Alright, so I knew this was as much a roll of the dice to ask for Mexican food in Germany as asking for a schnitzel in Mexico. But, wow, was this horrible. The nachos were cold chips covered in unmelted shredded cheese, drizzled with some sort of green sauce and garnished with 4 jalapeño rings. I ordered the enchiladas and they consisted of 2 of those 3-for-a-buck-broke-college-dorm frozen burritos covered in sour cream. They were not nuked all the way through and were cool in the center. Those were 11€. A fly landed on my food and I shooed it away for it's own good. Service was negligent, at best, but whatever, that was the least of my gripes with this meal. We came in for happy hour to grab a margarita and chips waiting for another place to open up. 4,90 margarita that was slightly watered down but ok. They use refined salt and quite a lot for the rim. Not pleasant. We got the chips and dip for 2 and were served 4 tiny little cups of different dips that tasted good w big basket of chips. My issue is the 1.5oz of dip. Seriously?! I don't want American portion size but tiny portion is bit extreme. Based on other reviews I would try food but happy hour left me little disappointed. read more

Enchilada - Mexican Near Me - Kaiserslautern, RP

Wow! This is the best Mexican food in the Kaiserslautern area. The location is in the walking district downtown, but close enough to the street that you don't have to walk too far. The servers speak great English and English menus are available. The menu is not traditional compared to Mexican restaurants in the U.S. However, everything we had was delicious. We ordered the chips a dips for an appetizer (seasoned tortilla chips, small salsa, small sour cream, small guacamole, and small queso). My husband had the beef fajitas. I had the enchilada trio. It was more like burritos because there is no enchilada sauce, but still good. We also had their homemade iced tea. It was so, so good! On our second visit to Enchilada, I ordered the chimichanga. I liked it even better than the enchiladas. I ordered a side of queso to pour over the top. We highly recommend this place!! read more

I enjoy going to Enchilada. The food is a bit expensive but the quality is good. Its not the type of Mexican food that we are use to but It's more like mexican food with more of a modern twist. The drinks are delicious but a bit on the small side. I have tried several different dishes and I enjoy the enchiladas most. The location of the restaurant is in a good area and we like the restaurant so much that we drive 30 minutes to get there. Overall, we would visit again! read more

Just went for some drinks to go the the evening. The service was great and the drinks were pretty good. Had different margaritas at the table and all drinks were on point. We also ordered some churros for the table. I want to ch Co this place out for dinner one day. I will update the review but so far excellent. read more

The dish I ordered was well prepared and really delicious. It was very filling. I ordered the pulled pork tacos, with a side of chips and dip. Highly recommend this dish. On the other hand the service in the restaurant was slow. My waitress wasn't very attentive. read more

The wife and I got the mix chips and dip. Dips were a little strange but the chips were very tasty by themselves. I got the classic margarita and it's the best in the area. Similar to what I've had in Mexico so spot on. My wife got the salted caramel margarita...you read that right and no it's not great. She also got pollo tacos that were delicious. Wanted to grab some margaritas and chips as a quick snack in town. Bad choice. Drinks were watery and resembled lemon water, rather than margaritas. Chips were heavy and coated in paprika. Dips were horrendous and came in microscopic, disposable cups. We also asked for patron in the drinks and they ripped us off on the premium. And no queso on the menu! Really?? AVOID. read more

The food is okay as long as you don't expect north American Mexican food. I was always a fan of Papasote (now closed after 36 years) and Cantina Mexicana as they do a better job in the kitchen. The location is beautiful and convenient when downtown. I felt sorry for the staff as there are a lot of untrained employees who have been setup for failure. During our last visit I believe we have seen every staff in the shop and nobody was really assigned to our table. The staff was making basic mistakes such bringing drinks and not clearing the empty dishes, walking around with full trays not knowing what goes on which table. I flagged down a young gentleman holding my water on a tray looking around utterly lost trying to figure out where it belonged. The beer was room temperature and all the way around it was a shit-show to watch these guys. They seemed very disorganized which could easily be fixed. Establish a system and try to anticipate what the customer wants (another beer sir? could the beer I am pouring/carrying be too warm?). read more

Food was good. Tex-Mex style. Unfortunately we had terrible service from a waiter (guy that wears glasses). He was very rude to us! When we first walked in, he asked if we had a reservation. I said no and there was a long pause (he just stared at us). I asked if they took reservations only and he said "No, but if you look on every table there's a reservation sign" and started pointing his finger at each table. After he did that, he said we can sit up front by the window since that table wasn't reserved (why couldn't he just say that in the beginning?!). He had an attitude when he took our order. I was looking for the bathroom and he pointed around the corner telling me it's downstairs. When I couldn't find the stairway to the bathroom, he was like "I said it's over there!" Note to self: bathroom stairway is on your left side between a circular black wall before you get to the bar. It can easily be missed. He never came back to the table to ask how everything was after we got our food (which was fine with me because I just couldn't stand him anymore). I would love to eat there again but the experience we had makes me not want to. That waiter needs an attitude check. read more
