I am thankful for friendly staff! I also had a few issues after I moved in and the maintenance staff was awesome! Big props! I love the gym and especially love the hammocks! I spend so much time at the hammocks! I can't wait for the summer to chill and tan at the pool. What's nice about this place is that it is brand new and clean! You get to enjoy breaking in the place. The floors are fantastic in the apartments. They look so nice and fancy. If you're looking for a new place, come on over! Also, the swamp rabbit trail is right next the apartments. Not yet paved but hopefully soon! If you do move into building 2, there is a elevator. If you're apartment in viewing the pool, it's super bright. Purchase curtains!

Management refuses to address this issue (the entire property looks like this.) I caught the offending neighbor tossing dog crap off her 2nd floor balcony as well. We've reported her multiple times, how about implementing those fines you speak of, proud manager? If I could give negative stars I would. Since I've lived here, we're on (disgraceful) property manager #5. The high turnover rate speaks for itself. This place is nothing more than disguised Section 8 housing. Our last neighbor told us she was on it & it showed. Hence the chicken fat baked into our hallway from 2 Julys ago. The grounds are flooded in dog poop. It is EVERYWHERE starting right at the bottom of the stairs. The residents don't pick it up & neither does management. When we called the office, we were sternly told "It's the resident's responsibility." Ummm no, it's ultimately yours, Ascent! Their solution is to send text messages out that go ignored. Kids can't play on the grass & guaranteed you'll step in it & bring it inside. Not to mention the swarms of flies. None of the windows have screens, so if it's a nice day forget opening them for fresh air, your apt will be swarmed by flies. We had to buy an electronic swatter. Fly tennis is an on going game over here, fun for the whole family! There are designated garbage pick up times which nobody honors. Multiple bags of garbage build up in the hallways all the time baking in the heat. There are supposed to be fines, but nobody from the office ever comes to check the buildings to enforce the rules. The hallway walls & floors are absolutely disgusting & stained by constant leaking bags of trash. I've seen mice & cockroaches feeding on the open bags feet from my door & have reported it to management multiple times. There is also a literal blanket of cigarette butts & trash in the landscaping outside of most balconies. The property manager does not care one bit when anything of concern is brought to her attention. We've seen someone walking around in the middle of the night with what looked like an AR-15. We called the police, it is documented. We also found a bullet in the parking lot that we turned into Jasmine. This happened when multiple cars were being broken into. My washing machine broke & was replaced with a unit that was moldy, full of hair, lint, stickers, crusted detergent, someone else's nasty wet clothes inside & an exploded pen in the dryer that turned the entire thing blue. It also smelled of cat piss. We both immediately called the office and each spoke to someone, there was no follow up. It's been a month. Unbelievable they think that's acceptable for any tenant, let alone one who pays almost $1800/month, on time each month. Their "dog park" is going to get your dog sick. It's essentially an oversized kennel that nobody cleans. This is how animals get ill ... worms, Parvo, etc. Imagine your child playing at the park with dog poop every 2 feet piled up. How they list this as an amenity is beyond comprehension. If you decide to check this place out, make sure you walk not only around the back buildings, but up the stairs to the 3rd floors to see for yourself. It's absolutely vile. We can't get out of here fast enough.

Yesterday I went back by to inquire about March 1st and after some confusion she asked what price range am I looking for. I said, "Ideally about $1500". She said 2 br apartments start at $1800 and immediatly tried to refer me to their sister property in an area I did not want to be. She assumed the figure I gave her was my final price when I meant it to be a starting point. Believe me, I can afford $1800 and up but she brushed me off without finding that out. Screw this place if that's an indication of how they run things.

My most recent experience involved a major flood in my apartment that originated from an upstairs unit and was not caused by me in any way. This is also the second time I have experienced a significant flooding incident while living here. What followed was one of the most frustrating and poorly managed experiences I have had as a resident. After the flood damaged a large area rug, I worked with management to coordinate its removal and cleaning. I adjusted my work schedule and worked from home specifically to accommodate the scheduled pickup after confirming multiple times that a remediation team would be arriving. Because the rug is extremely large and heavy, I had already communicated that it was not a one-person job. Instead, due to what appeared to be a complete breakdown in communication, a single employee arrived alone to remove the rug. Not surprisingly, the removal could not be completed. The entire situation was handled in a way that can only be described as ridiculous. What was even more disappointing was the response from management afterward. Rather than contacting me to understand what had occurred, I received an email accusing me of yelling, using profanity, and verbally abusing staff. Those allegations are completely false. At no point did anyone seek my side of the story before accepting and repeating those claims. I was also informed that I was expected to move furniture in preparation for the rug removal. Considering the flood originated from another unit and was not my fault, I do not believe it is reasonable to expect a tenant to perform physical labor related to remediating damage they did not cause. To add to my concerns, I was informed by the remediation company that water testing was not performed. As a resident whose home and personal property were affected by the flood, I found that concerning and believe greater transparency regarding the remediation process is warranted. The most frustrating aspect of this entire situation has been the lack of communication, accountability, and professionalism. What should have been a straightforward remediation process became unnecessarily stressful because of poor coordination and a willingness to place blame on the tenant rather than address the underlying issues. The property itself is beautiful, which is one of the reasons I chose to live here for several years. However, when a major issue arises, the true measure of a community is how it treats its residents. Based on my recent experiences, I no longer feel that tenants are treated with the level of respect, fairness, and professionalism they deserve. As a loyal resident who has lived here for several years and consistently pays rent in full and on time every month, I am deeply disappointed by how this situation has been handled. The level of professionalism, communication, and regard for residents is not what it once was. I do not know what has changed within the management team at The Lofts at Woodside Mill, but from a tenant's perspective, the change has been unmistakably for the worse.

The office always responded immediately and made sure everything was set up beforehand to help relieve move-in stress. Once I got out here, I was able to meet Marissa, Nicole and Andrea in person and they welcomed me with open arms. The community itself is beautiful, clean and has amazing amenities thanks to the care of Wayne and Justin. The dog park on the side of the building is such a perk if you have a pup, the pool is an oasis, and any common areas are beautifully decorated. Now most apartments don't have a very interactive environment, but the three ladies plan the coolest events to entertain. I've done a online cooking class, online exercise class, had treats and drinks delivered to my door all during quarantine! The unit itself is spectacular. Huge windows, high ceilings, stainless steel appliances, shiplap accent doors and an open floor plan. I could not have picked a better place to live, with the most amazing group of people working here. So thank you Ellison on Broad for making me feel welcome in my new home!

Ironically, it was the first place I toured, and it became the benchmark of comparison for all of the other places. Beyond the amenities, I was just very impressed by the staff. Allison originally met with my mom and I, and as a pair, we can be a lot! We had many questions, and she not only knowledgeable and patient, but her energy was just awesome! She made me feel right at home with her approachability, and she was just energetic, friendly and somebody I am excited to hopefully see in passing when I move in; overall we enjoyed meeting her as much as we did viewing the unit itself! Fast forward, after having view many other apartments, this was by and large my favorite, so we came back to visit a week later with some follow-up questions more specific to availability and leasing, and she was happy to help. She even let us tour the unit again to give us a refresher after having seen so many places. On behalf of my mom and I, "Thank you Allison!!" :) I've also had the pleasure of meeting over the phone and via email with Marissa, who is equally wonderful. She was able to walk me through the application, and because I am not local, even was willing to facetime with me to view the steps of the application to ensure I did everything correctly. She was prompt in all of her follow-ups, and I truly appreciate her help. The energy and vibes from the building as well as its staff are fantastic, and this being said before having even moved into the apartment. Thanks so much, ladies!! I can't wait to move in and see ya'll on a regular basis!
