It was thrown into a machine with regular clothes and treated no differently than a regular cotton tee. Very distressing. I can't be certain that they caused it but they didn't fill me with confidence when I spoke to them about it. They actually showed no concern at all for how the item was handled. I don't even know if they know what gray and cashmere is. The blossom Road location told me I might have better luck at their location when the owner is around. I like to think that maybe I caused the tear myself by accident by not being careful. I'm going to go to Eagles in Penfield just to be safe because this whole situation was really upsetting for me. The shirt costs too much for the business to replace. I should have documented the condition of the shirt before sending it in. I'm going to have my special clothing cleaned elsewhere to be safe. I have had no issues with letting them handle my Italian wool suits.

We found it to be clean, bright, and well-equipped, with everything we could possibly need -- tons of washers and dryers in different sizes (washers were about $3.50-$7.50, depending on load size, with cycles that were fast but thorough) wheeled baskets and folding tables, relaxing chairs, an ATM and change machine, a kids' play area, WiFi and coffee! They even had items we'd forgotten, available at reasonable prices (e.g., 10 coated wire hangers for $1). Laundry Day was a genuinely pleasant place to take care of an unpleasant chore.

Additionally, I was charged two separate $150 site visit fees ($300 total) for a single job that was split into multiple visits for their scheduling convenience. Despite a verbal agreement to provide the main parts 'at cost,' since I already had them ready to order, the final invoice included significant markups on basic cleaning and truck supplies like towels and buckets. When I reached out to discuss these discrepancies in good faith, suggesting compromise, the response was defensive and included immediate threats of late fees on a first-time invoice that was actively being contested. PitStop reduced the invoice by $50 as "good faith". After I itemized out a compromise between what I was led to expect and what was invoiced, I was ghosted. After waiting a few weeks and following up with no response, I chose to pay the invoice in full simply to close the matter, but I strongly advise other property owners to get a binding written contract and a capped labor quote upfront before any work begins.

He asked a bunch of questions then made some suggestions as to what we might try first. We did and called him back. Based on what we told him at that point, he made some final suggestions and asked that I call him back and let him know how that worked out. We did what he said and the pump worked great. I called him back to say thank you and ask how much I owed him and he chuckled and said you don't owe me anything, but that if plumping needs arise in the future to think of him. I absolutely will look to Mertec for any future needs as well as recommend them to anyone in need. Our fix was simple for people that have some basic mechanical knowledge. Their Service Manager, Tara Barnhart, advised that a tech would be sent out shortly. The tech spent 3 hours of troubleshooting over 3 visits. Tara contacted me by phone and advised that the tech was unable to identify the cause of the failure, and more troubleshooting was required. She advised that the cost to date was $1000 and would I like to continue. She advised that the problem could be fuel related, stepper motor/mixer, the controller or something else. She advised getting a new generator and would like to schedule an appointment. I told her that I thought that the technician's analysis was poor, to stop troubleshooting and to invoice me. I received an invoice for $995.00 with the Note: "Replaced fuel solenoid and brushes, generator still not running properly. Technician recommends replacing fuel regulator and stepper motor/mixer assembly and possibly controller or replacing entire unit." Before the tech's analysis and part swapping, the unit would start, run a few seconds, shutoff. After the tech's analysyis and part swapping, the unit would start, run a few seconds, shutoff. The tech changed nothing and gave me a useless diagnosis for $1k. I had another tech examine the unit. He discovered within 15 minutes of visual inspection that the controller was fried, possible due to the lightning storm. He also discovered that a fuse in the transfer switch was blown. These two items were not discovered by FLPS. Avoid this company!
