    This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had…read more I paid for a protection plan, scheduled service twice, and no one showed up either time. No call. No explanation. Nothing. This service company Assurance keeps assigning is almost impossible to reach, and when you finally do, they act like your time doesn't matter. What's worse is that Assurance knows this--because I complained after the first missed appointment--and still reassigned the same unreliable company again. I even contacted Home Depot, where I bought the appliance, and was told I had to keep dealing with Assurance since that's the insurance I paid for. So basically, I paid for coverage and got stuck in a loop of missed appointments and finger-pointing. I read one review stating that it is not this company's fault when they do not show up because one as a customer has to call them after being assigned by Asurion. This review explains that the procedure is that us as customer have to call the company once Asurion has assigned our claim/repair to them because they are not informed about it by Asurion. Well, both times we did just that, as soon as I our case was assigned to them, I called them and they confirmed the appointment and stated that the date of the service, they will call with a more accurate time slot. Both times we made arrangements so either my wife or me would be here waiting because we did not want our daughter or my mother-in-law or my brother-in-law handling this. We kept calling this company to inquire what happened with the service appointment, but they were either impossible to reach or rude and less than helpful when reached. Talking about this experience with my sister, we found out that she had the same bad experience of no show and rude answering from the staff. Reading all these reviews I can see that this is a pattern with them, and following the steps that the one favorable review I read here was not the solution. I wonder if this is part of the reason Home Depot has Allstate now instead of Asurion. It is a shame that one gets no service after paying a 5-year insurance. Bottom line: I paid for insurance and received zero service; we contacted the three parties related to this claim, the vendor, the insurance, the service provider assigned to our case, and we were trapped in a loop of non-compliance and finger pointing. I have lost my confidence in Home Depot, for they keep this going, and in Asurion for they keep assigning the same provider. I would be looking at other stores to do my purchases. Save yourself the frustration.

Then they close out your ticket with Asurion when they never even called you back! Was trying to get my TV repaired with the Asurion insurance through BJ's what a joke! Now I have to start over again with a new claim and I made sure I would not get this company again!     Called to replace an existing over stove microwave as we are updating our appliance set. Upon…read morearrival, the tech quickly removed the old microwave without doing a single measurement or even looking at the new one, still packed away in the garage. After removing the old unit, he asked why I was replacing to which I pointed at the new fridge of a different brand/color and said it works fine as we are just updating all appliances to match the new fridge. Then I pointed to the new gas range sitting next to its old counterpart that is scheduled next to be installed. Now, he goes out to the garage and is moving fast to finish the job quickly. So fast he takes everything out and now does his first measurement. Houston, we have a problem. He stated the cabinet is too low and he starts explaining what needs to be done. He shows me the tape measure from the outside of the kitchen cabinet where the microwave is explaining how it's too low. I keep asking him if he can help and he kept going on and on. Finally I stopped him and demanded a straight answer to which he said no he couldn't install it. Then, he started cleaning up and began to walk out of my house with my old microwave. I stopped him halfway out the door and demanded he put it back so I have a working microwave tonight. He replied saying it was a dead unit. Say what? So he did reinstall my old microwave and now I'm out $75 because he demanded money to reinstall or he was leaving it right there in the middle of kitchen floor. I don't appreciate being blackmailed into paying $75 to reinstall a microwave he should not have removed in the first place. I would have gladly paid $75 as a service call, but his failure to measure anything and demand for money to fix his oversight was a grave mistake. He called me back after this review was initially posted offering more excuses and calling it a diagnostic fee. If that were the case, it would have been $70 as the upfront email stated. He then offered a partial or full refund if I agreed to retract this review. I told him to keep his money. Their policy "No Job Too Small Or Big - 100% Satisfaction Guarantee" clearly falls short as they told me my job is too big and they won't refund my money unless I censor my free speech. I get unforeseen things happen, however ignoring the customer and details of a job, then attempting to cover it up is completely unacceptable. James is unethical and not someone I would ever recommend doing business with again.

In the very first message, I was told that they price match - but found out that's a lie. I provided custom plasma install with a lower quote from another company and custom plasma install's response was first "we can fix his work." And then when I said, I'm confused (because he didn't answer my question about price matching that) his response was "[competitor] is wrong on his pricing and must be desperate for work." A competitor quote was too low so they resorted to insulting the competitor. I do not want someone like that in my home.

    There are so many well-reviewed TV installers in the Bay Area -- I would strongly recommend…read moreavoiding Paul and this company. Based on my experience, they don't come across as straight shooters or particularly trustworthy. Their rates are also 2 to 2.5 times higher than the next 10 top results on Yelp. Yelp should probably move them lower in their results given how few reviews they received in recent years. When I asked about the price difference, I was told the Frame TV is difficult to install and that they include a "lifetime warranty." The quotes I received from the other installers were all specifically for the frame TV. Reading other reviews on Yelp, it didn't seem like the lifetime warranty carried very much weight with them (Paul and Cary). In the end, the experience felt more like a bait-and-switch than a professional engagement. Maybe the quality of the work would have been fine -- but with so many reputable, fairly priced alternatives in the area, I'd strongly recommend going with someone else. Don't waste your time coordinating with Paul or Cary. I ultimately lost my deposit and could not even report them to the Better Business Bureau because they don't seem to exist outside of Yelp and Nextdoor.
