In May of 2022 I paid Steven Phillips, LLC, $2,400.00 to install gutters onto my new home. At the…read moretime I was a satisfied customer, as it seemed he did a professional job. However, I began sitting on the back patio in April of 2024 to watch the rain. During an average-to-heavy rainfall I noticed water pouring over a section of gutter at the back of my home. Later I verified there are no blockages, so I began investigating. I compared my home to the nearby neighbors who also had gutters installed, but by other companies. That's when I noticed six to eight downspouts on homes even smaller than mine. Mr. Phillips installed a total of four downspouts, so the problem became obvious. I called Mr. Phillips on May 2nd and explained the situation. He explained there must be a downspout every 40 feet. He remembered me and said to text him my information, which I did so immediately. I followed up with another polite and tactful text on May 6th and again on May 8th, but he has yet to respond as of May 26th. Incidentally, from the nearest downspout to the next in both directions, there is 62 feet and 77 feet respectively; far more than the 40 feet he mentioned. I went ahead and installed another downspout myself, as I can no longer wait. Therefore, I will no longer hire Steven Phillips LLC for any future work, nor will I ever recommend him to anyone else. Good luck with your business, Mr. Phillips!

I was approved for a VA grant to do the conversion. I set out to obtain quotes from multiple contractors. I hired CTG after meeting the supervisor John Roberts. He made it clear that the company would make sure my safety was priority and he assured me he could work with disabled veterans to meet their custom needs. A bench seat was designed to run along the back wall of my shower and grab bars were added in multiple locations in case of a vertigo spell. A handicap height toilet, and slip resistant vinyl tile was also needed. A man named Chris was the main contractor to do labor and installation. He is a seasoned professional and did a superb job laying my slip resistant vinyl bathroom tile. He knew exactly how to lay the tile pattern to make it look fantastic, and paid attention to detail. My shower and the seat he installed is sturdy and beautiful. My shower, tile, and handicap height toilet I am very pleased with. The supervisor John, made sure that I was completely satisfied with the final job. Before the job was started, I was able to meet with the company owner Bobby. He was friendly and answered all my questions. I felt confident in the company from start to finish. I think that this company's goal is customer satisfaction, and CTG as a team accomplished that for me. I will be hiring them again for future home renovation projects and will recommend them to my fellow veterans who may need their homes adapted.

They gave us a suggested To-Do list and a fair price to get the project done. I had no clue about the comprehensive Website they use to communicate. I used none of the features. I printed and initialed where necessary on one page of their contract and sent a check. When they indicated they were done, I sent another check. I thought it was over. I had no clue about the quality of workmanship they were using or clear on the time it would take. They apparently started the work immediately and finished quickly. I was contacted occasionally by Mica to see if the paperwork was in order. Because I was skeptical of using a website that is proprietary, all I printed was the page asking me to initial what we wanted on the suggestion list. I had NO CLUE Sugar Sands Construction made a video of the home before they started, a video of work in progress, and a video of the completed project. This was accompanied by more than 50 photos of the work. All surfaces in all rooms appear great. They corrected the siding on the home which was a serious challenge. Only because my wife is a Realtor do I rely on their resources. Our trust in Tammy really paid off with her suggestion on a contractor that had the resources to update the look of our second home.
