Cooked to order on their big round grill
Chat C.

I didn't expect to go into a Chinese restaurant, buffet style, where the food is made to order [as I did zero research before coming here] This location allows you to choose your starch, vegetables, and raw meats (thin strips of chicken, beef, pork, scallops, shrimp) into a bowl with your preference in sauces prior to loading it up on a round grill where they use huge chopsticks to mix it all up and cooked to palatable. They also have a dessert bar and fried foods on another bar. Bottom line: for an adult dinner, it's $9.95 and according to their website, their lunches are $6.95. You really can't beat that for kind of average Chinese food, especially in a buffet setting. Not the best quality, but better in quantity for maximal stuffing of face

First time here for military get-together and the food here is delicious. Tasteful mongolian buffet and good customer service. Not a bad place but not the best place for an asian cuisine. Try it out and you won't be disappointed.

We went here for dinner while visiting family. For the first time it was alright. They seated us right away and took our drink order along with what type of rice we'd like and if we wanted sesame bread. They didn't ask if it was our first time or not so my husband asked how it worked. Found out it's buffet style, go pick up a bowl put what you'd like in it and tell them if you want it spicy or not. They ended up mixing mine up with another persons. After trying the food it was good but I decided to put white sauce on it. My husband really enjoyed the food. I believe it depends on your taste buds whether or not you will enjoy it. But the white sauce and sweet tea were definitely on point.

I love Mongolian BBQ and this is average. Pretty cheap fare but atmosphere is trash and the clientele is pure Goldsboro.

The food was good. The service was good. The atmosphere was chaotic. I enjoyed the variety, but am not certain I will visit often.

I love eating here. It's a healthy alternative to some of the other restaurants in the area. Easy to eat low carb for sure.

The positive reviews baffle me. Poor food, VERY poor service, and horrible atmosphere. I suggest dining somewhere else.

Reviews often times reflect individual preferences. I decided to proceed with finally giving Crazy…read moreFire Mongolian a try despite the poor reviews. The staff at the front desk was warm and welcoming. As for aesthetics, there is room for improvements. Needs brighter lighting. Crazy Fire Mongolian is a create your own fusion stir fry. Thoughts of cross contamination and meats sitting out was concerning. Upon arrival I looked over the bar. Everything appeared properly chilled directly on an iced Buffett station. The Raw meats were separate from the vegetables. Each item had its own utensils in its container. I went with the two bowls for 16.99. I used one bowl for meats. After cooked the grilling station individual added fried rice that I requested. My other bowl was for veggies with Lo Mein noodles. A veggie lo mein was my thought process. There was a decent variety of vegetables. I topped both bowls with light garlic oil and Mongolian sauce before taking it over to be cooked. Everything had a smoky grill flavor and it was mildly spiced since I didn't use much. I enjoyed it! I had plenty of leftovers that I brought home. The buffet bar: all of shrimp did not appear properly deveined. I do not recommend the shrimp. I enjoyed: spicy chicken , regular chicken, beef and pork. All were very good with my fried rice. I found that I needed more light directly above my table. It was very dim. Overall, no other complaints. I am glad I tried Crazy Fire and had my own experience. Crazy Fire was a quiet and offbeat vibe that I actually enjoyed. Two meals under $20 with leftovers is a real deal.

This is an interesting concept place…read more The hostess and servers were very nice. Concept is you pay for 1 bowl for $15 or 2 bowls for $18. You fill up each bowl with whatever meats, vegetables, sauces and seasonings they have available at the bar. You walk your raw ingredients to the Mongolian stove and they cook it for you. After it's cooked they will plate it for you and ask if you want white or brown (which I think is just simple rice just seasoned with soy) and hand you your plate and you can take it to your table to eat it. They had noodles on the bar so I did noodles and stuff first. The second time I just did protein and veggies and then got my rice after it was cooked and had fried rice. It's a decent price for decent food. I would possibly visit again.

Who doesn't love getting to construct your own tower of all of your favorite ingredients without being overwhelmed with too many choices and having to communicate it to another person? I remember being so strategic with my stacking, starting with meats and heavy veggies at the bottom and ending with the light bean sprouts and green onions on top. This has since not been as important since they changed the pricing to per pound. The only thing I wish they would change is the extra charge for tofu and that they could open a little earlier for lunch so I could beat the traffic to get there.

It's great bang for buck, close to campus, and most importantly, really kind staff and owners. It's a place that is home to many nostalgic college memories of eating with friends. Just wanted to highlight the last paragraph of my original review, because I think humanizing those who own these local businesses reminds me of why it's important to support them: "The waiting staff is always very nice, and last time I really saw how it's a great locally-owned restaurant! Admittedly, this is a little unconnected to the restaurant experience itself, but I feel it's still a reflection of the owner. My friends and I went to buy groceries after going to Bali Hai, and we ran into the owner in the ice cream aisle. She remembered us because we literally paid for our dinner 20 minutes before. She told us about the buy 2 get 3 free deal on the Breyer's ice cream, but we only wanted one tub. So, she paid for our carton with the four she was already going to buy (for her customer's grandkids)! Such a sweet woman who makes me want to keep supporting her business."
