We would like to think of going to Enfield Square as a great shopping trip, but really with stores going in and out of business, and the anchors changing--Sears going out, and we do not support Macy's anymore because they do not support our president, so we were not sad to see them go--we aren't sure we look forward to going there just for Target, and sometimes the Cinema. But we haven't done either for months. Really we only go there for Panera now. So if Panera ever moves out, we're not sure why we would go there at all, sorry to say. Maybe Nordstrom's or Whole Foods or something good could come in--and we would be there every week! Hmm. Not sure if that can happen. read more

With the loss of Macys and Sears about to close, this little mall doesn't have many big name stores here besides Target. However, because it's not overly crowded-- it's a great place to walk for exercise in winter weather and that is where I usually head for a few laps. Besides Panera there is just a pizza shop and Crepes Tea House for food options. Although a quick nice lunch can be found at Crepes Tea House. The theater here is comfortable and much less crowded than other local options. Discount day is Tuesday when shows are $5.75 all day long. I hope this nice little mall can get a much needed economic boost. read more

I am shocked that this mall is even in business seeing that it is so close to the larger Holyoke mall. It's one level with a movie theater and a Target. There is no food court. Yup its a mall with no food court. Weird! I was here on a Saturday afternoon and the place was empty. I would not go out of my way to shop here. read more

My adult son and I visited on a Sunday. We wanted to go to Target. My son wanted to see if Lens Crafters was open. We were wearing masks. Afterward, we were going over to Target. Instead of turning to go into Target, I suggested we go over by Sears "for old time's sake." Fine, until we got to the Pretzel store turned security desk. The security officer actually said "State your mission." I'm 64 years old and five feet tall and he thinks I'm on a mission? What did he think my "mission" was? I merely said we were reminiscing. My mom and sister and I would come here a lot in the 70's. I said we were leaving. He said mall walking was not allowed. He was nasty about the whole deal. He kept going on and on. If they don't want people in the public areas of the freakin mall, they should put up signs and cordon off areas, Instead they set loose overweight security guards to bully old ladies, who have come to the mall to spend money. Why is this place even open? So many empty storefronts in this mall has to be seen to be believed. The company who owns this mall is doing a major disservice to the town by keeping this mall open. It has only one anchor store. A Target store. Honestly, there's no need to come here given that there are Target stores everywhere. This place is a joke read more

What a sad place. Anchored by Macy's, Sears, and Target; according to the website, there are apparently over 55 stores. But a walk-down this 1-floor, miserable mall feels like there's so much less. Shopping for myself is impossible: clothes/shoes/anything... There are many private labels that I have never heard of, let alone buy from. For about the first 18 years of my life, this was my primary mall. Yes, it has no food court, though it has a Panera, a pizza joint, and a Ruby Tuesday's built into it. It has gone through a good deal of change. What were G. Fox and Steiger's became Filene's and an empty store, respectively, and then Macy's and Sears. Stores have come in and out, the CVS left, Tilt (the mini-arcade) left, while the Target came in late, and the movie theater is also relatively new (last decade +). It doesn't have to be too big, considering that there are much more expansive malls to its north (Holyoke) and south (Westfarms). But it has its kitsch factor. And the nostalgia. read more

I thought the Hampshire Mall was the most depressing mall in the area but I've been proven wrong. Holy sad setup Batman! Hubs and I wanted to take a stroll to kill some time so we thought we'd swing by here. Little did we know basically the only stores in this whole place were Target, Party City and GNC. Empty Storefront after empty storefront, it seemed never ending. I am going to keep an eye out in the news to see what happens to this place. ...WOW. Back when I'd come here in college, this place was a small yet excellent mall with anything I'd need. A recent trip back here yielded closed store fronts, bizarre businesses, and just a general sense of quiet depression all around. I could almost feel it in the air. The anchor stores (Macy's, Sears, Target) are still worth going to, but the rest of the mall is a sad, sad shadow of its former self. If you're in the area, I'd make the further drives to the Holyoke Mall or Westfarms. read more

I wouldn't be surprised to see a "going out of business" banner hanging out front! When you enter you, be careful, watch out for tumble weeds. What I'm attempting to say is this mall is on a slow descent to closing. Only a handful of national known stores. Tons of "home made" signed stores that seem to fly by night. It's sad. I grew up in the area and man has it become depressing to visit the mall! A lot of shops have closed and some are still empty. Others have been replaced with weird novelty stores that have coincidentally been closed when I have seen them. I think one of the stores is named "simply awesome" or something. I don't even know what they sell. There is another store that sells really old, really used books 1 for $3, 3 for $5 ... I was excited at first be I love reading, but literally couldn't find one book that had reviews on Amazon.com Now for the good. There are some decent stores here. Macy's, Express, Target, bed bath and body works. But they are all sparser with less inventory than larger stores elsewhere. There is also a decent beauty salon (fancy nails) and a movie theater. The overlying theme to this mall, to me, is just urban blight and depression. read more

There are a lot of things to like about the enfield square. It's not so big that you can't walk the whole thing. Also, there is a target, it just has horrible parking near the target. Everyone wants to park on that side, since it is close to the theaters. There are a few restaurants in the mall. There is a Sears at one end and Macy's at another. The Macy's is pretty small - so if your looking for something specific you may want to go somewhere else. I either park near Macy's or Sears. The parking is easier. The movies are run down but they are closer than other theater's. I'm still deciding if this is a great place to shop or not. The mall is near Home Depot and Costco, so you can do other errands while you are out. There are a few pet stores and Old Navy near the mall. Also, there is a Chick-Fil-A being built! Another favorite place to eat for me! read more

I love the little Enfield Mall. I hate the oversized malls at Manchester and Holyoke - UGH! Plus, they don't really have anything at the oversized malls that Enfield doesn't have! I did all my Christmas shopping at the Enfield Mall and skipped the larger malls all together. Guess if you like the big mall experience, this isn't for you, but I would rather stick with "less is more." read more

This is a pretty decent center . There's a Panera, which is always good, a toy store, Charlotte Russe, a train ride... A sweet area for your two year old to play in. With comfortable seats for the parents. My favorite thing about this center is the Target that is attached to it. I guess I never really thought there was much to this square until I went in there to checkout the theatre. I was pretty amazed that there was a Macy's hidden in there. Pretty decent selection of stores but not as much as the Holyoke mall, but it's called a center for a reason. I'm glad I found out that there was more to it then just the Target. I bet sales in the Center would increase if they advertised somewhere outside the center entrance to indicate the stores it holds inside. I'm no marketing expert, just saying yo! read more

Oh dear. This may be the saddest mall I've ever stepped foot in. I stopped into Target (attached to the mall) on a recent weekend and decided to see if there were any other stores worth checking out. I couldn't believe how many of the storefronts were empty and gated shut. Apart from a few retailers that peaked in the 90s (Bath & Body Works, Express, etc) along with a cinema, there was really nothing going on. Not a bad mall, but not the greatest. I like that it has a movie theater, Ruby Tuesday, Sears, and Target. It always has new temporary stores coming and going all the time proving that it must be a hard mall to survive in as a merchant. There are only three dining choices which are a Panera, Ruby Tuesday, and a small pizza joint. It doesn't have the gangs of thugs roaming around like the Eastfield and Holyoke Malls, making it a place where you don't mind leaving your car for a late movie. I like this mall, but sadly have no reason to frequent it often. read more

The mall stores inside were dead...about a handful of shoppers in there. On a Sunday...! The department stores were definitely a huge presence and certainly an impact on the smaller shops. Many different kiosks, but only 2 were open. The bigger spots inside the mall were empty with only 1 or 2 employees standing near the entrances of their shops perusing their cells. Lights off in many parts of the stores...I haven't been in a place that empty since the mall in the Hartford civic center was open. Not good at all I think. I'll try the movies next time, maybe it won't be crowded in there either. Better watching experience if it is. read more

The mainstays of this place are Target, Macy's, Panera, Victoria's Secret, Express and the Rave Cinemas movie theater. Enfield Square is much too small and empty to be called a mall but it's fulfilled all my basic shopping needs. I've never seen the place crowded, which I find to be an excellent thing especially when there are sales. I can find a lot of good deals here without having to bump elbows with anybody. Also, Rave Cinemas does a $5 Tuesday deal, come in any time on Tuesday and see a move for just 5 bucks. read more

Experienced the taste bud nirvana of my very first Orange Julius here. Wandered aimlessly as a teenager and drew sidewards glances from mall security here. Great mall! Of course my review is for the mall as it was circa 1987. Growing up in Ellington, this was the mall of my childhood. Back then, kids, there was no Buckland. (Or for that matter, Amazon). This is the saddest mall in Connecticut, even sadder than Meriden Square; all low-level chain stores and punky teenagers hanging out. All the decent and somewhat fashionable stores have left. Ten years ago, it was a decent smaller mall, but shopping there was still enjoyable. Today, shopping there is depressing. Enfield Square sounds like such an upscale name but really does not reflect the current condition of the mall. Not being from the area I visited for the first time today. First the positive traits. The single floor mall was very clean and was easy to navigate. Three large anchors, Sears, Target, and Macy's (comprising 2 store fronts) are located here (Unfortunately, for the mall and future shoppers, the Macy's is closing and is having a going out of business sale.) Eating options are on par or better than others malls this size consisting of a Ruby Tuesday, a nice large Panera, and a non chain pizza parlor which are located in the mall while other options are nearby. A Hallmark Card store ( which seem to be closing everywhere) and a low price book store were some nice options too. Finally, entering and exiting the lot was a breeze and parking was plentiful. Now the negatives. the lack of a food court may be an issue for others, through it was not for me. The exodus of former chain stores located was greatly noticed by me. Walking the mall I saw familiar looking store fronts of a former CVS, Champs shoes, and other familiar names which have been taken over by mom and pops stores. I applaud the new businesses but felt bad the owners did not have the capital to remodel the store decor of the previous tenants. The lack of store makeovers, along with a possibly dated tile floor in the mall itself constantly reminded me of of a mall which had seen better days. In closing, the Enfield Square has some good and bad traits. Unfortunately, I surmised the increasing competition from the surrounding newer big box shopping centers may be having an adverse affect on the mall. Local shoppers may still find this a convenient option but I would not a shopping destination. read more

I am so appalled. The only redeeming qualities of this mall have been the Cinemas and Target, but now, OHHHHHH LET ME TELL YOU NOW. IT'S ONLY TARGET. I am here to tell you my story. I was taking my daughters, 3 of them, all 16, to the movies. They really wanted to see Annabelle: Creation; the movie that been rustlin' everyone's leaves, but it is rated R. Now, I would do anything for my little lambs. I decided that I would buy them the movie tickets, implying that I consented on them seeing the movie, and walk them into the movie and then leave (because it's THEIR jam, not MY jam). First, the withering, CRUSTY, wrinkled cashier impolitely told me that I also had to buy a ticket in order to see the movie with my children. I bought the ticket, as any good mother would do, to get a to a total of $32 and some change. Then, we proceeded to buy some snackies (must keep them fed, you know?) and then went on to walk my little chicklets to their movie. As we were handing over the tickets to a VERY nice young lady (Brianna), a big boned, BUG EYED older woman (the "manager") looked me up and down. We proceeded to the theater, and I felt her eyes burning a hole into the back of my neck the ENTIRE TIME. I made sure they were settled in their seats, and then went to leave, where I again was met by her wretched look. Disturbed, I turn and went the restroom, used it, and hoped she would forget about me. I then walked out and noticed this woman was STILL watching me (not even doing her job), so I walked back into the theater and stood in there for a little bit. I made sure she wasn't looking when I walked out and took a hidden exit. THEN, when I am home, I receive a message that my daughters had been KICKED OUT! APPARENTLY, the prehistoric, DYING, woman had tracked down my girls and made them leave. HOW EMBARRASSING! They just wanted to see a SLIGHTLY SCARY movie! They obviously knew that they had my consent, they just wanted to STEAL my money and THEN kick them out without a refund. Horrific! Never go to this movie theater! Save your money! p.s. There aren't too many exciting stores in this mall, yet it is a nice place to shop if you live close-by and don't feel like driving to Manchester. There can be some good sales and several stores that come and go. I really will miss Hot Topic, even if I only went there about once a year. read more

Not a fan. Target is what holds this mall together. Clothing brands have since removed their stores as the location has become a place for the elderly to walk around without worry. There are a few stores that are nice but they are either pricy or just very useless material. The Asian store is nice There is a store next to is that is always mares to 50 percent off. That's a fix store if you need random stuff but nothing special. Personally this mall isn't for me and it's always dead. read more

This Mall was a nice 1 story mall, and I have shopped there many times. Now it has a fun house which is over priced and isnt bringing in regular customers. All of the restaurants are closed except Panara. A lot of kids hang in this mall and are just a nuisance without their parents. Now Kay's is leaving. read more

This is a terrible mall. I've lived in the area for 14 years and the mall gets progressively worse. The only thing keeping this mall alive is Target, Macy's (which just announced they are closing), Sears, and probably the movie theater. There are only about three decent stores in this mall the rest are random, bizarre, obscure stores that really have no purpose. I'd love to see them start over and rebuild and bring in more stores and make it a real mall but I don't see that happening any time soon. Anyone looking to shop here should go elsewhere. Buckland Hills isn't too far away and Holyoke mall is about 20 min away from Enfield. Better off going to one of those malls. read more

It has a Target, Panera, Macy's and a Sears, and a few other mid-tier national chain stores. If you need a Target run, go for it. It has a good location, right next to I-91, so I'm surprised that it seems to be sort of struggling. read more
