There was a great selection across all genres from new releases, kids, young adult, mystery, romance, and more plus fun gifts, cards, puzzles, etc. that made browsing even better. The staff was friendly, the vibe was cozy, and prices were in line with what you would expect from a quality independent shop. My only "complaint" was that the bookstore hosted a local author signing the night before and while they had the third book in stock (signed!), they were sold out of the first in the series, which I would have bought had it been in stock. Still, this is such a charming and well curated bookstore. I would definitely return!

The atmosphere is a combination of old charm (hardwood floors and finishes) and up-to-date books and merchandise. The salesperson was informative, friendly and kind. And they have cats!!!! They have a cool selection of books, and a lot of gift type things like tea, stuffed animals, bookmarks, art supplies, etc. I noticed the dinner menu and decided a cheeseburger sounded good. I ordered the Basecamp cheeseburger with bacon and a side salad. You can apparently order food upstairs and then sit upstairs or downstairs (or outside, I think). They have table service as well, after 4pm. Service was very friendly and patient. I decided to eat downstairs, and there was a cozy bar and large seating area. My burger soon arrived and it was delicious! A great toasted bun and a wonderfully substantial and beefy patty. The cheese was rich and gooey. Great, yummy combination of flavors. The salad was good too, with a nice ranch dressing on the side. A cool place that made me feel welcome and served up a great burger.

I just couldn't leave town without stopping in! I'm a huge reader, so this was actually my first visit in a bookstore since sheltering-in-place, which made the experience all the more special to me. I walked in and was the only one in the store, other than the owner. This is a used bookstore with many prized possessions here. I could've really spent the entire day here, but was given a deadline of 20 minutes by bae because we had a wine tasting appointment we needed to get to. So I quickly found the fiction area and browsed as fast as I could, in search of my next read. They also had a deal where if you buy two books, you get one for free, which was tempting. But sadly, I was only able to find one book in such a short time spent here. However, I scored a first edition of a John Updike novel, so it's really a win-win. Bailey's Bibliomania is located off the main street of businesses in town. Parking is easy to find right out front of the store. The owner was very nice and just as you'd expect from these kind of small bookstores, it's a place where you can talk about books with the owner because he actually reads the material. In my brief chat with him, I learned that Bailey's Bibliomania was named after his beagle that sadly passed away. Yet, you see the image of a beagle in the store's logo throughout the place. I just love that this kind of bookstore makes for such a needed presence today, in a world of screens. Kittitas is lucky to have this here; support this business!

I've been going since the 80's and galaxy comics was the only place I could order comics at the time in the valley. This is not your stereotypical angry geek comic book store like from the Simpsons or the magic the gathering store in the same lot where a clique of angry gatekeepers will sneer at you. Please support your local comics book store instead of buying off Amazon who will ship your comics like they just got put through the wood chipper.
