This was our second visit to this RV park. Big difference in a year. About half the park is now long term residential RVs. Large covered lots with elaborate decorations. Very narrow paved roads. With the number of vehicles parking on the lots one has to be good at backing in ! Thank goodness husband is! Bathhouses are very clean and roomy showers. Pool are is roomy with a pool, hot tub and wade pool. They are all very chlorinated. Lots of activities for the kids... (adults too)basketball, horseshoes, pickleball, shuffleboard,swings... People need to clean up more after their dogs. They also have propane fill station and cabins for rent. read more

Okay, new to the RV scene, but this was not good. They are VERY nice on the phone. When you arrive, it looks promising....and then you get your spot. UGH. We got an Elite Premium spot and it was terrible. Let me explain. All you really need is a good hook-up to electric and sewer. If they promise more, they need to deliver! We were promised cable. NOPE. When the maintenance guy came out to help us get a picnic table [also should have been there but wasn't], he said, 'oh, you have to talk to the front office about that...all of the connections are not active.' WHAT? If I have a reservation for what is promised, it needs to be there when I arrive, and I should not have to chase it down!!!! WiFi. If you are willing to pay for it, maybe. WHAT? I never pay for WiFi. Dirty campground. Fire-ring full of trash! To there benefit, the restrooms were somewhat clean, though I would never use them, just had to see it. The spaces on either side of where we camped were APPARENTLY being used as storage lots for people owning RVs, Boats, ATVs, etc. The space directly next to us used every square in of space, right up to the boundary. The pool looked nice, but not a thing I'd consider swimming in, ever. Hot tub? Yes, they have...but there is NO WAY we'd consider that here. Location? Nice area, outside of the grounds. We were in a clear-cut area...no trees, nothing to look at anywhere. Might as well have been an RV storage lot. NO, not good. Needless to say, with time a precious commodity, we stayed until morning and got the heck out of here, and will never return. There's got to be more to RV-ing than a place like this one. read more

We stayed 2 nights in a tent on this trip and found this to be a very enjoyable experience! We arrived a bit late and found the most complete and thought out information packet waiting for us in the late arrivals box. This packet included all the normal park rules, map, and so on.... but it also had an extensive list of local eateries and activities with addresses and phone numbers. 13 pages in all. We arrived at our site and found it clean. The picnic table sits on a concrete slab, the site was grassy and level, and included a fire ring. Electric and water were easily accessible and working great! The restrooms were some of the nicest and cleanest we have ever seen in a campground. The showers were very nice, the water was hot when we needed it, and the clubhouse ones even had rainfall shower heads. The pool was very nice and clean. The water in the pool was a very comfortable warm and is very decent sized with depths going over 8 ft. In the deep end. Lots of nice/clean pool furniture to accommodate guests. The hot tub delivered hot and will easily hold 10 people comfortably. The staff were very friendly and most of the camper/residents were too. There is a nice size clubhouse, a nice clean laundry area with plenty of units, and complimentary coffee and water in the office. If you like water this place has a river running thru it, a nice large pond, and a nice fish cleaning station.... and don't forget the nice playground and other recreational facilities around the park. What we didn't see was a nicely stocked convenience/camper store, or a restaurant/snack bar/bar of any kind. They did have single serve beverages in the office for sale, you can have firewood delivered to your site for right around 6 dollars a bundle, and there were a couple soda vending machines about, and bagged ice available for purchase. There is also a beach on the gulf with picnic tables and restrooms that the road the rv park is on, dead ends into about 4 or 5 miles down. read more

My kids absolutely loved this place, it's really the people that make it up. My toddlers absolutely love older people, I can tell you they would talk the ear off of anyone resembling a grandparent! Luckily for me they don't mind too much. In fact those kids have become celebrities! Every dog knows them and every dog owner knows their name! This is really a nice park. It just has a few little quirks that bring the rating down in my opinion. First of all, the location is fantastic and the sites are huge. They have a weird way of labeling the sites from premium to standard or based on the type of club or discount the person gets. I think this causes more problems than it's worth. The park sits on the canal and you can rent pontoon boats. There's a nice game room, shuffleboard court and other outdoor sports areas. The pool is really nice but the hot tub is out of commission and looks as though it's been that way for sometime. In addition to the fee you pay here, you get stuck with an additional $4 per day resort fee. Many of the Encore / Els parks charge that extra fee. The wifi isn't free like many parks. There's an additional daily fee for that too. We would definitely come back even though I can't give it more than the 3 stars because of the broken hot tub and additional fees for amenities that other parks don't charge extra for. read more

I was hesitant to say the least about staying here. I read online how the cabins are really just trailers in an rv Park. Pulling up I thought "mm ok" but once I walked into our cabin/trailer I instantly felt comfortable. Our truck and boat fit in front of our patio ... we have a pretty big boat so I think most people would fit in the spot. (We have a extended cab and a long bed with a 25ft boat and we fit just right) Immediately in the door is the living room dining area. It is such a small space and the furnishings made it feel more comfortable and cozy than I would have imagined. The colors and the cute turtle painting gave it a nice feeling that you were in a home not in a hotel which I found to be comforting. The tv in the main room was huge for the space and it was on a swivel wall mount so with the kitchen window open my friend watched the game while grilling outside- he was pretty happy about that. Each place has its own fire pit... perfect for a cold weekend like it was. Everyone minded their own business and left each other alone. The bedrooms were only big enough for beds and a small tv was mounted on the walls so that you could watch tv in bed. The beds felt like they were memory foam there were three beds total all of which were full size ... it was very comfortable. The bathroom was small but very functional. They clearly did a renovation on our cabin... even the sink in the bathroom had a led light so that it glowed when you turned it on at night. My only complaint in the bathroom was that the shower curtain was only a cloth one without the plastic lining. The couch felt like it may have been broken a little. When you sat down it like made you sink almost like you were on the springs. The park has its own boat ramp but the water is a little shallow so it's better suited for a skiff, bay or flats boat but we just barely made it our first time out and decided to go to a different ramp for the rest of our trip. I can't drive a truck with a trailer another guest jumped in and helped my friend launch the boat. Such a great experience. Everyone was very friendly, it was a nice quiet stay & our cabin was very comfortable. I would definitely come back again ... just when it's warmer out so the boating is more enjoyable. read more

everybody there if you need something to help you looking for to come back next year I have a really big boat and a really big camper and my side that I got was just perfect for my camper. This location was not anything like one of the previous reviews about it being a parking lot. Yes, all RV parks are parking lots but this had plenty of palm trees, water features/ponds, nice clean restrooms, weight room, community room with coffee, conveniently located to many local parks and attractions. We RV many months out of the year. In any other RV park, the more you pay, the roomier the site, NOT HERE! Paid $85 a night for 4 nights first of June. With slides out, about 3 ft from next door neighbor. Lots of full timers here. Each of our neighbors had about 3 dogs a piece, which explains the gator that wouldn't leave our site! Their "Standard" sites in the park were roomier than our "Elite"! I didn't ask for the "Lake" site, which is a murky gator infested Pond! The river here is just as nasty, but obviously ideal for a fishing boat??? read more

What a huge RV resort. A lot of sites were more long-term sites. We had a lor of rain so our spot was full of water. The walk to the bathrooms was quite far. These were clean and nice. It is a nice place to stay for one night. The WiFi isn't free. So as a local American your good with your AT&T. As a non-American you need to pay. Near Homosassa Springs, so good to visit Ellie Schiller Park to see manatees! read more

So, we'd only stayed at one other Encore property in Bradenton, FL last year and didn't like it at all. We thought we'd give Crystal Isles a try. We were pleasantly surprised! The staff were extremely accommodating, friendly, nice. The bathrooms were spotless, as was the pool area. We were given a nice site (96) near a corner. We had a roomy site considering for a private campground and even trees! The location is perfect -- close by bike trails, Three Sisters Springs, Fort Island Beach, City of Crystal River. We stayed 6 nights and loved the area. The park is also very quiet which was a huge plus. We would consider staying here again. read more

Arrived at night (830pm) and put in a swamp when there was plenty of available sites. No after hours phone available. Dogs running loose and I was almost knocked over by one the next morning. Office hours say 8am. It is now 815 and still closed. We have a boat scheduled for 10am miles away and we sit here waiting for some resolution. On the bright side, the ice cream shop is good. Hopefully I can update this review before we leave. Update: We got to move to our site of choice, which was nice. read more

We stayed for a few days in November of 2020. If we hadn't had reservations someplace the next day, we would have stayed a few more days! We took a site on the lake and they have the fountains going in them. It made it very pretty. One day we used the pool and enjoyed it very much. It was clean and the hot tub was going, although we didn't go in it. It's a large RV park and decided to take our car to the pool. The canal was just behind us and has a boat ramp. Down the street is a public beach with wide, white sand. I wish we'd have had time to access the beach other than watching the sunset. This is definitely on our list of places to visit again! read more

We stayed in the humble "Banana House". It is a one bedroom trailer with a full kitchen. It had everything we needed and was clean. The RV park staff are happy and helpful. The park is on water and hosts plenty of Florida wildlife. I never thought to look in an RV park for a cabin or rental situation but I will from now on. This was a great stay. read more

Stayed here four weeks ago and the hot tub was broken and green. The pool heater wasn't turned on and it was a bit chilly that weekend. We didn't have a fire ring on our spot and the plastic tables were green and disgusting and starting to break. It looks like nobody cleans the spots as they become empty. The park was fairly empty except for all the people that live there, not many people are choosing to stay short term here. Also was told by the Thousand Trail salesman that there is no park manager again. Called today to see if the hot tub was fixed and was told they are still waiting on a part so it's still broken a month later. read more

If I could give this place less stars I would. I have to question how many of the positive reviews are true. This park is a dump! They should be ashamed of themselves, for selling this product! Now I understand why parks have the 10 year rule! This is an RV parking lot. It is full of annual/seasonal people that have garbage all over their sites. Shocking the things "decorating" their sites. The cabins are filthy, from the floors, to the bathrooms, to questioning if the bed linens have been changed. The "ponds" are green scum. I wouldn't want to stay anywhere near them. On a positive note, the main building/laundry and clubhouse are new, and well kept. The women in the office need some training. Maintenance staff do the best they can with the crap they have to maintain. Stay away!! read more

So we came up for a 4 day trip we pulled in this RV campground and we were very shocked to say the least.... not a clean park we drove around and it looks trashy there are no functioning bathrooms they only have porter potties let me just say the highlight of this campground is the check in point the building/office is newly remodeled the rest of the park needs a lot of updates not just the office. The basketball hoop does not even have Net or hoop seriously the pictures make this place look way better then it really is. read more

The campground is decent. They have many rules but don't enforce them. For example, you should be licensed to be driving a golf cart but yet 10 year olds are driving them all around the campground. read more

We only stayed one night, but what a beautiful setting. Please take a step outside and night and you will be surrounded with the most wonderful sounds of nature! Our kids enjoyed the giant outdoor chess set. Campground was nearly full, yet it was very quiet. Friendly staff and clean place. We stayed in a 40 foot RV and had ample room. read more

Drove by this park and were totally unimpressed with how crowded the park was so canceled a reservation we had made for the 4th of July weekend THREE MONTHS from now and still had to pay the $25 cancellation fee ( that we would have been charged for canceling 2 days before arrival) The person on the phone was totally unresponsive to any suggestion that this was early enough that they will still be able to fill up anyway. read more
