Beautiful and clean beach. Free parking They have basketball hoops and a very nice play area for your littles. Picnic tables are available under a covered area. They also have a free share bin for beach toys so kind

PEACE.... Absolutely one of the best beaches I've been to. Not only is it beautiful but it's so uncongested and clean. There are a lot of sea shells but very little seaweed. The sunset is absolutely breathtaking!

Nice large beach. Paid parking can be a problem if you arrive late morning. Lots of broken sea shells that can be painful on your feet, so wearing beach shoes would probably be best. We brought water and snacks to enjoy since there are no concessions around. Overall, we had a nice time and would definitely return while staying in the area. 4 Stars!

A beautiful deep beach with a parking lot attached. You have to pay for parking here using the app; prices were very reasonable. The walk from the parking lot is very short. The beach water was nice and clear with no sign of seaweed. Although in early March the water temp was far too cold for me, only 69°.

My husband and I recently visited Englewood beach. We are thoroughly impressed! Weather was great, water was blue, sun was shining. What more could we ask for? For the water to be warm.. ahah! But FL had a chilly winter! We were there on a Saturday so they were a little busy and it was the first nice day the area had seen in awhile so everyone was out, I would love to go back on a week day! We loved how quiet and restful this beach was, not overly crowded/packed as you would expect somewhere else would! Thank you Englewood for an awesome vacation!

Wonderful beach to visit close to Englewood and West Rotonda. A good amount of parking, nice bathroom facilites, and even a playground shaped like a pirate ship, this place is the perfect way to spend an afternoon at the beach. A fair amount of bars, shops, and cafes are located just across the street so you can easily make this place a day trip for the whole family. The beach itself is pretty flat with gobs of white sand and a flat, smooth sandy bottom which is perfect for swimming and walking. This beach is also a good place to look for seashells, especially Florida Conchs. The fishing off the beach is also pretty lively. I was lucky enough to catch a Bonnethead shark!

Amazing beach, so clean and barely any sea weed! That atmosphere is calm, few restaurants along the street, parking can be improved as there isn't much but I loved eating at the sandbar restaurant!

Beautiful beach. Worth the drive Lots of parking. Lots of entrances over the dunes. Not as packed with people like some beaches

We simply loved this beach! We did not go by the busier main beach! We went to the beach closer to the vacation homes. It was stunning, chill, and relaxing! We met a nice lady who had been staying there, and since she is a dog lover, she saw we were too, and let us use her drive way to park. If you are not staying on Englewood Beach, beside the main parking, it is hard to find parking! This beach is heavenly in more ways than one. There's not many shops in this area, and there are some bar and grills around. It is nice simple relaxation here!

Huge grouper dead right on the beach.

We arrived on a Saturday and the ocean was crystal blue. Three hours later the red tide hit the beaches in this area. Horrible smell and dead fish was terrible for our entire 4 day stay. How sad to see this beautiful beach look and smell like dumpter. This is NOT acceptable. What is the Governor doing about this! Our beaches are suffering and so will be its economy.

Absolutely beautiful! Might I add very peaceful as well. I would definitely recommend this quiet area to anyone. The beach is loaded with pretty seashells. I will definitely be back to Englewood beach!

Great area to enjoy the sunshine and search for sharks teeth . Occasionally they rent umbrella, chairs and beach tables making your beach experience more enjoyable.

Very busy beach on the weekends, lots of rowdy people. Weekdays are quiet and peaceful. Parking can be a problem on the weekends as well. There are a few good restaurants a short walk from the beach - Lock N Key has been my favorite so far. Clean restrooms, showers and a good size playground for kids.

Ask the Community - Englewood Beach

    Is this dog friendly?

No, you're not supposed to bring pets. Best to go to Brohard Paw Park; just 25 minutes to the north.

How far is the beach from the parking area? Would someone with slight mobility issues be able to make it with a cane or would wheelchair be better? Looks like it has boarded walkways. Thank you for any help

Cathy - They have handicap parking spaces however I'd recommend a wheelchair for the beach transportation. Its a bit of a walk . The area also rents beach chairs and umbrellas- Enjoy!… Read more

We were lucky enough to find parking pretty quickly and close to the walkway to the beach. We started walking towards the beach and as soon as we got out of the mangroves, we saw how busy it actually was. It was tricky finding a spot on the beach, but we did a little down the way. The water was still freezing, even though it was super hot outside and people of course were looking for shark teeth everywhere. I found a few teeth until my shifter broke and decided to stay for a little longer and then headed towards Siesta Key. It was so busy as soon as we left someone filled our spot.
