After waterproofing didn't help, we contacted Manu at Grow Earth to see if leveling the yard would help with the problem. He came out to survey and gave suggestions and started to plan. Our project was delayed due to city work on our block but the team at Grow Earth was able to come out right before the first snow and get things squared away. They were quick, respectful of our property, and cleaned as they went. Manu kept us informed of the progress and checked in to see if we had questions or concerns. The completed backyard is beautiful work and we have had no water problems since the install. They were reasonably priced, professional and easy to work with. We were treated like family and were given honest advice. We are so pleased with the outcome and highly recommended them for your landscaping needs.

They were able to quote very quickly, and since our back yard was unusable (all dirt!) after another construction project, they fit us in quickly so we could get back to enjoying the results. The project hit a few hiccups - namely a massive buried tree stump and the need to lay some drainage after discovering water pooling - but Manu and his team were able to accommodate and adjust to keep things moving. This is the most unprofessional, inexperienced, and unethical company I've ever dealt with. When they were installing the green, the owner threatened to stop installation because they only had enough material to do 2/3 of the green. The reason, "I gave them wrong measurements." Their entire business design, pricing, material, labor is all based on square footage. They came out twice to measure. I regret ever hiring SYNLawn of MI. Now I must invest good money into bad trying to get whatever I can back in court.

I would not recommend this company based on my experience…read more In 1990, this company installed an irrigation system at my home. Their own irrigation drawing from that time shows the main line entirely on my property. However, it was later discovered that the main line had actually been installed approximately four feet onto the neighboring lot. This improper placement caused repeated damage over the years whenever work occurred next door. In 2025, the company charged me $2300 to relocate the line back onto my property -- effectively billing me to correct their original installation error. When I disputed the charge, the company pursued legal action rather than acknowledging the mistake. The court ruled on statute-of-limitations grounds due to the age of the installation, not on whether the original work was performed correctly. Based on this experience, I recommend homeowners be very cautious and independently verify property boundaries and installation locations.
