My rig on site
Jim B.

This RV Park is amazing! Great location near beaches, stores and more. Beautiful facilities and a great lake (even has gators) Great RV sites - level and mine is paved. Great club house and pools and grounds. This is a big park with over 300 sites. The dog park is the best I've seen at an RV Park and Chop loved it. They pick up your garbage at the front of your site every morning at 9 AM (except Sunday) - a big help. I had cable at my site. No wifi at site - they have Wifi at the club house and main office area. Long term people get a service for wifi. The staff was awesome and helpful. This is the greatest large scale RV Park I've been to. It gets expensive after Dec 12 so I had to leave. I'd have spent the winter here if rates stayed at what my 2 weeks were. Update - I'm now going to address recycling at the RV Parks I visit. This park has no bins to put recycle materials. (I think most RV'rs would like to be able to recycle and help the environment) There are some bins in a park about a mile away. I've added pics from my stay here.

This is a very large Park and we seem to have gotten the worst spot right by the freeway and the dog park the sites however are relatively level and asphalt. No grass to speak of but there is a picnic table. For the size of this park pool they have is very small. Just a bit of information the laundry room does not take quarters you need to use a charge card. There seems to be a lot of seasonal people here so this must be a good place but as we were traveling through not so nice

The completely unstable rigging we had to do to fit our RV in the site that they refuse to let us move from. No apologies. No nothing.

We travel often for competitions and this by far has been the best place we've stayed at in Southern Florida. The community is well maintained as were the amenities. Having a cottage versus a hotel room was the best. The one bedroom was perfect for us (2 adults + toddler). Stores are close and convenient....and the best thing. NO DIRTY CLOTHES to bring home. There is a washer and dryer in the cottage as well. Love this property and so grateful we found it. Will highly recommend anyone book here as well we are already looking forward to a return trip.

Arbor Terrace claims they can accommodate 45' RVs, but it is simply just TOO tight, with unlevel lots you'll sink in. Go elsewhere! Campground employees asked us to move TWICE during our six-day stay... It was hard enough getting into the one spot we were already in, but the space they wanted us to move to was even tighter! We had to refuse moving, because we just would not have fit & would've hung up our rig. Next door neighbor told us big RVs get stuck in the lots fairly often here. It's a really nice park, overall: clean, quiet, friendly... but the infrastructure fits smaller sized campers, best.

But there are great stores and restaurants nearby for convenience. We stayed here 5 days September. We were in the pull-thrus right across from the lake. The lake is pretty with many water birds. They allow catch and release fishing and kayaking. There is a sign that there may be alligators but we didn't see any. The site was long enough for our 32 ft travel trailer and pickup to be in. We had full hookups that were in good condition. There was a picnic table and grass on the door side and a beautiful palm tree on the driver's side. It was a nice area to put chairs and enjoy the lake or there were benches to sit and relax. There was a pool and other amenities that we did not try but looked nice. It will be fun going back when I can use these things! Office staff was friendly and helpful. They take Passport America at least in summer. I definitely recommend Pleasant Lake RV Resort!! Had socially distanced activities and most everyone using masks. Such a pretty resort and had only bikes for transportation and close to stores, restaurants and CVS. The park is very convenient off I-275 on US 41. The streets are paved, the sites are gravel for the RV, parking for your vehicle is grass with a concrete patio with a picnic table. It's not a big park and there are many park models so you need to get your request for a site in early for the winter season. Luckily, they had a space available for us in June. They have a nice saltwater pool which was the perfect temperature. I really enjoyed There are also amenities & things to do but we did not take part in them. The sites are decent so you have room between your slides and the neighbors. Everyone we met was very nice. I want to mention Jaden Clark, who works in the office and Marty, head of maintenance. They are both very nice, knowledgeable and super helpful!! I made our reservations and checked-in through Jared. Marty helped us back in and get the water going. They are both real assets!! I recommend Winterset RV Resort. We haven't stayed longer or during the season so can't talk about long term or seasonal visits. I cannot say about anything else, but we enjoyed our stay at the park.

Wanting to ensure…read moreour first "camping" experience since then would be one to remember and inspire more, I chose glamping to reduce the heavy lifting. And boy, am I glad I did. Not because of the: - Ice-cold AC that felt like a personal Arctic breeze - Mini fridge that perfectly held all our essentials (and a sneaky stash of chocolate for S'mores) - Keurig coffee maker that made mornings in the wild feel like a cozy café - Extremely comfy beds that cradled us like marshmallows - Strategically placed fan keeping the cool air flowing and the bugs away - All in a safe, clean, well-appointed tent and campsite that made us feel like nature royalty But also for the pure joy of being able to immerse ourselves in nature with none of the hassle. In just five minutes, you could be on the river or fishing. We saw everything from alligators and turtles to amazing birds. The water was crystal clear, and the campers were extremely friendly and respectful. Even the shower water was hot with great pressure - a true luxury in the wild. For novices and pros alike, this is the perfect way to introduce kids and adults to camping. You get the best of both worlds - the thrill of the great outdoors with the comforts of home. However, a quick tip for fellow glampers: make sure the Velcro seams on your tent are sealed. Otherwise, you might wake up at 3 am to a raccoon staring at you eye to eye, munching on a bag of Cheetos. Trust me, nothing says "good morning" quite like a critter with a penchant for junk food and personal space invasion! In the end, our glamping trip was the perfect blend of comfort and adventure. Whether you're a seasoned camper or a first-timer, this experience is bound to leave you with great memories and a newfound appreciation for the great outdoors - with the added bonus of a good night's sleep and no backaches. Plus, you get to tell the tale of your midnight raccoon rendezvous - a true badge of glamping honor!
