We were really impressed with our photos, UNTIL we got our Wedding video, our wedding video wasn't good at all, they didn't edit Lightning, they didn't add our vows, the speeches ( we paid them extra to include the audio in the video) we asked them to fix the video, we sent them all the details that we wanted them to fix in the video. But when we received our wedding video there were still a lot of things to be fixed. We had to ask them to fix the video around 4 times, our wedding was in October 2022, we got the final video on February 2023, 4 months that we were contacting the manager many times, we even asked them for a partial refund of the money, because we were tired of asking to fix and they were not fixing our video completely, then we had to contact the owner because the manager wasn't answering anymore, the owner decided to help us and check every detail that the editing team was fixing before they send us the video. That is the reason why I put 3 stars, because even though we had to go through all this stress, our wedding video turned beautiful. read more

Ruined my daughter's wedding photos. They won't return phone calls so the only way to communicate the issues with them was by email. We have 1, I repeat 1 out of 300+ photos that is frame able. The photos are unedited & many of the same photo is used over & over with different filters. The videographer is actually in several of the photos. The day cannot be recreated, of course, so the photos are ruined. I would never recommend them nor will they ever be used again. They ruined my daughter's day. The photographer had to be solicited numerous times through out the day to get the photos that were on the list he was given. There are photos on the requested list that were never even obtained. This is a scam company. They lure you in to pay a deposit then ghost you and hold you against the contract that I'm pretty sure isn't even legal. My party photos all had sun glares in a shape of a bubble everywhere. The photographer assistant did a terrible job in organizing or posing my group party so it looked messy. And some faces where being blocked by the person in the front of them. From the very start they were accommodating, helpful, responsive, patient, professional and went above and beyond all of our wants and needs. This review is long, but a warning to other couples out there. I booked Encompass Weddings March 2023, for my wedding in September 2023. After about a week or two I was finally matched with both photographer and videographer. I was able to look through their portfolios (mostly instagram and personal websites). I was pleased with their work and excited to start discussing details. My Encompass rep who I had originally worked with after about a month was switched to someone new. While i was a bit hesitant, I had no issues with this new rep who seemed attentive and helpful. I was told that my photographer and videographer ("my team") would be reaching out soon. My videographer reached out within days and started asking questions to get to know my fiancé and I and to get ideas of what we were looking for. My photographer on the other hand took about a week to respond so I decided to reach out to him instead (first red flag). I followed up with 2 emails, to try and get a response as our wedding was quickly approaching. I finally received a response which worked in our favor. As we moved closer to September, I connected with both my videographer and photographer over the phone. My videographer was very enthusiastic and seemed very excited to work with us and film our day while our photographer seemed not as enthusiastic and more along the lines of "a job is a job". He asked for me to come up with a shot list of names and a pinterest/mood board of poses or things I'd like to have shots of. I took a lot of time to gather all of my names (30 people) and created my board and sent all of this over weeks prior, but i never received acknowledgment until the week before the wedding. I received a "thumbs up" to the list. Additionally, I emailed & texted over a detailed itinerary/timeline that included a list of the vendors and phone numbers. That timeline was once again "thumbs up" which I assumed meant that the photographer read it. Fast forward to day of the wedding, my nerves are already at an all time high, everyone shows up on time, as scheduled. I've asked for the videographer and photographer to be ready to shoot by 2pm. My videographer shows up at about 1:30 to prepare and get the shots he needed, while my photographer does not show up not and decides not to answer any calls or text messages from my coordinator. When 2 pm finally passes my family and I were waiting, we finally get a call back from our photographer stating that he thought everything started at 5:30pm. My coordinator firmly reminds him that the timeline was sent and was acknowledged by him. He said he would rush over but would not be able to get to us until 4pm latest. Fortunately our angel of a videographer, had a camera and let us know the lens wasn't correct but still least i would have something rather than nothing. We were very happy and agreed for him to take the photos until the photographer could show up. Mind you, my wedding ceremony started at 5 PM and we have 30 people to take our portraits with along with our own bride and groom photos. So not only where those rushed, but there would be no time or little time to take pictures at the venue as well. I was heartbroken. When the photographer finally showed up he had very little time to take our pictures and it also seemed that he hardly looked at any of the things that were asked for me to provide. By 4:30 PM I had to rush over to the venue to take a look at the decor, and make sure that everything looked correct, which there were mishaps there as well. The photographer was there a few minutes after me, and he had very little time to get any pictures of the decor, the centerpieces, etc. He stayed until around 8pm ( we had an 8hr contract) so clearly breached contract. Moving on to receiving my images, they were delivered as stated within the 30 to 60 days. However, the quality of the images since encompass is in charge of all editing, I received only six pictures of my entire venue, about 30 to 40 photos of my bride and groom portraits (no portraits of just me), no getting ready photos, and just a few pictures with my family before hand. There were no flat lay pictures which most brides look forward to. I have no pictures with my mom which I stated was important, and other miscellaneous photos that one would expect from a wedding photographer and company. I have reached out several times to Encompass Weddings to help resolve this issue since these photos are all that I have been waiting for since the day of the wedding. We are now three months into trying to resolve this situation, and there has been no resolution insight. I would also like to make note that this company has no phone number to contact and they fully work through email and occasional text messages which has been extremely frustrating throughout this entire process. While the prices may seem reasonable, the experience and the outcome was not the best. So please be aware before booking them for your most special day. read more

Literally the only reason why I am giving these people two stars is because they've initiated a refund of all our money plus an extra gift for all the trouble after they royally screwed us over! Everything about them looked good...until we signed the contract and paid the deposit. Their Google reviews were good, good sample photos, quick to respond, good price, etc. Once we signed the contract and paid them, they essentially stopped communicating with me. I hired them two months before our wedding. About two and a half weeks before the wedding, I still had not heard from them about who our photographer was actually going to be. I reached out via email, text, and HoneyBook and received no response! After a week+ of not hearing anything, I filled out the inquiry form on their website and THAT is what got them to acknowledge me. Within minutes of doing that, I got a response from their sales person. After that, the only messages I received were via text and only after I texted or called first. Their messages were always something along the lines of "we're working on it" and "we apologize for the inconvenience." After I submitted my final payment, one week before our event, I thought that we would be given our assignment since that's what was laid out in our contract. Nope! Come the Monday before our wedding, I still hadn't heard anything and was getting more of the same responses. Yesterday (three days before my wedding), I received a message from them stating that they were unable to find us anyone and that they would be refunding us all of our money plus a bonus gift. Great compensation, but three days before the event?! Seriously?! After you had TWO MONTHS to get us someone?! Absolutely not OK! Thankfully, we were able to find someone else at the extreme last minute and they sound great, so I am hoping that it will all work out, but we and our new photographer should not have to have been put in this position! Absolutely do not hire Encompass Weddings unless you like having your emails ignored, having to make back up plans, and having to find someone else at the last minute. read more

From the very beginning they were able to put us at ease as we walked through the planning process and got to know them a little better before our big day. Yes, if you are a company and hire other photographers or videographers, that is called sub contracting lol. Basically you don't know who your photographers are and you just blindly accept them (of course, before the wedding) - but just note: they said you can change the team or if you're not satisfied with what they picked for you.. I guess that is good. But I would like to know who I am paying for in advance lol After I confronted them about not being up front, they said "I'm sorry but that's not how our company works unfortunately. You can see from our website and social media that our work isn't one photographer or videographer. We assign you one of our wonderful team members. They will then call you and introduce themselves and share their work with you. ... I'm sorry but we don't feel like we need to put exactly how we run our company. We figure if you were worried about it, that you would do more research and look at google reviews and things like that. On instagram we are tagged by different photographers. And the location of weddings are all over california. It's not a secret. I'm sorry you missed that. That's why it's Encompass weddings and not an individual name. " ...... SOOOO... I'm supposed to do the research?? I'm supposed to know what the name means? Like really?? I screenshotted the text msgs and posted it. It seems like the company has a problem and not mine. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE! Please do not waste your money on this company. When I first booked with encompass they did not have any reviews but seem established on social media and website made their business sound great. FIRST: they do not mention anywhere that the photographers and videographers are outside agents and not actually employees of Encompass (not a huge deal), SECONDLY: they also do not mention that the photographer and videographer do not edit their own work instead encompass has their own editing team (what??) THIRD: I was told I would receive my photos and video in 35 Business days that did not happen, and this is where I lost all respect for the company. I received my video in the time frame they promised, because of this I was happy for a while and ignored the fact that they were late sending my photos. After about a week, Thursday I email for a follow up, no response. Monday another follow email, no response. Wednesday another follow up email, no response. Friday an Urgent follow up, you guessed it NO RESPONSE. With email being the only form of contact I started googling possible phone numbers with no luck which ultimately resulted in me signing up for new package info as a NEW BRIDE. Less than 5 mins later I was contacted. I confronted the company and they acted as if they did not receive any of my emails and apologized. I was promised a follow up on my photo date and again had to send them an email 2 days later for a follow up. There communication was great up until the wedding was over. I finally received my photos after hounding them, and all for the final edits to be HORRIBLE. They look as if they used one filter over all the photos (which made everything orange), no cropping, no photos of bride and father dancing, all the family photos had people talking or blinking, very little couple photos of the Bride and Groom (we took a lot of different poses not included) I felt as if they wanted me to stop emailing and just sent work unfinished. Now I am left with photos I hate of one the most important days of my life. I know this review is long but PLEASE DO NOT go with Encompass, they are a SCAM!! We couldn't have had a better photography and videography duo than what we got with Angelina and Nick! They did an AMZING job and we're both so nice. The video is such good quality and edited perfectly, I wish he could capture my whole life. The pictures were exactly what I was looking for and Angelina made the lighting look SO good and helped direct us for poses so we didn't look awkward. If I could leave no stars I would. Initially Encompass was quick to get us set for our wedding day but then communication was terrible. I constantly had to reach out to get any progress about our photographer or videographer being assigned. Due to this, I decided to change directions - I didn't need that stress leading up to my wedding. When asking to cancel their services, I noticed they hadn't even signed the contract on their end, making it a non binding contract. When I asked for my full refund (as the contract itself said it was non binding until all parties signed) they went and signed the contract that day, AFTER I said to cancel. They told me there was no upper management I could speak with about this as they don't take customer calls and eventually stopped responding to my calls and emails altogether. Encompass Weddings never assigned our team. We booked them 7 months in advance. We have asked on multiple occasions and a month and weeks ahead of time to discuss details. They respond with robotic messages such as "please assure we are working asap on your team." Two weeks before the wedding, there was still no communication and no assignment so we finally decided to wait no longer. We sent them an email to cancel our contract. The next day, they apparently found our team and have sent us details of our team who was supposed to reach out within 24 hours, this info was sent through text. I never received any information or details through email or Honeybook. Read your contract before signing and assure that they will assign someone and give you a chance to at least meet with your photographers and have time to apply for the permits and discuss details in a timely manner. Overall, they are unreliable and I cannot trust that even if they find us a team that they will provide us with quality service and follow through with commitments. read more
