Dude went over very few laws, very few helpful things, but did tell us to KEEP THE GUN SAFETY OFF. We learned that any concealed position other than hip is useless, according to him. We learned that his guns are right above wholesale prices. You start with a speech about why you should buy from him. I'd say 80% of the actual class is him pushing his tactical master classes, and then you end with a speech about buying those and how "worth it" they are. If they're anything like this class, I can assure you, they are not worth it. He tries to convince you they are by telling you gun ranges are a complete and total waste of time. All the 5 star reviews look great... until you realize he bribed us to do them. You get store credit for leaving a 5 star review. (A significant amount of store credit). I did not take that opportunity because 1) I knew I wasn't going back there and 2) I wanted to leave an honest review. They do have a good warranty on their guns, (provided they actually honor it, but I don't, and won't, know). The short of it is I left that class knowing nothing. I am so grateful for a gun runners class I took 6 years ago. I learned so much more there than I did here. If this were the only weapons class I took, I would have absolutely NO business concealing a firearm. Somebody is going to get hurt.

After a few moments our instructor led us to the classroom . On the way there he kindly showed us where the restroom, water fountain, coffee machine were at . I felt like I was heard and gained what I needed to in this course. Overall, I would highly recommend this American Red Cross location .

There was one person taking a break in the lobby when I arrived and everyone else was busy taking tests. I sort of expected to have to wait with 10-15 people and go in at the same time but that was by far not the case which was nice. I was able to start my test about an hour early. When you go here, there's basically one room with about 30 people taking different tests around you. You're sitting in a little cubicle directly next to other people but separately by a little short fabric wall behind and to the sides of your computer. You can bring unwrapped cough drops in a plastic bag to help you if you start coughing and also a clear plastic bottle of water with no wrapper. They give you everything else for your test like a calculator, pen, and scratch paper. The chairs that you sit on are like rolling office chairs with decent fabric cushion which was comfortable. They have headphones there- the ones you might wear to a racetrack to block out noise. I tried those for the first ten minutes and couldn't get comfortable in them but you can also bring foam ear plugs which could help. It wasn't too loud to focus other than people coughing occasionally. They have lockers with numbered keychain locks for you to use during your test for free and I was able to fit my purse with snacks in it. When you take a break you cannot look at study material or a phone but can grab a snack and use the bathroom. They have two bathrooms right around the corner when you step out of the computer room. They were relatively clean. I was really nervous and anxious but getting there early and being checked in by very good employees made me feel less stressed.

This company has turned predatory…read more I recommended this company to a friend, as I previously took a very good class there. My opinion has changed. Yes it is during the coronavirus. Yes things are right. But they essentially provided an online course with the cost of 100$ and a separate affadavit required to get the necessary licensing, and told my friend to go elsewhere to have someone else sign the form. No instructor in their right mind is going to sign a form on someone else's training. This is a money gouging play, and the details are not well provided, and it should not be allowed to stand.

Think twice before choosing this school…read more My main problem with this school are the inexperienced staff, disjointed program, constantly changing standards and procedures, and cost. Problem one: Inexperienced staff. You will be told about how many of the staff have advanced degrees in nursing and they do. However, just because you know how to perform a procedure does NOT make them instantly wonderful at TEACHING a procedure. I attended classes where over 1/2 of the class FAILED THE COURSE. This would not be such a big deal, however, (and you will only find this in your student handbook, that you get AFTER you have enrolled) you can only fail 2 nursing courses before you are kicked out of the school. Problem two: Disjointed Program Your basic underlying basic classes such as Biology, chemistry etc are provided by DeVry university. These 'non-nursing' classes can be passed at 70% level. Again, only after you have enrolled you are informed that nursing courses must be passed at a 76% level. Problem three: Constantly changing standards and procedures Time windows for testing, procedures for classes are a constantly moving target. DO NOT TRY TO WORK OR HAVE ANY SOCIAL LIFE WHEN ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL. At one point, weekly quizzes could only be taken on Sunday, when the school was closed! Problem four: Cost Coming straight from High School with no prior College. $650 * 120 = $78,000.00 Coming in with 1/2 of your college completed $650 * 60 = $39,000.00 In-state at UNF Coming straight from High School with no prior College. $144 * 120 = $17,280.00 Coming in with 1/2 of your college completed $144 * 60 = $ 8,640.00 $60,720 Greater cost to go to Chamberlain.
