I came back after not going for a while only to see the vibe has completely shifted to some hyper-commercial coffee shop. There is no reason why a coffee and a matcha should cost $19 in the RGV. I don't even pay that in Austin. The employees are still great, nice, kind people. The place has just lost its integrity and charm. Overly expensive and pretty mid now. I left once they made me move my car for a market. Just block it off next time. I also hate the ugly posters in the front window. I needed this to happen to me so I could officially give up on it after I saw negative interactions with the employees from the owner on Facebook. Good luck Charlie!

Grind Coffee Company BAD CHOICE! NO STARS! WASTE of MONEY!…read more A horrible disappointment! Never again! I was genuinely excited to try the coffee here. I stated to the young lady at the counter that this was my first time patronizing the business and that I was looking forward their offerings. She looked at the other young lady at counter and rolled her eyes and just smirked. I asked her for some recommendations... their signature coffees, what they're known for, and customer favorites. She rolled her eyes again and with a smirk stated that "these are good" as she pointed to a piece of paper with a list of drinks that she pushed across the counter. She didn't make any recommendations, just read this. Noting her dismissive attitude, I just ordered my plain coffee which took almost 10 minutes. I paid for my coffee and went on to my meeting. I took a sip and realized that was not what I ordered. She did not serve me coffee she served some kind of chai nasty tasting mess with almond milk. I had to throw it out. Needless to say the $7.00 would've been better spent somewhere else. I don't feel valued as a customer at this place. I can't take them seriously, if they can't even be courteous enough to listen to the order, and ensure it was right. Such a shame, it truly was a lost opportunity to be welcoming, and willing to take me from first time customer to loyal customer. Failed at delivering an amazing customer service experience. Well as the saying goes, "You get what you paid for", I sure did! There are better places to get a Great cup of coffee... go there instead. Too bad for the owner that this person is the face of the business and a poor representative of the business. I guess we know now what NOT to expect from grind coffee company.

They do offer the " buzzed" ( alcoholic) ice cream as it's their specialty however they have non- " buzzed " ice cream as well. I liked that even thought they have their recommended flavors, you can still modify them. We got the death by chocolate, but changed the base to vanilla flavor ice cream. I enjoyed seeing how they made the ice cream with nitrogen . Flavors are very rich. It is very cute inside I like that they have an "instagramable" wall with different back grounds. Some of the tables have table games like Jenga , ring toss, and some card games . If you are around the area, I would definitely recommend stopping by.
