We feel such great comfort in knowing that our daughter will be treated like one of their own and will be safe at all times. We transferred from another daycare due to not feeling this same sense of comfort there. We have also seen such tremendous growth in all areas of development and I really think this is a testament to the Montessori style of learning and the school overall. The class ratios are also small, meaning more attention and personalization for each student. As a self proclaimed helicopter parent, I was surprised at how much ease I felt with her starting a new school. I also feel heard every time I bring something up to a teacher or Sadhana that we have been trying at home or with occupational therapy. There is nothing like it in the area, in my opinion- Sadhana and the teachers create opportunities to build community with other parents and not only a casual wave in a hall. The school is small, with three preschool/kindergarten rooms and a toddler room. The wonderful staff is led by the Director, Ms. Sadhana Arun, who is a smart, loving woman who really understands and implements the Montessori philosophy beautifully. My first clue that this was a supportive and welcoming place was watching all the children race up and hug Ms. Sadhana as each one left for home in the afternoon. The teachers know all the children's names and because all the rooms are mixed age, there is an amazing sense of community among all the children who attend, that I haven't seen at any other pre-school/daycare. Our daughter blossomed at Hilliard Montessori. She gained amazing self-confidence, as well as math, science, and reading skills. She also developed a strong sense of her own ability to affect positive change in the world around her. I also appreciated the diversity of both the teaching staff and the families who attend the school. There are so many cultures, languages, and backgrounds represented. The family potlucks and celebrations were like world travel, without leaving home. My only regret is that my daughter has now aged out of their program and she can't continue to be a daily member of this loving community and learn from such amazing teachers. We love it here and would recommend them to anyone! The staff is really accommodating and has been really easy to work with. They do have some teacher turnover, but unfortunately that happens at every single daycare. When it does happen, it's been communicated to us and a replacement is there almost immediately. I feel very comfortable leaving our little girl there. She really enjoys it and is starting to really bond with her teachers. I've never doubted the level of care or compassion each of the teachers has displayed. They've helped me along as a first time mom on what sorts of things to bring in and when. They don't bat an eye when I've asked silly questions or when we have forgotten spare clothes for the second day. I honestly can't say enough nice things about them.

I followed the instructions provided to go to a different door for a walk-in fridge and not go to the front door. I accidentally opened TWO incorrect doors while looking for the one with the fridge. Both of them were unlocked, opened without any effort. One of them giving access to the "gym" and the other to a classroom full of children sitting. Unlocked. If you do bring your kids here, please ask some questions and get this policy changed. Seems quite unsafe and unmonitored to me.

My husband and I enjoy the fact that he has learned so much both academically and socially. He has learned a variety of skills from counting to sharing. My daughter has just started in the infant room and it puts my mind at ease knowing that when I go to work, I can leave my 6 month old in a center that is geared towards meeting her needs and making her feel loved. The staff is more than accommodating to the needs of my children and do a fantastic job at making my kids feel welcome. My son loves dropping his lunch off with Miss Judy every morning, and he is always greeted with kindness and excitement. The building is clean and safe which was very important when my husband and I were initially choosing a center. No one can even enter the building with out a code. I also love the location, not only because it's so close to home, but because it's literally right next door to Harrison Street Elementary so once my son is old enough to attend school he can be safely transported to and from school as well as participate in Great Beginnings' before and after school care program. Both my husband and I are looking forward to being with the center for a very long time and seeing all of the things our children learn through their experiences there.

I have seen the managers getting after the teachers for doing their job. There was a teacher today that I saw working hard and got yelled at for not being with her class even though she was. They take out their stress on teachers and I hate seeing it as a former teacher myself, especially after seeing it happen almost daily! No wonder they are starting to have so many teachers leave!! We love my son's teacher but are tempted to leave after seeing how they treat others. I usually see it in the evening with one of the staff that is new to management when it comes to the yelling at multiple teachers. The only reason I am staying at this point is because we paid for summer camp and my son loves his B group teachers. The only way I will be staying past summer is if the management starts treating their staff like people and caring for them instead of yelling at them for going the extra mile and helping their peers out, which I have noticed quite a bit. On top of it all, the place is messy! I have seen vents full of dust, teachers sweeping but the floors looking like they need mopped for once, and others just pushing through their day without cleaning up the food off the floor. Gross! I know I may not have the same experience as everyone else, however I know my experience needed to be placed so others know what they are walking into. Especially after talking with other parents who have seen the issues as well!

My little one has been going to Primrose for a few months now (he is in the older infant class-15…read moremonths old). He has learned so much while he has been there, I do not consider this a daycare but truly a school. Primrose uses an app called Tadpoles, this is an all digital system, so no paper filling out, everything you put in (last diaper change, last meal etc) goes into your phone app and directly to the school. The reports and messages from the school comes to your phone as well, they even send pictures as well, which is nice to see how your child is doing during the day. They also offer another app as well that is your child's class music you can download to your phone as well and listen to anytime! Primrose sticks to a schedule of meal times, activities etc, which is great. Though right now, we are still living on the other side of town and sometimes cut the breakfast time a little close. But, if we are running late, we can call and they will ensure my little one gets breakfast. The admin staff are great, they knew my name right after I took the tour and continue to be very accommodating and nice when we call, no matter the reason. The curriculum for the kids is great, on the app, I see everything my child has learned that day, they also send home things you can further assist your child in learning that fits into the weekly learning plan. I would recommend this school for anyone who is considering a great school for their child. Though the wait time can be longer, put in your name as things change and your child may be able to get in before the usual waiting period.
