Gerber's quote was the most reasonable and pretty much spot on as far as the estimate my insurance company suggested as well. I first brought my car to the Gerber location in Decatur and the customer service rep was very helpful! She was courteous, understanding and very transparent about how the process would go. I ended up bringing by car to this location because it's closer to where I live. I dropped my car off on a Monday morning and received it back the following week on Tuesday afternoon. I received a packet with instructions on how to car for my car the next 30 days (I had a paint job done over the affected areas as well) and an itemized list of the cost of parts/ labor cost etc. Overall I'm glad my baby is fixed! I'm glad this experience was hassle free and I knew exactly what to expect while my car was in the shop. UPDATE: I should add that I have total full body coverage for my car insurance. So either way I pay my $500 deductible and that's it. I did look over the details of my receipt and saw the final price of the work done was DOUBLE what the estimate was. Ultimately it made no difference in what I paid (because I only paid my deductible). However, I'm sure my insurance company wasn't too thrilled with that.
