I saw an Instagram ad about submitting a story for a senior dog photo session and decided to enter…read more I was later told I "won," and when I asked about cost, I was told "that was the best part" and that it would be completely free aside from a $50 deposit to secure the appointment. The photo session was very short, about 15 minutes total. We also scheduled a Zoom meeting during the session, but later found out they booked the wrong day, and since our requested time was full, we had to reschedule. During the photo review Zoom call, we reviewed about 8 decent photos and learned that packages start at $2,000-$4,000. Even with a "$500 discount" I supposedly won, the total was still over $1,500. Overall, the experience felt misleading and emotionally driven, with pricing only disclosed afterward. Pricing should be transparent upfront and customers' time should be respected.

Well, I private messaged and emailed one such photographer and she never even bothered to respond! Discouraged, I turned to my old friend Yelp, and Ashley Blake caught my eye. Great reviews, nice looking photos- and wouldn't you know, she responded within the hour. From that point on everything was wonderful. Ashley does a great job communicating with you. I paid a partial deposit and we worked out a meeting spot and photo location. Ashley comes prepared with all of her equipment, and an artistic eye for nice backdrops. Asking an 18 year old boy to pose for an hour is a tall order, but she's so friendly and chill my son complied! We had a rare cold snap the day before our appointment and Ashley gave me the choice to reschedule if I preferred. This is turning into a long review, but what I'm trying to say is that she's terrific! I'm so glad I found Ashley and would recommend her to anyone.

Jane did such a great job, that I am now having a really hard time figuring which photos I want to print and frame because I have over a handful of potential photos for each frame! If I had it my way, I would print them all out and show them all off because they are all so beautiful, but then our house would look like a shrine of our wedding! Jane and her assistant also dressed very professionally at the wedding. I have been to weddings where the photographer looked like they just rolled out of bed, or that their clothes are so absurd that they stick out like a sore thumb. Jane was wearing a cute and semi-dressy outfit where she almost fit in with the wedding. I think this is personally a huge touch. Her personality was great and very responsive with her emails. She had me print out a list of what pictures I definitely wanted and she didn't skip a beat on any of them. She was great!
