Great starter apartments and affordable for when one needs to move in quickly. Maintenance gets 5stars they respond quickly to every single maintenance call. Rene in maintenance is a true professional. It is a Family orientated community with a elementary school across the street and quick access to I-10 freeway and Fred waring. Occasionally a weird walker by walking outside at odd hrs at night but that's Indio and everywhere else. Sometimes it's entertaining!! ‍ Great starter apartments. Neighbors are friendly. No roaches. Wood tiled floors through out. Clean. Pleasant environment. Angelica and her team are the best I've ever had, because they care about their job and keep their tenants happy as can be. A faulty, non-code-compliant water-heater installation led to mold / water damage, forcing our family to live elsewhere for over two weeks. The City of La Quinta issued a Cease-and-Desist / Stop Work Order, yet management still charges full rent and utilities while part of our home remains sealed off under a mold-containment tent. We've received no lab results or proof that our unit is habitable, and communication from management has been nearly nonexistent. This is unacceptable and unsafe for any paying tenant. We are reserving all rights under California Civil Code § 1941.1 and § 1942, which require landlords to keep units habitable and give tenants remedies when they do not. I thought it was very important for me to get on here today to express how much me and my family love living here and how we have enjoy our residency here. It's clean it's quiet. It's safe and I couldn't ask for more. But the real reason I'm in here today is 2 rave about the management team as well as Martha the manager I have not had too many encounters with Martha personally but with the maintenance team, I've interacted plenty of times. I really want to give credit where credit is due, and that is with Martha the manager this morning. I recently was injured at work and had to file a Workmen's Compensation case in which the delay has been ridiculous. I was put in a financial bind to where I was going to risk, losing one of my automobiles due to no payment and unable to pay or being late on my apartment due to being unable to pay. I explained to Martha my situation and that I would not be able to have the rent money for them until the sixth of the month. Mind you after the third of the month is a late payment. I spoke with Martha and she heard me out and made me feel like she understood never once interrupted me. She let me finish talking and by the sound of her voice, I felt relieved of her being very understanding. Although Martha could not avoid the late fee for my rent. Her understanding of my situation surpassed that. Martha, thank you so much to you and Mirabella team. You guys are amazing and I love living here. You guys keep up the amazing work. We appreciate you. I I ended up figuring things out and got the rent paid on time. I think it's because of the good vibes. Martha said off. Call me superstitious but that's what I think. Five stars for Breah, and zero stars for Junior, who does maintenance…read more The Good: Breah was wonderful from my first phone call of inquiry to when I moved out nearly two years later. Breah goes out of her way to be available and of assistance to the residents. Any time I emailed a maintenance request, there was always a response, often within a matter of minutes. There is a water aerobics class with an instructor, a monthly bagel breakfast, and other events throughout the month such as bingo, so that residents are able to meet and get to know their neighbors. All of these wonderful events are organized by Breah. The Bad: Junior has a most appropriate name. Instead of behaving like a 30 year old professional, he acts like a moody and petulant adolescent. Several times we passed each other on the sidewalk and we are the only two persons there, and I would say, "Hello, Junior!" and he would make eye contact, look away, and not respond. This happened multiple times and I know that he is not hard of hearing. Junior does good work, but it is stymied by his lack of even minimal social skills. The Ugly: Junior also takes it upon himself to lecture residents who are more than twice his age on how he thinks they should behave in a particular situation. Rude. Rude. Rude. All in all, Parkwood at Polo Grounds is a wonderful place to live if you can ignore Junior's infantile behavior. The residents are mostly friendly Baby Boomers, and Breah does everything possible to create a safe and fun place to call home.
