For a Beauty school, this place is amazing!! The instructors and management were all super professional and friendly. You can tell they love their jobs and genuinely care for the students. First off my biggest complaint is the manager Lisa,. She is extremely rude and will tell you off in front of everybody and she doesn't care who hears it. A student lied about me taking a photo of my hair and she said I was taking a picture of her which I was not. This was after I complained about the student smelling like smoke. Lisa allows the students to go out and smoke and then work on your hair with cigarette smoke on their fingers Lisa cited with the student who lied about me taking a picture of her and then I was the one that got kicked out Under Lisa's instruction, I had to go back a few times and have my hair redone after the students messed it up. This happened several times. Remember the students are experimenting, so make sure you have a good instructor. And as long as rude Lisa is there I will not be going back., She is the worst I've ever met at a salon. Beware. read more

Took my daughter here for a haircut today and boy HUGE mistake . The student completely butchered her hair and the instructor was awful. Teacher tried to make it better by cutting it even shorter. She had such long beautiful hair and now completely chopped and awful looking. My poor daughter immensely started crying when we got home. Worst part of it was the instructor was SO RUDE! Had a spa mani/pedi and deep conditioner on my hair. Really inexpensive but was almost painfully awkward. Student said she finishes next month but I had to ask about simple steps in all my services. I don't know if they are not allowed to clip nails to shorten them or is she just chose to file and file and file? Pedicure chairs is uncomfortable and put in a corner. Whole pedicure process just uncomfortable and awkward. Price was great....took almost 3 hours...felt like I got what I paid for. May give it another try? read more

The lady who did my hair was incredible I love the finish result! And I have fun over all here however the management is lacking in customer service after sitting in the chair for 6 hours I stepped outside to grab lunch from my friends car after coming back in I was scolded for leaving the premises with dye still on my hair. There was no posted signs saying I was jailed when entering the premise so I was confused the mangers demeanor was enough to never want to come back. read more

I have gone here for years. The students cut your hair, so you take the hood with the bad. I like supporting the students. The cuts are better than most salons and they have instructors helping the students. The price is excellent and the services are numerous from waxing, pedicures to coloring and everything in between. Very disappointed as I waited almost two weeks to get my hair done they let me walk out with nothing. It was a very unprofessional visit and I feel lied to just to get me out. On January 4th at 6:45 I went in and wanted blonde they did a strand test and decided they wouldn't be able to finish in the time they were given. I then decided to try and work with them and do a brown instead. They washed out my hair and blowed dried it took a hour in a half. Then decide to come and ask me how long it's been since I've been there because they received new chemicals and they would have to do a patch test. They need to understand what they are putting people threw even though it's a school and there prices are lower we are still clients they should have noticed that at the beginning or even making the appointment. read more

I have come here a few times here and there for discount services. I'm going to "maybe" give this place one more chance hair wise because that was actually good the only time I had it done here, but I will NEVER go here for nails again, EVER! I've been here a couple times to get my nails done and EVERY SINGLE TIME the student is completely incompetent and EACH TIME actually told me that they were never even educated on how to actually DO the nails correctly, which I believe is the truth based off the poor nail jobs I have received. Is it me, or are these students not even getting an education in Aesthetics/Nails at all? I'm self taught and could do a FAR better job myself quite frankly, but I hate doing nails so that's why I'm paying to have it SOMEWHAT PROFESSIONALLY done. I personally had to tell the student how to do the shellac and it still peeled off within days. My pedicure was painted on like a 2 year old and I immediately changed the polish. They literally have ZERO selection of colors and the ones they do have are those cheap .99 cent polishes you can get at Walmart and they literally only had one professional polish by OPI that was a super ugly color (it's obvious it was bought on clearance). 1 extra star for a god hair experience, but for anything else I would go elsewhere. read more

The staff here is rude-- not only to customers but to their students. There is  definitely not a sense of learning going on. What I saw was a bunch of sarcastic eye-rolling from instructors when students asked valid questions or looked for some guidance. I have experience in the teaching arena, both at higher education and accrediting bodies as well as at the elementary level. It's obvious that while the instructors at this institution may know their stuff, they are NOT facilitating any real learning. As in the words of one of my favorite educators "you can't know what you haven't been taught." I felt awful hearing the demeaning manner a student was spoken to when they asked a question--right in front of me! I was shocked! And then when I thought there would be some intervention by what I assumed what the supervisor, it just got worse. Leadership is important and I was appalled at her bullying! Because that's EXACTLY how she behaved. Teaching should NEVER be about a power trip. This place needs to hire educators, not prima donnas who get off on thinking degrading a student is teaching. read more

I was pleasantly surprised, I made an appointment it took about 45 min, $10 plus tip for manicure and gel nails! I will be going back!

Starting with a seriously upbeat and genuinely warm reception by Tammy, I felt less fearful about taking a chance on a beauty school I knew nothing about. Went for color and needed to do a 24 hours skin test to see if I'd react, which I knew I wouldn't but whatever. Back in 24 hours for a single color; got Lois and the color she picked out was k-i-l-l-e-r best I've EVER had - maybe even better than I was born with. Checked over - my hair color I mean - by the manager and voila - color me serenely happy with the color, the colorist, the reception and the cost. I'll be back, bet yer life. read more

Usually this place isn't bad especially for the price but on Monday I received the worst haircut I've had in 10 years. I have been growing my hair out and the young lady who was cutting my hair was doing a fine job as I just needed a trim and my bangs cut. Then an instructor came over and ruined my bangs cutting them so short and not in a swoop like I asked. The young lady spotting this terrible cut stopped the instructor and got another one who then destroyed my hair. I had hair passed my shoulders now I have a mullet with what I can only describe as a bowl cut on top with the shorted layer about two inches long!! I'm furious! I look terrible and am having a hard time even leaving the house for work. I try to put it up but because it's so short I have to use a series of Bobby pins to just keep it up there. Called early in the day for two appts. Only one was recorded. When asked if another stylist was avail to take me was the director informed me she was trying to cover 4 students who no showed that evening. The funny thing was there was no less than 3 stylists wandering aimlessly thru shop the whole time or playing with mannequin heads as I sat waiting for my daughter. Then about halfway thru the visit she magically found a space for another walk in sitting in lobby. I used to frequent this school and had decided to give them another chance. Needless to say that won't happen again. read more
