My son is no athlete, but he got to play every sport including Varsity soccer, basketball, and golf. They begged him to play on the tennis team. The coaches are top tier and every kid can play building those important team building skills. My son has also been able to travel with the school to England, Italy, France, Germany, and Switzerland to meet students from around the world. He has also built great connections in Asia, India, and Norway. Im up in age and know the who you know and good connections will beat smarts every day of the week. Many of the kids come from successful business owners and when he goes to their houses he can see what hard work and a little risk can result in My son and his friends dont just talk about future jobs but what businesses they are going to build. Can you imagine what Millwood kids can put on their college applications compared to if I let him go to a regular school. I have never written a review, but possible parents have to know about Millwood. I'll probably get all my money back in way of extra scholarships. It has been worth every penny and any sacrifice. Give Millwood a try.

In terms of academics, it is a decent school. However, this schools administration is truly…read moreterrible in my opinion. The administration does absolutely zero solutions in any situation. The school does not hesitate to violate its own "code of conduct", often to benefit the school, even if it harms its students. The school will do nothing if a student is harassed or bullied, and it will cover up any incidents that occur at the school without even attempting to solve them if it will make the school look bad. Again, the actual academics are good, but I would strongly advise against going here, due to the administration.

My son has been attending Minnieland since he was 12 weeks old. As hard as it was to leave him…read morewith strangers, it soon became apparent that the staff at this school would always take exceptional care of my baby. The teachers genuinely care about him - they delight in his achievements and milestones, they keep me in the loop about all of the moments I have to miss while at work, and they treat him with individualized care. Jenny and Tori are flexible and accommodative and are regularly involved with the kids - these are not administrators who simply sit at a desk all day. They know every child and every parent and are in tune with the needs of each family. The communication is excellent - I always know what's happening in the school, in the classroom, and in my son's day. Heather, Nichole, Wanda, Nicole, Megan, and all of the teachers are so amazing - there has never been a day that I have worried at all about leaving my precious boy in the care of these extraordinary women.

Needless to say, leaving her the first day was hard...for me....she pushed me out the door because she INSTANTLY loved it. The teachers and directors know all the student's names which gives you that family feeling and a great sense of security. I recommend everyone to take their children to this location. PLUS it's VERY affordable especially in comparison to other daycares. I am so grateful I found them.

As I sit here and read reviews of area child care facilities that I have personally visited, it is…read moreclear to me this particular location is not fit for children ages let's say 5-12 as they are not being suitably attended to. What is the child to adult ratio? Kids are running about and not being reprimanded. Yes, I was there long enough to observe such behavior. As to the reviews, I believe everyone is intitled to their opinion! But these issues should've been addressed by management and not taken lightly rather than unjustly dismiss a Child from your care center. Who is in charge? Management or your so called teachers? Thank you Mr. and Mrs. M for your honest views of this facility sorry you had such a poor experience! Thanks for the opportunity to submit my opinion and keep my kids from attending in the future!

Within a few weeks, my son was thriving socially and coming home with a much stronger vocabulary. The teachers have always been amazing and loving to my son. They really put in effort to make sure the environment is focused on teaching, manners and behaved free play. The lesson plans are followed through with just enough time for indoor and outdoor play. This daycare ( I call it school because of its high focus of learning) would be a perfect fit for a parent wanting best for their children, educationally and socially. As much as I want my child to be smart, I also want him to be a well rounded- good person and the learning connection has the same goal in mind for each child. If your looking for a facility and unsure, make an appointment with the leadership at TLC and i am hopeful you will leave with your child enrolled. My son looks forward to going and they do a great job on making learning fun. GREAT staff, awesome meals, perfect place to leave and be comfortable knowing your child is in good hands.

If I could give Walton Park zero stars it would be generous. Beware and look at other schools!…read more Don't be fooled by the owners used car salesman business philosophy. Like most businesses, some of the staff can be great (like Connie) but they by themselves can't overcome poisonous ownership.

4 years ago my wife and I set out on the daunting task of finding a preschool for our first child…read more We had a very specific set of criteria in mind (no more than 15 mins from home OR work, no more than a 4:1 ratio for newborns, a reliable development/education program that prepared for school, and a caring, honest staff) and set out on a series of site visits and interviews before committing to enrollment. As luck would have it, and somewhat surprising to me at the time, The Goddard School at Walton Park was the first school we visited and was the heads and tails winner amongst the schools we sampled. The school has a separate Owner (Ted) and Education Director (Connie), which I really liked because it allows each to focus on their respective fortes. I take pride in asking really difficult questions and Ted passed our interview with flying colors. Not only did he go to great lengths to explain the multitude of reasons why we should enroll at The Goddard School, he did so without a single cross word about ANY of his competitors. Connie was equally impressive in our conversation, explaining the details of the Goddard development philosophy and how that tied into their preschool educational plan. Both are incredibly personable, warm, and approachable. Also, a great selling point for us is that Connie is a retired nurse, FANTASTIC to have on site. From the handmade artwork that I receive daily, to the personalized reports that are sent home each day, to the cleanliness of the facility, to the exceptional teaching staff, to the special events like Summer Cookouts, to the on-site amenities like Little Kicks (through the Richmond Kickers), The Goddard School has exceeded our expectations in just about every way. Folks tend to knock TGS for not providing lunch for their children; frankly, I like the ability to tailor our lunches to the specific likes and dislikes of our kids. While schools like Primrose may provide lunch, it is a single option each day and pickier (or diet-restricted) children may be out of luck. When you throw in perks like a multi-child discount and referral bonus, it is 5 Star all the way around. The entire staff goes out of their way to make not only the children, but also the parents, feel like a family. In summation, we love it here and are pretty sure that you will, too.

I think it's because they do the same general thing week-to-week and there isn't a sense of goals or progress over time. I am also not a fan of their membership model. It's basically $100 a month and it just goes on infinitely until you choose to stop. I would prefer it to be structured more around "seasons" with a culminating show so the kids could feel a sense of growth, progress and pride. All in all - We enjoyed our time but will be looking for other gymnastics options in the future with a different class model oriented more towards growth.
