The staff are really nice and friendly, and the insurance is well priced for students. I had an accident and it was clear who was to blame, but they still took amost year to sort it out. read more

Now I expected a small amount and then a refund as with other insurance companies fees of about £22.99 not 55.99. I feel totally ripped off. It took over an hour online to cancel my policy due to a website malfunction, Call taker was dealing with multiple callers at one time. Beware.

I cancelled a motor insurance policy with them with 6 months still to run and they offered no refund at all. I would ahve been happy to pay a reasonable admin fee. When our daughter…read morewas born we opened an account for her at the Alliance and Leicester to put all the money that she had received into while we investigated the options for savings. The A & L account wasn't bad but after thorough searching of all the companies with local branches the nationwide offered the best options for savings for children. I was also please because I firmly believe in the proper 'mutual' building society ethos. When we did a review of our finances my wife decided that she would also do her main banking with the nationwide. This is based on our experiences of this branch. The services offered are excellent and very competitive and the staff are lovely - knowledgeable and helpful. The only downside is that it is so popular, on a saturday you can be queuing out of the door!

Bettani was not only super friendly but also quick, efficient, and knew exactly what they were doing (which, let's be honest, is not always a given these days!). Fortunately an excellent person at the Grimsby branch sorted the problem out quickly and with the minimum of fuss. The other staff members I saw at the Grimsby branch were also friendly and from what I observed were doing splendid work helping customers. The staff at the Grimsby branch are a credit to the Bank and I hope that their work is appreciated .

It is a corner unit and is pretty small but they make good use of the little space available. The windows display plenty of information about the services they offer and there are some very good deals on - as always expected from an organisation that isn't pandering to the shareholders. Inside is well laid out and the staff are really nice and helpful. They are always welcoming and will engage in a little chat while dealing with you. If you need any assistance or information regarding products on offer there is always someone available that can help. The products they do have are far superior to those offered by the majority of the banks. Highly recommended.

Only recently opened at the end of 2008 it is located in the old Next town centre store in Queen Victoria square opposite Hull City Hall. This branch as superseeded the one originally located at 32 Paragon Square and has a light and airy feel to it, unlike how dingy the old branch was. In side the branch there is a large customer services counter and a addtional two counters for premire customers and forgein exchange. There is two account manager machines, one self services cash dispenser and two paying in\deposit machines. There is also another two self service machines outside down Paragon Street. More friendly branch and is more accessible to parents and disabled customers - where as the Paragon street branch was difficult to manover round.

They decorate and get into the spirit at Halloween and Christmas. It is a Rock pub but mainly in the evening. In the daytime it gets an eclectic mix of shoppers of all ages, being in the town centre, and older people. In the evening it changes and the music really is too loud to hold much of a conversation. Mainly heavy rock and metal. There are usually a bunch of middle aged rockers, sat at the bar, but they are a friendly bunch as are the stuff. Tues night is the night to go as it is Student Night and £1 a pintthe best thing is you don't have to be a student to get the prices. Always queues for the ladies which are entered through victorian glass window style doors. You can have a good chat in the queue as it seems quieter there. On other nights the beer is still reasonably priced.
