But he soaked it off & used the nail drill and it took forever to remove the gel polish on my toes. Nail drill bit was not sharp, cuticle cutter was not sharp, very dull materials ... also zero ventilation in the salon. Rubbing hot stones on ankle bones (yes directly on the bone) is painful and he did exactly that. Thankfully it was a very short massage ... which was a blessing in this situation but I feel it should have been a longer massage for a $60 service. He also painted on my Cuticle line, so it looks messy with gel polish. And didn't clean up the polish left on my skin. And the big toe polish is MESSED UP you can see the brush strokes and its matte/smudged and this is gel polish Pros: pedicure clay mask w hot towels was nice

When I came, I was told that was not the appointment I made. I have been getting my nails done for over 2 decades so I know that I said "full set with gel builder and a pedicure"multiple times when I was scheduling the appointment. Those are the services I get. I thought it was strange that only 3 people were working on a Saturday afternoon. The woman who was greeting customers kept going to talk to someone giving another customer a pedicure. (Full disclosure: I speak Spanish) I asked if there was a problem and she said she was going to start my nails. She cut my cuticles and filed my nail beds and then moved me to a pedicure chair because I was moving to get a pedicure. They moved me to a chair right next to someone and my keys, phone, and wallet needed to stay in my lap because the chairs were so close together only 1 side table could be up at a time. I was not shown a pedicure menu or asked what type of pedicure I wanted. At 2, my pedicure was done and I was told it was going to be longer until my nails were done. I decided I had enough and said just the pedicure is fine. They give a back massage through a plastic bag while your nails are drying. Will not be coming back.

I called Crystal as soon as they opened this morning for an appointment. They told me that they had no openings, but that I could go as a walk in at 2:00. I started to feel like I was at a car dealership where they just tell you what you want to hear just to get you in there. After leaving there I called Cozy and as expected got an appointment in 20 minutes, exactly the time it would take to get there. Nothing was cozy about Cozy nails. Wouldn't even call it a spa. I had to ask for gel polish & the employee put on such a thick layer of gel it is almost tacky feeling and it dents/imprints easily. The employees spoke to the other employee and said the UV light wasnt working correctly, so dont use it on the next customer. That's why my polish isnt right. Not only that but their tips go in a "tip bucket" with their name on it instead of their own pockets ... why??? Just why?? Let me give my cash tip directly to the employee and not the bucket. I'll never return and will never recommend this business.

Prices: could not find this anywhere since there's no website or Yelp info. Manicure is $12 excluding tax and tip. Pedicure is $30 excluding tax and tip. Manicure and pedicure is $42 (so no discounts if you get both). Environment: no strong chemical odor which was surprising given that place is small and doors are closed. Had a nail drying desk on the right when you walk in. 6 or so pedicure massage chairs. Left is 6 manicure stations where some are arranged in an L-shape so they have two people working with one customer, one doing left hand and other one on the right hand. Thought that was new and efficient. Kind of feels crowded/small since they've got a lot of stuff/clutter. Service: friendly people, fast service for sure as I didn't see anyone who had to wait but also due to everyone making appts. Observed that nobody really talked to each other; ladies who work there know little English. Fairly calm environment with the music and tv in background. I wish this place met/exceeded my expectations given that it's near my new home. I may still go to my other regular Vernon nail place given that they're at the same price and I'm more familiar with people there. Relatively speaking, this place is decent but I'd drive 20 minutes to my other place as its a completely different vibe- more spacious, open, airy, feels higher quality for service for same buck, and more professional. I've recommended that place to many friends who also love it there. May not do the same for this place. I was also disappointed that my nails smudged/chipped on the way out since it didn't dry completely even though they've dismissed me from the drying and put final oil on top of the nails. I didn't bother going back given time constraint and more work/time. So essentially I got imperfect nails done for the money. Let's see how long they last.

I have been going to this nail salon for a few years and recently had an extremely uncomfortable…read moresituation. The sister of the owner did my nails and toe color change. When she did my gel French manicure, I noticed a bubble on the white tip and mentioned it to her, but she tried to tell me you can't notice it and it's fine. I was going to let it be as I did not want to make it a big deal. However, she did my toe color change and removed my prior color which was blue. It wasn't until I stepped outside right in front of the nail salon that I noticed bright blue around the edges and sides of my toe nails that were supposed to be French white tips. I politely went back in and spoke with the owner Vy and she told me that I asked for a color change not a pedicure. If I knew they were going to leave blue under my pedicure because I asked for a color toe change than I would have taken my own nail polish off and not pay for the service of toe color change. The sister who did my nails than proceeded to say "Oh my God, really you are so annoying," she than offered to fix it but continued to make comments to belittle me and offend me as a customer in front of their clients due to the fact that I spoke up about not being satisfied with my service even after paying $70 for the services. I told her after calling me annoying that I do not feel comfortable with her fixing my nails. She responded, "well do you want your money back?" I honestly wasn't even going to ask for my money back but after she got confrontational I told her yes actually I would like my money back. She than threw back my bank card and receipt on the front desk and told me "now Go home and don't come back". Please don't go to this place because they clearly do not know how to treat their customers. I have been going to this place every two weeks for the past few years and have never complained. For the owners to not intervene and allowed the sister to continue to be rude and disrespectful to me was disheartening and inhumane.

I know most men neglect this one area of grooming and often find themselves being ridiculed by females and makes alike. I choose to avoid that by making sure that aspect of care is done by professionals. Granted I don't get my hands done, because I don't believe in it plus my lifestyle involves me to use my hands (sorry I'm not a sultan or a prince, my life is that of a European's but not of royalty). I figured I'm going on vacation and wearing sandals throughout it, so I know my feet will be getting a lot of exposure. 2.) What your eyes may see: This place is located on a busy area of Rocky Hill. I could call this area Silas Deane Highway, because it runs straight into it. It's kind of busy. Inside its pretty bright, decently clean. There is I believe a massage and waxing area (private room separated by curtain cloth). It use to be Em & Lee (Lee's name is actually "V" for short), now it's just "V" running the shop. There are two other pretty Vietnamese assistants, besides "V." It's normally busy here during the times I come, as a matter of fact I have experienced many quiet appointments. There are two massage chairs. They seem to be fairly new and okay for what they can do. Apparently you can use their wifi which they have the password posted up on the wall. 3.) Service: The women are very sweet. Sometimes you can get a half a**ed job, so it can be inconsistent. Inconsistent meaning they wouldnt clip my nails well or pumis the feet well, clip out cuticles. Today I've gotten great treatment. They don't do like other places the foot and leg massage. 4.) Price: I paid $25 for this pedicure. 5.) I like coming here because I've been going here for a couple years. The price seems okay and the staff are very nice.
