I was incredibly blessed to meet Leanne. I met her at a time in my life my current hearing aids just were not doing what they were meant to do anymore. I am hard of hearing and cannot hear anything without the aid of my hearing devices. I had begun to believe there was nothing on the market and this left me feeling helpless and hopeless. I have been wearing hearing aids all my life so when you get to the point you cannot even hear with a hearing aid it's a little scary to experience. In the last decade, I have come to find there is a difference between someone trying to sell you something and someone that truly wants to help and make a difference. Leanne was the first audiologist I have found in Florida to listen and really seek to understand and help me. I was able to try out a couple of pairs of hearing aids and when they didn't help me we began a journey together looking for other kinds that would help me in the professional world I lived and worked in. She was amazing in every way. She is the most caring and compassionate soul. After we found my pair of Phonak's, and a little gadget called Roger my life truly changed. She worked with me for weeks to set them up and programed them perfectly. Leanna even helped me find other accessories for the office phone and even Bluetooth capabilities and for the tv that helped me more at work and home. There are sounds I didn't even know existed and the background noise that bothered me immensely have been alleviated. My wife and I moved to Edgewater in 2012 and for the first 8 years my hearing loss was treated by a great Audiologist here in Town, but she retired in early 2021 and I was in need of a replacement Hearing Center. I was referred to Leanne Polhill at Encore Hearing in Port Orange. Leanne has been amazing, and she has been wonderful to work with, as I use the Oticon brand of hearing aids, and have been using them for at least 20 years with great satisfaction. Leanne administered my first hearing test last November, 2021, and I was very pleased with how easy she made that task in the testing booth within her office. She then proceeded to make an adjustment to my right hearing aid, which has been helping me understand voice speech better ever since. Just this past week on May 1, 2022, I developed an issue with my left hearing aid and emailed her that Sunday evening, and got an appointment for her to help me on May 10, as we were scheduled to be on a Cruise from May 2-6 and would out of the area on the high seas! That appointment at 4 PM last evening was fantastic, and she was able to solve my issue immediately using the computer software in her office.
