Just 5 miles away, a short Uber ride and you are transported to a decent establishment, clean and with a tourist friendly menu. Foie gras is decent, as good as any restaurant in Paris and wine is good too. The quality of my ribeye was not on par with something I would get in the USA for the same price, but you've got to be grateful for such nice establishment and the down to earth prices. Now I know where to go if I ever get stuck at Orly again!

But I was pleasantly surprised during my first trip. They were packed when we arrived for a weekday lunch but after a 10 minute wait a table opened up inside. The service was slow but delightfully friendly. My wife and I both ordered the duck and it was meaty and delicious. The kids both got brochette, (shish kabobs). They were a little rare, the standard way for French to serve beef, but were delicious. And the meals were so generously sized that only two of us were able to finish ours. My only complaint would be the toilets. The women's didn't have a toilet seat and the men's had a seat but it was cracked. That offered the user the rather interesting opportunity to sit down, open up the gap in the cracked seat and then shift position and close the gap, thereby pinching a spectacularly delicate, little patch of booty. So if you hear someone squeal and leap up off the seat in the men's room, now you know why.

I had a cafe macchiato with milk and a chocolate croissant because they were out of regular croissants. I'm not a huge fan of chocolate but it was really delicious as well as the coffee. They also had prepped meals that are prepared with recipes from renowned chefs. I wasn't hungry enough to try one but they looked pretty good with healthy ingredients! This is a good place to pass the time while waiting to check in for a flight.

Luckily the kitchen was still open so we went in for our last dinner before flying back to Northern California tomorrow. So thankful that we made a right choice to come here. The manager does not speak much English but with google translate we managed to understand the menu a bit. They just started a new menu tonight for the weekend to come. Ordered a appetizers of Spanish cured meat , scallops with amazing yellow sauce , main dish my husband ordered a aged steak with yummy green purée sauce made from French veggies in a black plate and I ordered a roasted octopus with turnips , pickled red onion with black sesame purée sauce on a white plate. Pairs with a glass of light oaky French red wine. The presentation was just heaven to the eyes and the taste was just out of this world! I am surprise no one give this restaurant a recent review. Seems to be that every night, no matter which night, this place is PACKED. Make sure if you plan to go that you are fine with waiting 30min-45min. Food was fantastic, had a great selection of Belgian beers to choose from, which I'm a huge fan of. Didn't try and of the cocktails. I will say service was very slow, even considering the fact they were busy. Overall, pretty good experience, not too terribly expensive. English menus readily available and servers all speak English (this is great cause I was a tourist who speaks little French )
