Beware expensive uncaring one call cost a fortune keep you on line for hours One Call Insurance. Very poor online insurance company, difficult to update policys when change of reg plate due to buying new car got charged £5 admin rubbish considering I did all the work on line, most companys charged zero as was my wifes experianced, the sting came when I got a quote on my new car for the remaining 4 months I was quoted £170 so decided to get insurance elsewhere and checked cancelation cost which was an unbvelieveable fee of £55.99 what a rip off , I was told its in the terms and agreements when you take out insurance. Now I expected a small amount and then a refund as with other insurance companies fees of about £22.99 not 55.99. I feel totally ripped off. It took over an hour online to cancel my policy due to a website malfunction, Call taker was dealing with multiple callers at one time. Beware. read more

Very poor experience. They no longer want to speak to you on the phone and keep directing you towards 'chat'. I cancelled a motor insurance policy with them with 6 months still to run and they offered no refund at all. I would ahve been happy to pay a reasonable admin fee. Clearly they are just another greedy insurance company! Avoid! read more

The worst car insurance company that I have ever had to deal with. It is almost impossible to contact the company. The only way is via the 'live portal' on your smartphone app. I even wrote to the CEO to complain. I scrapped my car and wanted to cancel my insurance policy. When I finally managed to chat with someone via the app, I was told that I would receive a refund of £5 (five whole pounds), even though my policy still had 6 months left to run.... Be warned..... read more

Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!!! I took out insurance with this company. As part of my insurance, I am entitled to a courtesy car if my car can't be driven after a (non fault) accident. They collected my car 2 days ago and still haven't provided any replacement vehicle. They are now saying that they first need to assess the car before they can provide a replacement vehicle but can't say when they are going to do that and seem to be working on an open ended timescale. They also say that it is not them that provide the courtesy car but rather the repair centre THEY choose. I have explained to them that I could have gotten the AA to recover my car under my membership and got a repair centre of my choice along with a courtesy car within a couple of hours. And they are now telling me that if I want my car back to deal with the repair myself, I will need to pay transport and storage costs! I have no idea where my car is, they had it taken away before I had finished on the phone with them. All communication is via an internet chat room. They don't have a telephone number or anyone you can talk to. I don't have a clue what is happening with my car. I have submitted an official complaint and been told someone should contact me within 3 days. I have now had to go and rent a car for my family. Please, please, please, do yourself a favour and avoid this company! I'm going to citizens advice and trading standards in the morning. , unfortunately, There was no option on this site to give less than 1 star! read more

I never sign up for auto renewal yet these people auto renewed without notifying me of intent to do so after I had renewed with another company for one third of the price that one call were charging, What a fight to get my money back, I had to prove to them that I had already renewed and contacting them is part of the scam, they make that very hard to do SCAMMERS, STAY CLEAR OF THEM read more

Abysmal. No phone number. No compassion. No honesty. No duty of care. They immediately pawn customers with a claim to One Call Claims, a sister company, and a claims handler and unprotected by the financial ombudsman. Every customer is seen only as a link to get more business and more money. Appalling. How this firm "wins" industry awards is very suspicious. Customer service and care is horrific. I wish there was a way to warn prospective customers of the pitfalls of taking a policy with this shambles of a company. Beware and be warned. read more

Had a puncture. Said I wasn't covered on their GOLD breakdown cover for someone to come. Wouldn't take me to garage as I needed to have garage agree to accept car and it was closed. Suggested I phone garage in the morning. Seems I'm only covered 9 to 5! So many exclusions I don't seem covered for anything. Worried I'll have an accident before this insurance runs out. read more

AVOID Onecall at all cost. A DISHONEST COMPANY I applied through a comparison site and answered all questions truthfully. OneCalls quote came back (not the cheapest) so I accepted it. 2 hours later I received an email stating that I had been refused Insurance NO REASON WAS GIVEN. I contacted them and they refused to give me the reason. Because OneCall Insurance refused me Insurance I now have to declare it on future applications. I went to another 2 Insurance provider who also refused me Insurance because although they could find no reason to not insure me because OneCall had they decided not to insure me because Onecall would not give me the reason why. I started the complaints process 12 days later I received an email stating 1) that my address did not validate when I had already told them I was staying at my parents address - Why could they not have told me this? 2) I had been refused insurance before but they did not know which company has refused me so they couldnt tell me who it was. I HAVE NEVER BEEN REFUSED INSURANCE BEFORE AND THIS IS A BLATANT LIE. I have requested an application for a FOI Request and I am in contact with the Ombudsman. I have now found an Insurance provider. read more

NEVER EVER USE ONE CALL You simply cannot contact OneCall. Their customer portal will not recognise customer login, will not work in any way. The Live Chat only works via login. Their phone number goes unanswered. If anyone at OneCall ever reads this you are clearly making it as hard as possible to cancel a policy at renewal despite charging c.33% more than previous year and the same above any new quote. We are left with no option but to cancel payment and await OneCall's moaning response. No e-mail available no phones answered, livechat non-functional - a company in hiding!!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS INSURER. Can't phone, can't email. They operate only on Text Chat. I am a customer of theirs and had the misfortune of claiming on my insurance policy...1 year later i may need to appear in court because they are incompetent. This is a true story. I've been using One Call Insurance for years and have never had a problem until now. I got my usual renewal notice in April saying the charge would be £122.90, the same as in the previous year. Fine, I let it auto-renew. Today I looked at my credit card statement and see they billed me £437.58 instead of the £122.90 detailed on the renewal letter. So I tried to reach One Call by telephone. IMPOSSIBLE! Why are they called One Call when you can't even get one phone call through on the phone? Their useless website insists I have to use their web portal to chat. OK, so I go there and log in. THE CHAT DOESN'T WORK! Finally, I phoned claims since that's the only phone number I could find that works. The rude fella there told me he couldn't speak to me about billing so I asked for a phone number for billing. He gave me a phone number which clicks off (hangs up) as soon as you ring it. I was completely at my wit's end with this useless organisation. I finally found a (well-hidden) number and a human after an hour and a half of searching everywhere, and after explaining myself until I was blue in the face, I was told that in April they had accidentally sent me the prior year's renewal letter (for £122.90) instead of this year's renewal letter (for £437.58). I said, "That's an insane increase!" He said the best they could do was £329. That's still a 167% increase over last year. And why didn't they charge me "the best they could do" of £329 when they charged my credit card on file instead of £437.58? Shouldn't a broker working for me always get me the best price available? After all, I'm the one paying their fee! It's like dealing with Virgin Media - customer service hell. So I took a chance and cancelled useless One Call Insurance and used CompareTheMarket.com to find a better option and found the same coverage for £97.43 a year from a broker called Homeprotect.co.uk with AXA as the actual underwriter. So thank you for screwing up so massively, One Call. Thanks to your screw-up, I found someone massively less expensive to provide better cover from a well-known insurer (AXA) instead of the bucket shop underwriter One Call tried to sign me up with. If I were you, I wouldn't do business with One Call - you will pull your hair out trying to get any kind of help or even a human on the phone, and they won't give you their best rate without haggling. Even then it will be much higher than you can get elsewhere. Who needs that? No call to One Call is the best call. 0/5 stars. read more

I would not recommend this company at all. I had to change my house insurance mid policy due to moving house. They gave me the option of either increasing the cost of the policy considerably or paying a ridiculously high cancellation fee. I had no alternative but to continue with the policy but told them not to renew the policy when the year was up. They didn't cancel it and then charged me another £133 to cancel a policy I had not agreed to. They are absolutely ruthless and an embarrassment to their profession. I had a 'no fault incident' involving my car on 26th September. I immediately contacted OneCall Insurance inc. my dash cam footage. They referred me to Davies-Group and I have been told nothing! Trying to contact One Call is hopeless, Option 3 goes dead. The 'chat' is equally useless. Davies-Group no better. I looked into my policy today and discovered my 'claims progress' is closed and was closed on 28th Septembed 2022 by One Call. But no one informed me of this, nor have I had any financial payment. Don't even know if my car is a write off or not. PLEASE take my advice and avoid One Call Car Insurance. Unfortunately I'm going to have to get our Solicitor to fight this for me. Linda read more

Online Chat with JD7 was excellent. He was really helpful and helped to clarify my queries for first time insurance for my 18 year old. The policy is expensive but cheaper than confused .com quotes and the cheapest I could find fully comp without a black box. Documents would not open but the online chat was patient and finally found a way to send me the information. As I have only just organised this policy and note others appear to have had issue with this company I intend to leave further feedback in the future, however, I can not fault the online support. Further to my previous comments. I did give 4 stars originally and thought about 5. I am now giving one star after trying to pay online for over 1 hour. The system would not accept 3 different card details. The online chat was trying to help but I was not comfortable being asked for a screenshot with all the card details. It was not sent. After being advised to refresh the page and told the details would not be lost, I refreshed and all details were lost and the chat was abruptly ended. I tried to restart the chat and could not as the office hours were changed from 8pm to 5,30pm while I was online! When I went in to retrieve the quote it was not longer valid despite my attempting to purchase it for over 1 hour! Very, Very unimpressed with this companies online system. read more

I was quoted £244 to insure my motor car which I accepted and paid in full, there was an additional charge of £27.74 which I was unaware of. The insurance certificate was not made available until nine days after payment. I did make an error in stating that my no claims were nine years when in fact it was eight. I was then charged an extra £92.33 bringing the cost of my policy to £366. I enquired on the chat service about cancelling the policy and was told that it would cost £85 to cancel. There was a cancellation fee of £49.99 plus a fee of 35.04 for time insured, nine days. I would not recommend One Call to anyone as the eventual costs can become much higher than the original quote, there is no telephone service and the chat line can cut you off. In all, the service provided by One Call is expensive and dreadful. read more

As a result of questing the information used to calculate my motor insurance premium for the year commencing 01/02/2020. I am having protracted bullyboy tactics inflicted upon me and un-justied financial penalties imposed upon me, by onecall insurance of Doncaster. Here is my latest correspondence to onecall sent 03/02/2020 I confim receipt of you "discrepancy note" advising that you seek to un-ilaterally impose a further £226.59 charges on to my 01/02/2020 motor insurance renewal. I note that you have sent the notification form a no-reply address and that you have failed to make any effort to; a) explain you reasoning for the extra £226.59 ransom demand. b) acknowledge, let alone address any of the ten point I raised with you in my 31/01/2020 email. In light of the above I have chosen to copy the financial-ombudsman complaints department in on this and all future correspondence. For the avoidance of doubt: - I reject your latest demand for a further £226.59 premiums for insurance cover commencing 01/02/2020. - Had onecall not failed in keeping my claims history HONEST & UP TO DATE (including the incident of 04/10/2020), I would have been able to take advantage of LIKE FOR LIKE QUOTES (on comparethemarket.co.uk) commencing from as little as £350.38. - As things stand your companies antics have racked up a running total of £673.53 + £226.59 = £900.12 for cover that is available on the open market for £350.38. - I will therefore be seeking a refund of £549.74. This is in addition to the £350 I am owed as a result of onecall incorrectly deducting £350 from my settlement arising from Mr N. F. driving into the back of my truck while I was parked at a red traffic light. - I re-request that you address all of the ten points set out in my email of 31/01/2020. - I have invested more than 20 hours, thus far, in correspondence directly relating to these matters. I note, from a review of consumer review websites, that I am far from being alone in suffering this overt rapacious conduct from onecall. PLEASE RESPOND TO ALL POINT, POINT BY POINT, SET OUT IN MY EMAIL OF 31/01/2020 BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS 07/02/2020. I will be seeking the recover of my funds by en-listing the assistance of: Doncaster Trading Standards Financial Conduct Authority Financial Ombudsman Doncaster Member of Parliament Cheadle Hulme Member of Parliament BBC Radio 4 Money Box Serious Fraud Office uk On-line forum and consumer help group Doncaster Chamber Of Commerce Additions to Mr Radford's Wiki-pedia profile read more

AVOID ONE CALL DIRECT INSURANCE OR YOU WILL LOSE MONEY I found Onecalldirect on a Moneysupermarket search, their quote was the cheapest so i took it, thank GOD i never had to make a claim, i thought it strange that they needed a copy of my driving licence and the threat if i did not send it my policy would be cancelled, i sent my licence copy and everything was ok, that is until renewal time came around, my normal thing is to search for the cheapest insurance and ask my existing insure to match it.The problem with one call direct i could not get through to talk to anybody, and i did not receive a renewal in the post, it came by email but without a renewal price,so i phoned the renewal number and again i could not get through,so i informed them by email i did not wish to renew the policy.they did not reply, and then a couple of days later they renewed my policy by taking hundreds of pounds from my credit card, they even sent me an email to thank me for renewing with them, and then another email to say they could not accept my cancellation by email, they said i had to phone their renewal number, and that it was part of their terms and conditions, even though i had phoned numerous times and could not get a reply. On Monday morning i spent 40 minutes trying to get through to them, so i emailed them and gave them a number to contact me they did not- so today Tuesday i finally got through, and guess what they are charging me a cancellation fee and fees for days the policy has been in use, they are nothing more than legalised crooks. read more

I am gutted I have to even give them 1 star. Every encounter I have had with them over the first 7 months of my policy has been horrendous. When my car was stolen a few weeks into my policy they were awful, because they are not an actual insurance company (first I knew about it) they didn't even have the authority to communicate with the police! Said instead they needed to employ a private investigation company to contact local businesses to check their CCTV cameras to check I had actually driven the car to work that morning! My colleague, whose car got stolen in the same event, got her compensation payment within 3 weeks, during which time she was provided with a courtesy car ( she was with Sheila's Wheels), it took One Call over 8 weeks during which time I had no car to get to work! They were totally unsympathetic, just didn't care, as not being an actual insurance company they couldn't deal with the situation in a professional way. They ended up paying literally thousands under the market value of the car. You have to pay extra for any minor change on the policy so although they are cheap you can end up paying a lot more in the end. When I got a speeding ticket they charged me £175 for it and then later told me that the speeding ticket invalidated my policy, which meant my policy was now void 5 months before then renewal date, but refused to refund the money they had made me pay for an obsolete policy! Totally outraged, they should not be allowed to operate. DO NOT TAKE UP A POLICY WITH THEM! read more

Well to say this company are rubbish would be too polite! I have had nothing but problems with them....when i set it up all was fine, i did it over the phone and paid for fully comp as it worked out cheaper than third party. The person i spoke to told me it was best to have that due to the free breakdown cover it came with. So i signed up, then one day i broke down, i called them to be told that to get any breakdown service to me it would cost me £80! Never mentioned over the phone! Then i moved home so i called them to tell them....and to change my address cost me another £55! Considering its a matter of changing details on the computer i found it disgusting! Then i sold my car and the fun really began! I went online to cancel my insurance as i was told to OVER THE PHONE....a few days later i got an email telling me it could not be cancelled as i recieved my certificate by post......but i have never recieved anything through the post from them apart from a tax disc holder that cost me to collect it from the post office as no stamp was put on the envelope! I called them........9 times and everytime i was cut off by the operator! On the 10th time i eventually spoke to someone who managed to cancel the insurance...finally success........until i recieved a letter a few days later to say i would have to pay 25% of my premium for cancelling! I think from start to finish this company is a sham and i certainly would not recommend them to anyone! read more

These bozos pretend to give you free breakdown cover 'worth £39' to ensnare your custom but then you find you have to pay £20 every time you use it and you can only use it twice. Of course you think hey I know I'll upgrade to their 'gold' breakdown cover that is £59 but then find you have to pay £39 for that, rather than the £20 difference between the two levels of cover, so 2 months into my policy I've paid nearly £80 for breakdown cover, only to be gleefully told by the helpline guy that I can't use it for 14 days!!!! What??? This is taking the p1ss. Even the AA let you use the service 24 hours after purchase, not make you wait 2 weeks. So I've now paid for something I can't even use. Great. Note to one call insurance - if this is your idea as a business model for how to get repeat business you've failed miserably. Come renewal time I'm gone, even if you're still the cheapest. Also the website is pretty poor too. Repeated failed attempts to register so I can see my documents on some mystical portal, every time it says 'an error occurred', very helpful. And it says 'Registration is simple, all you need is your policy number' so you click Register and it asks you for everything EXCEPT your policy number! Comical. Anyway, steer clear, you've been warned. I'm just praying I never have to make a claim. Good luck if you're already with these numptys. read more

Avoid this company at all costs. They are a complete rip- off. I dread to think if I have to make a claim with this shower. This is legalised bloody theft. I had to provide details of driving licences which |I have never had to do before, why. They then farted out about sending me letters about my previous no claims bonus and threatened to cancel my insurance and then charge me for the privlige. I had a no fault accident claim 3 years ago, I gave details and they have now increased my premium by £88 plus their usual £55 bloody rip off admin fee. Legalised bloody theft. They took this from my bank account without even consulting me, cheeky gits. Beware it does not pay to get the cheapest because this shower are devious give you a cheap quote then wham look for ways to charge their thieving admin fee. I am going to write to the insurance ombudsman, this cannot be allowed to continue. I had one accident claim in 42years of driving, not my faullt. Police officer for 30 years and have never ever come across such a shambolic company in my life. Very disappointing. I called for the third time to request that my policy be emailed to me as I wanted to check that the details were correct. I am very aware that it is my responsibility to ensure all names are spelt correctly and dates of birth etc are correct. If anything on the policy is incorrect then in the event of a claim the company can wriggle out of paying up. I spoke to Jade who tried to sell my extra Legal Protection rather than listen to my complaint regarding not having a policy to check. After I hung up the email arrived and - you've guessed it - my surname and my husnband's surname was spelt incorrectly. I assume that she must have realised this when on the phone as she could not find a policy for me at my address. I then had to call back to change the policy. The next person was more helpful and did amend the spelling and send a correctly spelt document to me. He also tried to sell me breakdown cover when I was telling him that I was concerned I would not be covered due to the spelling mistake. He assured me I would but if I reversed into a Porsche do you think they would pay out? Or perhaps say that it is my responsibility to check the policy that they failed to email me. Even if this company is considerably cheaper at next renewal I will not use them again. read more

I never write reviews like this but I've had such a bad experience with one call that I want to warn anyone thinking of using them to think long and hard! I found them on moneysupermarket.com and decided to swap from kwikfit insurance as they were around £5 a month cheaper. What a big mistake. I've had hassle from the beginning 7 months ago and cant wait for the 12 months to be up so I can leave them. They charge extortionate admin fees from everything from moving home, being out of work (for 1 week!) adding someone else to the policy. In the end it has ended up costing me more than twice as much as last years premium with kwik fit and im at the end of my tether with them. Today I've had a letter saying they have not received my NCB proof. Well I know for a fact that they have as I uploaded it onto their online system as requested 7 months ago. After a 20 min phonecall I've finally got it sorted out, no apology from them just an extra cost on my phonebill. Customer service does not exist in this company, I've seen some bad customer service over the years but this beats the rest hands down. read more

This company are the pits..............I was going to go with these as they were the cheapeat on comparrison......I got through after 20 mins and was delt with by someone called India.......She went through everything, Or well so i thought i was sent my documents via email. I thought it was strange they asked for photo copies of my driving licences, but went a head and faxed them.to em..........3 days later i get a call asking for them, again they said they had not received them, I was now getting suspicious.......This was one day before my policy was due to begin...........Anyway i sent them again...2 days later i received a recorded delivery from them saying my policy had been canceled beause i give false information.... So i was basically driving around uninsured and unaware.. I blame the person who delt with it, they refused to refund me any money, but were quick enough taking it......I would advise anyone NOt to use this company......I have also read ohers peoples reviews on different web sites who have had the same problems as me. read more

I spoke to a very polite and understanding gentleman by the name of Steven (SH4) and I was ready to cancel my car insurance after only a week due to a previous conversation that I had with another member of staff regarding a general enquiry. The first member of staff that I spoke to gave me incorrect information, was not polite or caring at all. After having a look on the internet for a better deal, I phoned One Call again and I was going to cancel the policy but straight from the beginning of my conversation with SH4 my concerns were explained clearly and all matters were resolved within 3 minutes. After speaking to SH4 I am more confident than ever that I made the correct choice in swapping the car insurance over from my previous insurer of 3 years and coming over to One Call. Steven, I would like to say thank you, it has been a pleasure talking to you today and I would gladly accept anybody with your understanding of the customers needs, really polite manner and professionalism within my organisation. Well done. Neil. read more

I really wish that I had seen this site before taking out my insurance with One Call. I have now cancelled my policy as the renewal was extortionate. Or at least I thought I had cancelled, One call have today informed me that my cancellation letter has gone missing for the 3rd time. I paid over £80 to get out of this policy and yet they have taken two payments from my bank account without my knowledge. I was certain that I had cancelled the direct debit but they informed me that they just charge payments to the debit card that you use for your initial payment. I am so angry, this is basically theft but One Call said its their standard practise. I have had to waste a whole afternoon trying to sort this out. I am going to send another cancellation letter tomorrow by registered/recorded delivery, but I am also writing to the FSA. These people are nothing but crooks, please say well clear and get your insurance from a reputable company. It might cost you an extra fiver a month but it is worth every single penny. read more

Firstly the name of this company, one call, is false advertising, I dread to think of the phone bills I've racked up listening to the blurb," we are experiencing very high call rates" etc. I should imagine most of the calls are like mine, trying desperately to communicate with someone. I took out insurance for my car with 1 call, then 5 days later changed my car and decided to cancel and go with another company, I eventually spoke to someone who assured me a cancellation form would be sent out that day, this was over a week ago and I still have not received the form. I have just been trying to get through on the phone for nearly 35 minutes I have tried the website, useless, and have come to the conclusion that this is the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with and that the only compensation is I will never have to make a claim through them. If they ever read their reviews I can categorically say that one star would be one too many. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE. I wouldn't even rate one star for these thieves. I have been with One Call for 2 years - I always paid for legal cover and when it comes to a slight bump at 1mph in stationary traffic, One Call Insurers (Commercial Legal) automatically paid the third party nearly £5000 in damages and recorded an at fault claim on my policy. There was no damage to either vehicle and no injury to either party. Commercial Legal informed me they paid the third party damages because it was easier than a court appearance. Where was my say??? I have this week cancelled my policy with One Call. Even if they offered the lowest price rate on comparison sites I will still go for the higher priced companies. I want good service for my money. BEWARE - THIS IS WHY YOU PAY EXTORTIONATE RATES IN MOTOR INSURANCE. I pray to see One Call go into liquidation - good riddance to bad service. James H. from Wigan, Lancashire. Don't touch this company. I took out home insurance mid August They sent no confirmation that I had taken a policy out with them so presuming it had not gone through I took out one with another company,I then got a confirmation the day the policy was due to start, 5th September . I immediatly called them to cancel but they slapped a massive cancellation fee on me for a policy I did not know existed and which in any case I cancelled the same day as it was taken out It's a scam. I wrote a letter of complaint but they have not even responded and continued to take the money. Beware of these thieves, also it is almost impossible to speak to anyone and when you do they just pass you around from one person to the next. I asked to speak to a manager, they kept me waiting for 30mins before the same advisor came back to me and said to put it in writing. Terrible experience throughout and I have lost £60.00 for no service whatsoever read more

MY SON SAID IF THERE REALLY IS A PROBLEM WITH ONECALL SOMEONE SHOULD TWITTER IT AND ALL WILL BECOME CLEAR ? No idea what I just wrote :0 but here is my experience. tried to Insure with them, but after inputting card details was asked to provide proof on no claims and my husbands driving license number, these are both at our spanish home so we left the page and tried to ring them the next day, unable to get through all day, had to insure with another company, they took the £309.05 from our card and when we asked for it back demanded proof of insurance with the other company which was sent 3 times and lost 3 times, we were told in the end we would receive a back dated refund, after six weeks phoning and emailing and contacting the ombudsman have been told if we dont want to wait any longer for the underwriters to respond they can refund just £228 of the £309 DO NOT PUT YOURSELVES THROUGH THIS ONECALL .FIFTY CALLS SO FAR read more

Imagine when you car seems to be on its last legs. Another year out the car would of been great, but i'm a believer that some things happen for a reason. So after some looking around, and weighing up all my options, should I take finance or a loan, spend a little more for something bigger or newer. I made my choice, there are fewer more exciting things than getting a new car. its something to look forward too, to be proud of your new car. so you can imagine my excitement, when I log into my insurance portal to update my details... and then be told I need to pay an additional insurance premium, in addition to an admin fee, to change my vehicle details, to a newer model of the same car. A £25 admin fee and £55 insurance premium. Forgot buying local like me, go to the big companies with there cheaper prices. And the rate of that, my insurance would have doubled for the year too. and you can't do nothing about it! read more

Do not use this company!! I took our a car insurance policy we'd 1 August 2011 and a few weeks ago received a letter from them to say they had been unable to verify my no claims with my previous insurance provider. I had already provided them with the renewal quote from my insurance broker which clearly stated the no claims period as well as the name of the insurer and previous policy number. so basically it took them 6 months to advise me although they had the information all the time. A few days ago I received a Cancellation Notice saying the policy would be cancelled in 7 days if I didn't provide the required information. Despite a phone call (took me ages to get through) and numerous e mails no one has had he courtesy to get back to me so I will have to take out alternative insurance. deal with this company at your peril. This is a classic example that cheap is not always best. read more

BE WARNED i found OneCall insurance on" Go Compare" their quote was great I went for it. I sent all my details, and all the proof they asked for. After 3 months Onecall wrote to tell me they had noted there had been an overlap on my old policy. Yea well, when I got rid of my old car it still had fourteen days insurance left on it! So when I picked up my new car and took out insurance on it. I was already in line for the £55 penalty they demanded in the next 7 days , pity they couldn't have noticed it when I gave them my old policy details. Now I have moved, and I phoned to give them my new address, £55 admin fee. LOOK OUT I have now paid an extra £110 on my policy in only ten months. They told me when I complained that I should have read the Terms & Conditions. BEWARE it is all hidden in there- what a lousy company. read more

Must admit waited 10 days for documents via email and decided to call, waited on phone for 15mins and started to have doubts about the what i had let myself in for and then Kate Sneddon answered the phone... she apologised for the mixup and produced and emailed me all the documentation straight away and insisted on staying on the phone until I had received and checked them. She then pointed out the paragraphs that were requesting proof of my no claims and license and then offered to attach these to my account herself if I cared to email them to her directly. Kate also suggested I contact her directly if I have any further issues or concerns. I know some people seem to have had negative experiences but I can honestly say thats the best Insurance Service I have used far better than the AA... read more
