Went into Central Supply looking for some help with a bad smell to our hot water coming from our…read morehot water heater. I was told to get a Zinc Anode Rod to kill the smell from our hot water. I purchased this rod, per their recommendation, installed it and the smell got so much worse....practically unbearable anytime we ran the hot water. I decided to give it some time, but, the smell kept getting worse. Finally, I removed the Anode Rod and took it back to Central supply wanting either a refund or exchange for a new rod. They would NOT do either. I am out the money. This company will NOT stand behind their products. I went home and put a plug into the water heater, instead of using the rod, and the smell was almost gone! Talked with the owners of a Well drilling company and Septic company, both told us that Anode rods make water smell worse, and to leave them out. The reason for the Anode rod is to trap bacteria and sediment to help keep the hot water heater from corrosion. Everyone we have spoken to since this situation, said their water heaters did fine without them. However, a person would need to use a rod the first 5 years after purchasing a hot water heater or the manufacturers of the water heaters will void the warranty. Ours is 5 years old, so we will not use an anode rod ever again, nor will we ever do business again with Central Supply.

The database is primitive and they offer no modern tools for tracking anything. There are far superior programs available with equally low commission rates but with better tools to help you reach sales goals. The Tile Bar is one, Ferguson Builds, Wayfair and Floor & Decor are just a few. My commissions should be easy to payout. There is no customer satisfaction to be concerned with and TTS shop is paid immediately in most situations. They told me that the local stores have to "click a button" to get the commision active in the payroll and it is often over looked, effectively passing the blame to the local local level. Im not a pass the blame kind of guy, however and this to me is unacceptable. what it means is you can not escalate issues, there is no where to escalate them to. On my commissions, they did send a direct deposit to my bank in April of this year. However, it was not for all commissions, only one, from June 2025. They addressed it to my domain name; not, my name, not the payee: or pay to: lines in their database, which is managed by paymentworks. How this could happen is beyond me but my bank refused the transfer because it was not addressed to me. My bank notified me within milliseconds. so I am sure they were notified as well. After a couple weeks I contacted them again, and they said it was my fault, that i needed to update my information in the database. So i went to do so and found everything to be correct. Furthermore my domain is not included in the information at paymentworks. The only place you can find Phlattile.com is in their own rewards account area, where it is listed as the billto: entitty. So I asked that they send it again but with the right name, they said they would look into it, and a month later i got a check - addressed to my domain name. I called na dasked if i coiuld just take the check to the local store and have thekk cash it and thehy said no, now its the first of June 2026. So I call to tell them I can't do anything with the check - for only one commission mind you, I have to go through all of this a few more times to get the rest. I was told i had to wait for the payroll cycle, on the 18th, and that they hope this would be the last they heard about it. The 19th I call, they said they were sending a check. I asked again if they could direct deposit it and they said no. I asked for a tracking number and they said they would look into it. Today is June 23rd 2026, and still no check.

They come to your home and discuss what you want and then draw the plan out for you to see. I also went to the nursery & garden center to pick out the bricks from their inventory. Even this late in the season, they had a great supply available. They even allowed me to bring a few bricks home with me to be sure of my color choice. The brick installation was very professionally done by experienced crew. They even created the curve that I wanted to soften the area from all straight lines. My goal was to create a place to have friends over to dine outdoors and to be able to enjoy the afternoon sun rays from my chaise lounge. I had several driftwood roses planted and a couple of Rose of Sharon bushes and 5 arborvitaes for my privacy hedge. The trees provided the privacy that I wanted, too. The crew was friendly, efficient & professional. I've had a lot of people stop by to say how much they love the work and how great it looks. I've lived in many different places in Fort Wayne and have had Galbraiths' design and install all my landscaping.

His team did a nice job with the landscaping, but I haven't received two pieces of art I ordered as finishing touches: a pagoda for $595 and "the woman with the bowl" for $185. Joe said it would take a month to get these items, and I agreed. When a month passed with no update, I called his office and was told it would take another two weeks. After waiting again, I called to schedule delivery and found out neither piece had arrived nor was on its way from China. I heard many excuses, but I still gave Joe another three weeks. Today, when I called, I was told there was another issue, and it would be two or three more weeks. Feeling deceived, I asked for my money back. I was told Galbraith could only refund $185, not the $595 for the pagoda, because it was a special order, even though both items were "so-called" special orders, meaning they are not in the regular inventory. I ordered both from a catalog Joe gave me, but they would only refund the smaller amount. A staff member told me I would have to wait even longer for the pagoda, but could not say when it would arrive. I was treated as if I should shut up, go home, and wait. No one apologized. Instead, a woman came out of an office to shame me and blamed their importer. She acted as if I should accept the situation. When I ordered the two statues, no one told me I could not get a refund or cancel the order. I never signed anything saying that. I want my money back. I am 80 years old and know Galbraiths has not been honest with me. They think I am not sharp because of my age, but that's not true. One staff member tried to intimidate me, but I made it clear I am neither senile nor stupid, even though she spoke to me in a condescending tone. I wanted to tell her she was being rude, but decided not to; she was too uneducated to know better. Whoever parented her did not teach her respect for older folk. I plan to contact the Better Business Bureau and share my experience on social media to let others know how Galbraiths treats its customers, especially seniors. I will also file a small claim against them. I'm not responsible for their issues with suppliers in China or shipping; they tried to make it mine. They refused to refund my money. I'm concerned this nursery may be having financial trouble, as they have not refunded a product I no longer want, and I've waited almost three months. They have pagodas on display, but they are too small for my project. I am sure when my pagoda finally arrives, Mr. Joe can sell it in his nursery; he is a clever salesman. Galbraiths sells this type of art, so it is not really a special order. If that's the case, the long wait is their responsibility, not mine as the customer. I do not recommend Galbraith's Nursery.
