They were very rude and unprofessional, never on time. The young girls they hired for dispatch were very snotty. That's probably why they closed up in Elmira. You must have good customer service to servive. read more

Never ever use Empire DM. They are rude, unprofessional and will treat your loved one like a package. They transported my mother home from Upstate Medical yesterday and then refused to bring her into home because if 4 steps. They had asked about steps up front and I had told them. They left the doors on vehicle open in freezing cold while they stood in road swearing. Thank goodness Hospice arrived and called for a lift assist. Bless Oneida Fire Dept for their assistance in such a kind caring way. read more

Don't use this transportation service! I had an appointment at the hospital and got finished @ about 4:30p.m. I called for my return ride I tried calling them the phone would ring then someone would pick up the receiver then hang-up...I called my insurance company and they got the same treatment. I after being up on hold with my insurance company until after 6:00 because no transportation company was still providing service or open my insurance company instructed to pay a cab then get reimbursed...well I did not have at least $40.00 for a cab....I started having panic attacks, I could feel my BP going up which didn't help bc my appointment was bc I had a Stroke several years ago.It was after 7:30p.m when I a lady seen me very set and she was leaving that she insisted on taking me home. read more

I use Empire to go to my medical appointments and I have to say I have never had a bad experience with them. The dispatcher JR and the driver Chris who usually drives me are both very nice and professional. They are always on time and the get me to my destination quickly and safely. I would reccomend using Empire if you have a choice for medical transportation. read more

My great aunt will be turning 101 years old in October. She lives at an assited living facility in the Syracuse area. She recently fell and injured her ankle. She was kept in the hospital and when she was released to a rehab wing at a local nursing home, my husband and I were out of town. We needed a way for her to get from the hospital to the rehab facility. I had heard about Empire and decided to use them for her transportation. Without being able to take her ourselves we needed a someone who could help her transition a bit easier. The staff at Empire was outstanding. They were accomodating, patient, kind, and treated her with the respect and dignity she deserved. I can not say enough great things about Empire! Anyone needing assisted transportation or wheelchair transportation should give them a call! read more

But they misinformed me that they could not use a local on my laceration because it was on my finger & the capillaries are too small. So with stitches off the table, I opted for glue. I found it odd that they didn't try to push the sides of the cut together. So as the glue wore off, I had a large open gash. I used steri-strips (left over from a previous surgery) to close the wound. Today at another dr appt, I asked my surgeon about using a local on fingers & he said that is ridicules & he noted that they absolutely should have stitched it. It is gonna be a bad scar. Luckily its just on my finger. Altho my first response to them was positive, as the wound heals, I'm seeing a bad outcome now.

The staff is courteous, responsive, and understanding; when we went through a rough time and lost our health insurance they offered us a discounted rate for visits. Dr. Soderberg is fantastic. When the kids were sick we were able to get same-day appts, sometimes with other doctors, but still great that we did not have to wait or end up at a more-expensive urgent care. Highly recommend this office as a primary care/ family doctor.
