I own a multifamily property, and I recently installed solar panels and a new roof on my property with Empower Energy Solutions. I had my final inspection by the city of Meriden, and I learned from the inspectors that they only installed one solar panel unit for the 2nd-floor unit and not for the 1st Floor, which makes no sense as this is a multifamily house. I contacted my Empower Energy Solutions representative and informed him that I only got a solar unit for the 2nd Floor and nothing for the 1st Floor. He told me I verbally agreed to that, which I did not verbally agree to this, and I disagreed with him because it would not make sense to have only solar for one unit and not the other. In addition, before installing my roof, they sent me a text with the blueprint, which showed that the roofs on the house and garage were getting replaced, and they also confirmed this through text. Then, my representative called me with an attitude, questioning where I got this information from. I felt he thought I was making it up, so I sent him screenshots of the text messages. In the end, only my house roof got replaced. Initially, this company comes across as resourceful, pleasant, and beneficial. Their selling point is the Federal Solar Tax Credit, which they told me I qualified for after they reviewed my tax returns. However, when I contacted the finance company, they noted that that's not guaranteed. This was the worst experience I have ever had, and I would never recommend or refer Empower Energy Solutions. read more

Empower Energy Solutions is a company that is not transparent, and their customer service is the worst. They don't pick up the phone to speak with you, all their communication is done through text messages. I am incurring more cost now with the solar system installed that when I didn't have Solar. No one from Empower Energy Solutions told me that the system could only work with one meter. I realized when it was already too late that I needed to consolidate the two meters into one to be able to get any credit. Now I have to spend more money hiring an electrician to do this work. And when I asked Empower Energy Solutions to do an assessment requested by the electrician I hired, they denied my request and said that they were too busy and for me to look elsewhere for a certified solar technician and wished me a good day which was very sarcastic on their part. I could not believe what I was reading; to remind you, this is thru text messages, they don't pick up the phone and to call you and give you an explanation. Not once have they call me to apologize for not communicating the facts to me and tell me that I needed to do a few things first before they could do the installation, all they care about is getting people to sign a contract with them and call it a day, they don't care about anything else and that is very frustrating. Please I urge everyone to read this review and please do not do business with Empower Energy Solutions, they are the worst company you could ever deal with! I would never recommend them. read more

I had three days after signing a contract via a mailed cancelation letter, and the form was provided in the contract. Except the address given on the cancelation letter was wrong, so my cancelation notice was sent back to me as undeliverable. How much do you want to bet that was deliberate? Filled with LIES! Panels have been installed for almost 3 months now and still not working. I call them to try to get updates seeing how they don't call me and they say they will call me back... which they don't. They have been paid in full which I told there finance not to pay them until job was inspected but they did anyways. They are the biggest disappointment in a solar company. They is now a bunch of reviews on the same scenario on how they install, get paid, and then don't finish the job. Don't become another victim and tr5 your chances elsewhere. There is also cosmetic issues to which I brought up to there attention the day of installation and went on deaf ears.. such as different color Panels, no end caps, and dipping Panels ( no its not a rafter issue) they over tightened the panel. read more
