Really bad service and manager in the store located at 10828 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060…read more I brought two down jackets for cleaning. After I picked them up, I discovered that the down filling inside both jackets had become severely clumped together in the corners of the quilted sections, leaving many areas with little or no insulation. As a result, the quality, appearance, and functionality of these jackets were significantly compromised. The manager repeatedly stated that the store could attempt to clean the jackets again but is not responsible for any damage or changes to the condition of the garments. Rather than discussing a reasonable resolution, he continued to repeat this position and spoke in a manner that I found unprofessional and dismissive. Thanks for your reply. The concern is that the manager has stated that the store will not accept responsibility or provide compensation for the damage already caused. Although he has offered to re-clean the garments, he has also made it clear that the store will not be liable if the jackets remain in the same condition or are further damaged afterward. Given that position, I do not believe it is reasonable to authorize another cleaning attempt. I am concerned that doing so could be used to argue that the store is no longer responsible for the existing damage if the condition does not improve to an acceptable level.

So, a pipe burst on Christmas morning in our upstairs bathroom, which flooded our laundry room…read moredownstairs. It's now been gutted out and we haven't been able to wash clothes since before Christmas, so of course we had to head to the laundromat. This is the closest one to where we live. It is really clean! The staff are constantly working, cleaning the machines cleaning the floors dumping out the trash etc. They have plenty of laundry carts to move your laundry from washer to dryer and then from dryer to folding tables. There are two bathrooms to change machines and a bill to Bill exchange machine. They even have two vending machines, one of snacks and one of sodas. There is another machine close to the front door that has a variety of different drinks and you take what you want and go to the office which is located in the back of the laundromat near the bathrooms to pay for what you got there a hand written signs around. They also offer a wash in food service and you pay by the pound. Their website says $1.40/lb. There are 2 tv's. The staff were very friendly. And I get that but then again damn what that what that what is a good but good one to pet you a good dog The washing machines range in size and price. Some of the machines are $2.75 and more for smaller loads. The next size up are $3.25 but if you changed it from light soiled to medium soiled then it was $4.00. I think the highest I paid for one of the machines was one of the bigger ones on the end of one of the islands and it was $5.00. The dryers are 0.25 cents for six minutes. Of course they have the standard vending machine if you forgot your soap & dryer sheets. Like I said, the staff were always cleaning, wiping down and sanitizing the tops of the machines, the handles and all the buttons on the front. Mopping the floors, I even saw them scrubbing the area where you put the soap and softener into the washers. Great place I'd come back for sure. I might try to drop off service with some of our blankets and sheets..

I have been using Rutland cleaners for the better part of the four years I've lived in the adjacent…read moreneighborhood. I quit patronizing them about a year and a half ago because I had a shirt ruined there. It was a brand new dress shirt, but apparently was *NOT* supposed to be dry cleaned due to the moisture wicking "sport" style material. However, I'd included with my other dress shirts and dropped it off, and the attendant did not question it or call it out when I dropped off my shirts. When I picked them up, the printed design was faded in many places. When I brought this up to the gentleman working (looks like the profile picture from "Mark" listed as the owner on Yelp), told me that it was my fault for dropping it off and anyone that would have dry cleaned the shirt would have had the same result, this he was not liable. I believe that the businesses I spend my money with should be experts at their craft (more so than I am at least), so I quit bringing my business here until recently. Last Friday i dropped off three shirts, needing them for a series of important events starting on Tuesday. I was told when I dropped them off that i was "lucky because the pick up guy is late so I can get these off today and have them back Monday at 5:30!" Monday at 5:00 when i arrived to pick them up the same attendant told me that I dropped them off at 5:46 on Friday and they wouldn't be ready until Tuesday. He then told me my shirts were Just picked up that (Monday) morning. I reminded him of what he'd said to me the Friday before about the driver being late and he responded "cmon man, I see a lot of people every day. I can't remember what I tell everyone." Theeeeeeeeen he remembers and starts a series of phone calls to the "other store," the driver, and the "warehouse" all looking for my shirt while helping other customers. After 15 minutes he tells me that my shirts will be done overnight and he can deliver them to my house in the morning. Unfortunately that wouldn't work as I'd be out of town, and yet again Rutland Cleaners has epically let me down. I picked up my own shirts without so much as an apology or coupon to come back again. This business will take your money and do an average to good job most of the time. If there is any sort of service or product related issue, I feel confident based on my experiences and the other reviews that the owners are far too profit driven to oblige in anything that resembles appropriate customer service.

I took it back immediately when they opened and the owner said no refund, only store credit or send off again. It already took a week to get back and when we did it was dirtier than it was when we brought it. It was already cleaned but we can't wash only dry clean because of the material. They offered to send off again and use harder chemicals and scrub harder but could damage my bedding more. The receipts do not say no refunds on there anywhere. Terrible business owners. Wrong is wrong. I took 3 comforters and 2 pillow shams and 1 sham and 1 comforter was dirty. I was only asking for refund on those 2 and they declined. When I originally called I was told the comforters are 19.99 each and then the price went up to 39.99 each when got there with them all. I should have known then this business was shady. They also had a horrible smell after picked up, almost like a cigarette! very disappointing how this was handled!
