clue what was advertised on their website. He tried to make us ask Rick about it but we made him ask, seeing as he was the one working there. We were told to message Rick for our download. The facility itself seems nice but I certainly wouldn't get a massage there. The rooms led right into the lobby and I can't imagine how loud it gets. Speaking of loud, distracting noises, during the sound healing there were motors running the whole time, switching on and off. Very distracting on top of my pain from sitting on the floor. All in all, I did not enjoy my experience, I feel I completely wasted $50 and I feel I was ripped off. To be promised a relaxing, intimate of healing and just get a painful, session of 'how long can you sit still", is no fun and I don't feel any better, happier or healed for having visited this place. Oh and that guy either had no clue what he was doing trying to ring my friend up or he deliberately wasted an extra 10 minutes of our time. Which brings up another point, the healing was an 80 min session. About 30 of those minutes were spent chit chatting and an unnecessary Q&A afterwards that seriously broke any sort of connection I had received from the music. An awful night made only better by virtue of the fact that I was with my friends and Rick's music was nice, I'll admit. Certainly never coming back to this location though.

I can't recommend the psychic staff in addition to the on-site staff that gives assistance enough. This is the best shop on Long Island and it's even competing with Manhattan shops. I lived in Manhattan. I know all the shops there. I am happy being here. This Monday is the official release of Dina's new Tarot deck called,"The Crystal Keys Tarot." This deck is so amazing. Its becoming my regular deck. Her heart, soul and mind are in it. Dina's warmth, humor and precision come right off the cards and the pages. She is likely to sell out for a second time. Dina and Dani are the greatest team out there. This is a shop of inspiration, caring and acceptance. Those are their non-negotiables I have found. I have bought something of everything in their shop. From decks, books, classes to crystals and jewelry made by local artists. The two stores, the Apothecary and the Atheneum right next door, are like my wonderland of happiness. Dina, Dani, Vinnie, Katie, Alex, Tye, Sam, Kanela,Kia, Thais, Andrew among even more staff, like wow!!! They got something for everyone. I'd call this a top shelf, fun, exciting and whole experience. I had sat right under the pipe that steams, because I was not warned otherwise and it was the only spot left. It was a very full class. I do not have a very sensitive nose but there was an odor that I could not get past, I know it is not the establishments fault but it unfortunately added to my negative experience

The owner took absolutely no responsibility for her actions and decided to disclose information about my call log and state non factual things about me to ok her wrong doings . Which may I add is not legal. She proceeded to say she felt disrespected by me (her client) because I walked in one day at at 4:28 when class started at 4:30. While I was trying to rush into class the owner kept going back and forth with me about me going in and out. Unfortunately, this studio charges for everything so I usually bring my own weights. Due to her going back and forth I felt overwhelmed and wanted get in I decided to leave my bag and not take the weights. I'm positive that in the middle of the back and forth I made a face (I was uncomfortable) because this owner started repressing her client super loud in front of ppl. I guess from that moment on the owner had it out for me. This studio overbooks and then mistreats people when there is no space. As an owner if you felt that me arriving at 4:28 was unacceptable you should've cancelled my class and not allow me into the class. That's perfectly fine. Instead you proceeded to have a back and forth with your client. Due to this situation the owner proceeded to tell my sister that this is why she felt the need to disrespect me because she felt disrespected in front of her brother. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. I must say I feel bullied at this point. She should have pulled me to the side to discuss any issues because I am not a nasty person and I can definitely admit to my mistakes. There are ways as an owner to address things with your clients instead of having it out for them. May I also add she did this to two other clients on Sunday. Took their reservation and didn't allow them to come into class because it was over booked. In this case it is unfortunate because we felt like since Maria is the owner to a YOGA studio maybe we could discuss what happened in a calmer manner and understand both sides she proceeded to take zero accountability for her disrespect. At this point after witnessing this owners behavior it is clear that she only cares about money and wants to walk around mistreating people because she's the "owner". Extremely distasteful. She decided to embarrass two of her clients and allow them to walk out upset. I felt like I was in the mean girls movie. Completely disregarded your clients feelings. ** She also blocked my sister from being able to talk classes in her studio. ** No need to block me because I will never step foot into a studio that does not care about people's feelings. This review is super upsetting because I NEVER LEAVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS, but in this case I felt like it was necessary. I really liked this studio, the owner is extremely disrespectful though. There are ways to speak to your clients, but this owner was completely out of line. Screaming at your clients after a class that is suppose to clear your mind is absurd. Yelling at your client in front of the whole class and may I add she yelled at my little sister who suffers from depression loves working out here and this has been the only studio where I have been able to get her to like and come to. It's extremely disheartening. I am fully aware that every studio has its rules, but there are ways to express those rules without being condescending to your client. The class ended at 10:29 we waked out at 10:30. I understand we have to respect others meditation, but we did not walk out before the class ended. I am fully aware as this is not the only studio I go to that we have to be mindful of others meditation while walking out. May I also add, the owner was taking the class as well. She proceeded to yell while my little sister was walking out disrupting everyone in the class (meditating ) and embarrassing her. It was a very mean-spirited, UNPROFESSIONAL move. The instructors here are great and I would love to continue coming here, but after today it makes it really hard to feel comfortable here. It's unfortunate bc mental health is a big deal and these studios represent clearing your mind and soul. Unfortunately, after today I'm not sure this space is for me. I walked out from this confrontation with anxiety due to the owner. Tbh I hate to leave this review bc I do like classes , but this is not the first incident I had with the owner. It would have been more appropriate if the owner would've approached this is calmer/ private manner. Instead of continually repeating her point for everyone to hear. She repeated herself 10 times. I hope this review serves as a learning experience. I am a business owner as well and I could never imagine speaking to any of my clients in this manner.
