Worst experience ever! i took my car there, after picking it up my light went off within five minutes ...indicating an issue which was the reason it was in the shop. After spending several thousands of dollars for the services requested, I was told the sensor light was not replaced because it would of cost $125. Ha! thank you for allowing me to save $125 after spending 5,000 without asking me. They state they guarantee their work for a year however six weeks after my car was in the shop, another light indicating an ABS issue comes on which I was told had nothing to do with the work that had just been performed. Mind you, when it went into the shop initially, it was "SUPPOSEDLY" looked over thoroughly with a diagnosis of what issues were located. I pick up my car after spending another $600 only to have a loud muffler sound, when I called back to report this, I was told it was most likely from being "cold" when I called the owner, he told me it wasn't his car and he only put it on the lift, already trying to justify it wasn't anything they did. I asked if I could send him a text with the sound, do you have a cell phone number and he said no. LMAO. When I brought it back the next day, he came out to look at it personally, kicked the tail pipes and said yeah it's the muffler, it will be $1000 I can look into it for you. Are you kidding me???!!f is what I'm thinking. I said wow, it just happened out of nowhere and he responded, yes like a light bulb. I am beyond annoyed and extremely upset that I have just spent this kind of money only to have to find another mechanic to fix an issue that was not there when I dropped my car off for repairs. The blokes at Enginuity will spare you the pleasantries and focus on the work at hand. They are thee most trusted eyes & hands on Euro vehicles on the Cape. Horrible place. They didn't replace the cap properly on my expensive sports car. Within a very few miles I had no oil and my engine was kaput. Engenuity took no responsibility. I was left with no car. Never trust them with your car if they can't even get a simple service like an oil change right and don't stand behind their work. read more

Now that there is no Mercedes dealership on the Cape, I wondered what to do, especially since I have. Bluetec (diesel). A friend, who has a Ben, told me that he and his brother have both had good experiences with this place, and that they had hired some mechanics from the closed Hyannis dealership/service location. When I needed a scheduled service, I brought it in, and found they were familiar with it, and did the job for a bit less than a dealership charges. When my car wouldn't start last wInter, I had it towed there, and they determined it was just the battery. They could have said it was other stuff, but easily passed the honesty test. Further, they knew the OEM for the Bluetec. I have confidence in this place. They don't charge bargain basement rates, reflective of the experience and expertise. read more

Enginuity has no Integrity...they gave me an absurd estimate of $2,500 for a tune up then asked to be PAID $113 for the estimate. I was shocked! Mike spoke to me on phone when I made appt for estimate yet never mentioned they charge for it.'.also not disclosed on website. Next I took his list to my mechanic son in law who works for a car dealership off Cape. He said I needed ONE part costing $83 bucks. He put in part, Changed spark plugs, end of story. I wish I could copy Mikes list of all my car needed....such a joke. Beware! read more

Beware of this place! Went to have my air-conditioning checked. They said they filled it with coolant, and charged $158.00! We drove away, tried it and it still didn't work. We returned and they said it needed an electronic sensor. I didn't bother pricing it. We went to the dealer. They said the sensor was unplugged (hmmmm). They also said that the coolant WAS LOW! Did a dye test, plugged in the sensor, filled up the coolant..charge was $99. We are out the $158 for a con job. So watch yourself with these guys. Nice couch, though. read more

Late Friday afternoon on 11/3/2017 while spending a few days on Cape Cod, we had an emergency situation with our car on Route 134 in South Dennis, a stone's throw from Enginuity. Back in the day I recall many horror stories of folks who got burned while on such trips, as the repair shops have you as a captive audience. Well, even though it was just about closing, we fortunately were able to "limp" the vehicle into their lot to assess the situation, unaware it was an auto repair shop. One of their guys immediately came to our attention, and offered to help, despite the late hour. We were using a rental car which complicated the situation, but Enginity was able to get us back on the road, and even helped line up parts that would be needed for a permanent repair depending on the recommendation of the rental agency. Based on the actions of the three gentlemen including the apparent owner or manager, we would not hesitate to return to them for repairs in the event we need them in the future. It's tough to have car problems on vacation, so I just wanted to let future customers know of our experience, and hope they have the same level of success as we did. I've never written on here -before but the service at Enginuity is just the best. Mike and his team have fixed issues with both my cars (older BMW's) and I find he is fair and direct and makes the right recommendations for what I really need done and when. I know parts on foreign cars aren't cheap, but I know if Mike says my car needs it- my car needs it. It's nice to know I can trust what he says. And I have to add how nice the techs are. I had my oil changed there and it took less then 10 minutes. The clock/ control box was flashing saying "0" and "perform service" and "coolant low". I told the guy who worked on it and he said we can't adjust the box on old cars. I left and came back when I realized he did not put a sticker inside on the left saying when I needed my next oil change. After two days of beeping every time I started the car, I went ta garage and explained it to him. He checked the fluids and the coolant and it had not been filled. So it really did need coolant. He then fixed the control box .Now I know why it only took them 10 minutes to change the oil! And for that I was charged $40.00. I will not go back there again! read more

This was my third service at Enginuity. The first and the last were on My 02 BMW X5 and the second one was on 86 Porshe 944Turbo. Whatever was diagnosed was presented with estimated cost. Mike has, I believe, 4 levels of repairs: what must be done (would not let you back on the road), what should be repaired, third level is what might be repaired, but no rush, and last is what Mike would not repair unless specifically asked for, as it's not essential. It's rare to get this kind of report and the decision is easy. But Mike would not be running probably one of the best BMW shops if he would not have right mechanics working there. John is a real darling and he put his heart in repairing my 18 year old "looking like new" X5, which has over 225,000 miles and is 4.6 is. These engines are not meant to go this long, but, John thinks otherwise, LOL! He fixed even my plate light which got rotted and is a real pain to repair. For the amount of parts and work, they charged a reasonable amount, and I wish there would be more shops like this and more people like Mike and John and other shop guys who shame the dealers-stealers. Whoever had a bad experience here, didn't understand how they operate; straightforward, not doing incomplete repairs and not ever putting cheap, easy failing parts in our cars. read more

I took my Mercedes here a few times for basic maintenance- overpriced. What really annoyed me was when I asked them to check a service light and I come out with a $160 oil change which I didn't ask for. The last thing that did it for me was when I had them plug it into the system diagnostic tool which took all of 1 minute....they told me they couldn't fix it and gave me a bill for $50. Outrageously expensive. I always expected to pay more to have work done on my BMW, but I didn't anticipate being charged far more for labor and parts than what the dealer charges. An oil change was $150!! They inflated the price of one part by five times!! What the service guy (I believe he is also the owner) will tell you when you pick up your car with the $970 bill in the evening is a far different tale than the $350 or so he told you in the morning it would be when you dropped off the car. They didn't even call to ask if I wanted some of the work done. Never again. As another poster said, their honesty is questionable. read more

A good friend recommended Enginuity several years ago and I've had my very old Volvo serviced there with great results. They are nice and polite, the guys are trained and up to date on the cars they service and it saves me lots of money. I've had big and little servicing and it's always less expensive than any other option. As long as they are open, I can avoid buying a new car! I could write a rave review every time I pick up my car. If there is something beyond their training, they send me elsewhere. It costs less to have my 10-year old Volvo serviced annually, than it does my friends who have to take their cars to dealership service departments. read more
