However, upon arrival I presented my dental insurance "explanation of benefits" and previous receipts as there appeared to be a discrepancy, and dental offices always seem to estimate the customer payment portion when services are rendered. When I presented my question to the front desk attendant she immediately said the person that handles "that" is not here. But, she went on to increase the tone of her voice while attempting to explain the way billing works. I asked her not to raise her voice at me as I simply asked a question. (I was sure to be respectful in my tone and volume as I, too, work in the medical field and understand customers receive varying receipts and EOB's. Also, other customers were in the waiting area and could hear everything.) I simply had a question about my portion of the payment. Another employee standing to the right of the desk attendant heard this exchange and rolled her eyes. So, my only concern is for front area staff to routinely receive customer service training classes and be continually reminded by an office manager how to respond professionally to customers that pay hundreds, or even thousands, of dollars that eventually pay their salary. IMO poor customer service is what harms all businesses and especially the small business owner.

It wasn't until I paid over $5000 out-of-pocket to have my existing dental work replaced and fixed. After one week of starting the process, the work I just had done started to break and fall off!! She continue to fix the problems over and over again while charging me, long story short, I have to have all the work redone by a new dentist and some of my teeth are unfixable. So when the price sounds too good to be true it probably is.

Anyone being asked to do this needs to file a complaint with their insurance provider and contact the Department of Human Services. When I pushed back against this practice, they dropped my grandson from services there. I will gladly find him another dentist.

I wanted to re-verify that information and the technician took me back to talk to the women at the front desk. They, again, verified that I definitely would not be charged. But, later, after the x-ray and the cleaning, A RECEIPT WAS SHOVED UNDER MY NOSE AND I WAS BILLED A FEE (I have insurance). So, it was simply lies atop another lie from the time that I walked in the door. Their office manager was rude when I later called to discuss the bill. She obviously had a problem admitting the LIE. I might have casually accepted the "fee" but I cannot accept LIES. I WILL NOT RETURN HERE AND I CAUTION YOU TO FIND A DIFFERENT PROVIDER.
