Was happy with initial install of granite even though I paid higher than the estimate (explained…read morebelow). Took longer than expected and was never quite sure when they would be here until a call to say they were on the way. They quoted me a great price to do my back splash and flooring so we went ahead do a few extra with our kitchen which is why we ended up paying more. Fine. Except they never came back to do my floor or back splash. I called once and they would get back with me. They called a couple of mornings later to say they were sending out some random guy that we haven't been working with, and on top of that we were all sick with the flu. I wasn't a good day. Asked if they could call me with another day when the guy that was doing our job was available. Didn't hear anything for over a week. I called back got an apology and was told they would look at the schedule and call me back....6+weeks later, nada! They took the money for the granite install and left my kitchen without a back splash and my floor tore up from where my counters were re-positioned. Totally bummed. Apparently they don't need business. I was completely patient and accommodating. Residential customers are shoved behind corporate/builder jobs!

My 17 yo 50 gal electric water heater went out the other night. I called 4 different plumbers to…read moreget estimates/prices for a replacement water heater and was given a wide range of answers. Most of them told me they really needed to come out and see what we already have and the space etc. and a couple of them was able to give me basic starting prices. So I set it up for them to come and look at what I have and the area one at a time. What is so upsetting is that I still believe I was never told of the trip fee of $99 to just come give me a quote that Korte charged me. Korte was the first ones to get here so when they left after doing absolutely nothing but look at area and give a couple quotes I called the other 3 companies to make sure they didnt charge for a quote and none of the other 3 did. I called Korte and was told a manager would call me back and they did in about 1 hour. He told me I was told about the 99 trip fee on the initial call and tbh I think I would have remembered that seeing that I am on a limited income. So be careful when/if you do business with this company, be sure to ask about trip fees for price quotes. The manager told me that the person that does price quotes would have taken a long time to get here so I guess they took it upon themselves to sent out a qualified technician and get the 99 trip fee. Not a great way to do business if you ask me, it seems they are trying to force you to do business with them by this so called trip fee . What is upsetting the man only gave quotes and and that is all he did, he didnt diagnose or even move or touch anything. I will never be calling on this company again, be careful if you do, get arre charges up front and be sure of what will be charged before they come out. Why does 1 out of 4 companies I called have this fee? Thats 75% that dont charge it so why do they feel they need to do this to people? Its bad business plain and simple. How many other people have had this done to them and feel as ripped off as I do right now, knowing I told them I was on a limited income. I guess at 72 I was too trusting of people, this wont happen again.

I told them I was never told I would have to pay shipping. So they got the owner and he then told me the shipping was actually $70. They did nothing to make things right or even offer to split the cost with me. I recommend getting your flooring from someone who treats customers right and is honest with you.
