This place is classy and efficient and very friendly. DePietro's filled my prescription quickly and they have excellent customer service. I transferred all my prescriptions to them away from CVS. The pharmacist even follows up with your the next day leaving a nice message saying they value you as a customer. Class act!!!

This, then, is our store for getting the things needed to fill that goodie bag. The store is small and it's quite run down. Carbondale is not the fanciest place in Pennsylvania, but the place suffices for what we need. I must compliment the people who have waited on me at checkout. While I don't know if any of them have ever waited on me before (who could remember from one year to the next), they have always been pleasant and helpful.

I tried to renew them with other prescriptions less than a week b/4 they were due. I guess the fool doesn't realize that there are 30 days in some months and 31 in others. The person fulfilling the order sent me updates or clarifying questions about substitutions when applicable. Items that they did not have were refunded and delivery was fast. It's a lower-budget Whole Foods, but some departments (such as cheeses or bakery) are equivalent to or better than smaller Whole Foods stores. Full-service butcher and seafood department, huge bakery and prepared foods sections, it puts a lot of other stores to shame. There's always something new to discover here, which makes grocery shopping, dare I say, fun.

I am really glad to be able to go to a well-run, competent, local pharmacy where they know what they're doing. Their selection of merchandise is not huge, but somehow they usually manage to have what I'm looking for - (kind of the opposite of those huge stores where they have a zillion thing but not what you actually want...)
