I had a sewage backup that occurred in my condo bathroom and HVAC drain. I called Servpro at about 7pm (Monday) and the project manager immediately called me back at 830pm that same evening and was willing to travel to me to assess the damages that same night. I scheduled the assessment the next morning and the project manager was able to accommodate my schedule. The project manager, Brad, was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He explained his assessment and explained why. Since there was no insurance claim filed on this incident, I was required to put a 50% down payment. As soon as I made payment, his team was very quick to start with the sewage remediation. By Thursday the team was setting up the containment area (with zippers for me to pass through when needed) and started running the dehumidifiers and air filters. On Friday they started work and by the following Monday they finished the remediation. During the weekend someone even came by to check the moisture levels on the machines. The remediation team, Landon and Jesse, were fantastic with vacuuming everything during and after the cutting of drywall to minimize the spread of dust (an extra precaution since the contamination area was already sectioned off with the filter fans running to catch the dust). They made sure all the trash was properly bagged and that all work was documented through photos. They answered all my questions, tested areas that I had concerns about, and explained the process of spraying and steam cleaning. They were extremely professional and friendly and really helped calm me down during this high stress situation. I would not hesitate to use Servpro again! They are awesome!

They graciously apologized and started the cleanup which took two days longer. Both account mangers Nelfa and Zack said we would not be charged as it wasn't our fault. (I even have emails to support this.). Jesse, mitigation cheif was also there. They were very helpful. Much to our surprise , our bill from Servpro was $1300.00 more than the estimate. When I asked for details for the extra charges to make sure we were not charged for the extra days, we were instead bullied and threatened, no explanation. Ronda said the additional charges were approved by the insurance company which wasn't true. We were not even asked to approve so why not. And if they are experts, the estimate should be close to the final billing unless we were charged extra. Sadly, if you have to bully and threaten, there is something terribly wrong with management. $85.00 if done correctly with the rest of basement compared to $1300.00.

After my first job with Mike I was super happy with him. However, I used him again and this time I…read morewas so displeased. It was not funny. We hired Mike to remove a bar and to fix the ceiling after a leak. He charged us $150 to remove the bar. He then told us that he would charge us $300 to put the bar back in place and fix the ceiling. We had told them at that time that we would be using wall paneling to repair the ceiling. We had wall paneling on the ceiling at that time in another spot. When it came time to do the repair Mike showed up on the first day but lost his keys in his car and spent the entire day trying to get his keys out of the car rather than calling a service to do it for him. So he blew the entire day. On Wednesday I don't know what time he showed up because I had an appointment but when I got home at noon he promptly left and didn't show back up and until late afternoon and only stayed for an hour. After which he had a allowed argument with his wife over speakerphone about missing Valentine's Day dinner. He then left my house and returned late afternoon the next day after I made several calls to him trying to figure out where he was after. He stated he would be there the next morning. Very little communication. This type of behavior went on for days. When the job was complete, Mike tried to charge us over $1,600 for putting the bar back in and repairing the ceiling. I might add that the ceiling portion was 3x 20 ft Wall paneling and then he had to put the bar back in spot which was in two pieces. At this point he had severely damaged many pieces of the bar and the assembly around it. He had also left pencil marks on the ceiling which for some reason he thought was acceptable. Mike is not a licensed contractor but actually a handyman. This whole ordeal spent over a course of 4 days. Something that should probably have taken place in one day. At the end my husband and I ended up completing the job ourselves because Mike didn't show up on the final day except to pick up his tools when I told him we finished the job ourselves. For the pictures you see below, he actually wanted $848. After completing the job he then told me that his price was $125 an hour and said that he had worked over 15 hours which he can't even account for because he was so spotty in showing up and not showing up and he would come and go and take off for his wife, his children or to go shopping or to eat or who knows what or are even for other clients in the middle of working for me. To me, this now meant he was changing the original price that he had given me from $300 to something more. I do not recommend this company or this person to anyone and I've included pictures of his shoddy work. I should also mention that Mike wanted to decide what materials to use in my house and when I said no he was very upset. I had to go down and explain to him that he does not get to decide what materials are used in other people's house. I told him I was using wall panels and a specific one and he said he wanted to use a certain type of product and spray paint it. When I said no he was very upset and said that his idea was a good idea and that the people buying my house would have liked his idea. I am an interior designer and I'm very good at what I do. My house sold in one week in this very bad market. Obviously I know what I'm doing. I'm also going to include a letter that Mike sent me that was extremely rude regarding his displeasure about using the materials he wanted.
