We've been going here for the last 6 years at least: Yes, they charge $40 when you reserve a slot but it gets deducted from the cost of your tree purchase. The farm is nice and we'll maintained. Staff is friendly. Its dog friendly. It's not overwhelmingly full since they control the crowd with timed entries. They have people over by the parking to help tie your tree to the roof. Again, super friendly and helpful. Coming here is also a great way to support a local business. I suggest you read their website before visiting. It's a you pick farm. So you cut it, you haul it. It's a fun activity for the family.

Another memorable year picking our tree at Emmerich!! We wanted something VERY different from what we normally do this year. We wanted an "imperfect" tree and man did we find the most perfectly, imperfect one! I will say it was a challenge, lol. Most of the tress are so beautiful. We had to walk the entire property but found what we wanted! Thanks for another wonderful experience!!

this was our second year, I have to say it just the most beautiful time. Regardless what people say about paying 40 dollars to "get in". The tree picking experience is just awesome. Really brings out the holiday cheer! People are very nice. Trees are great. The setting is on a mountain looking down at the trees, the workers are very knowledge and can tell you how to pick your tree and anything else you need to know. Yes you do pay a $40 deposit for your tree ahead of time, but it goes towards your purchase. They had a food truck this year and a little shop were you pay for your tree plus cute Christmas decor for purchase. We'll keep coming back every year for the cute tradition.

Headed there this weekend, 12/7, with my husband and two year old. They have hundreds of trees yet we couldn't find one to chop down! We literally walked the entire farm and weren't the only ones who had this issue as we heard from other patrons the same complaint. They were all either way to small or had large holes which could not be hidden. My husband cut down the tree and no one was around to help bring it up to the netting area. He dragged it up the hill and he bought it to one table but was told Was the wrong one and had to move it himself. This tree was $90! The hot cocoa was very watery which would have been the only silver lining!

First time visiting Emmerich Tree Farm last year. Had a great experience and loved all the little details they put in to make it a memorable time. The tree stump ornament with the year was a cute take away and hot coco by a fire was a nice addition! Definitely had to really look for a decent sized tree but brought home a nice one that lasted the whole season & we are not the best about watering. Overall great experience and plan on returning this year!

Great selection of Xmas trees. You can choose a precut tree or go out to cut one down yourself. They will net it up & provide twine so you an strap it to your car roof. They sell the tree bases as well. It is a great adventure day out and you can sit in front of a log fire by the pavilion and have hot cocoa and a cookie before you start the journey home. Be prepared to tie the tree to your car roof yourself though & make sure you get enough twine to secure your tree & ask for advise!

Such a great experience. The staff was friendly, and there were plenty of trees to choose from. It is a beautiful tree farm. They allow dogs to come along, so it really is a great place to make family memories.

Ugh, our little tree was $67 (6-7 feet) I was shocked! But, it was beautiful! Gorgeous drive to get there and then amazing mountain views. Staff falling all over themselves to help you. Hot cocoa and cookies (at least that's free!), fire pit, and a food truck! When you walk through the rows of trees the aroma of oranges is in the air because the major type of tree they grow is the type whose sapp has a citrus smell to it. So many beautiful vistas for a nice family picture and nice families willing to snap a pic for u if u snap a pic for them. Hayrides right from your car and and then back with your tree. No pressure to tip, you just put what you can in a little jar where they wrap the tree up for you. Now that I've listed all of this the experience they gave our family was worth the $67! You only need money for the tree (they take credit card) and cash for the food truck. We didn't eat there, but I overheard that the staff voted for this food truck and the food is yummy!

Now that the kids are older, I heard that they have events for adults at night during fall weekends. I went Saturday night and really enjoyed myself. My wife did also, we made this event our date night and will most likely be back either on a date or with friends. All of the employees were extremely nice and the farm was lit up and decorated beautifully. The choices of food and drinks (alcohol and nonalcoholic) were great. Each food and beverage option was clearly thought out by the owners to make their guests get into the Autumn and Halloween season. There is a gift shop that is filled with country items and different little knickknacks and tasty bites. You enter through the store, so I would recommend buying your stuff before your night begins so they do not run out of stock. There were fires pits and a band that played all night. The band was perfect! They were not loud and just played the right type of music for the atmosphere. I have been to a lot of outside venues like this one and the bands are either too loud or play music that is "just not right". The band Pierson's had was very low key but were excellent musicians and the lead singer had a great voice and their choice of songs were perfect for the atmosphere. The prices for drinks, food and gift shop items are in line with prices at other events of this type in the area. Thank you Pierson's staff and owners for providing such a great event. Have more please!!

Fresh garland wreaths, roping, Christmas accessories and railroad gifts are also for sale in the barn, "Christmas Junction". Dave and Lynn Beck are good family friends so even though there are 3 or 4 other tree farms close by, we always go to Beck's. It is a tradition to go after church on a Sunday afternoon and pick our tree. Um, most people drive home with their tree tied to the roof of their car. My family is NOT like most people. Dad feels it's much easier to uh, drive our John Deere tractor/wagon here and load it up in the wagon so we can forgo the hassle of tying it to our car. It's been a little different since my brother and I left the nest as the tree is usually up when we get home from Penn State or DC, respectively. When I moved to DC and bought a fresh tree 2 years ago, I was astounded by the $50 price tag. A 4-5 foot tree for $50!? Not the case at Beck's. I believe the price is between $40-45 for a 6 or 7 foot tree which is amazing. Beck's also has a huge pile of garland behind the barn that patrons are free to take as much as they want. Mom usually takes a few pieces to assemble mini trees that she puts on our front porch as decorations. Go to Beck's for your Christmas trees. It's worth it. But you don't have to bring your tractor...you can just bring a regular car or truck ;-). [PHOTOS] http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/7p4m-QZKoAeVDK99Cvw1vQ?select=OwrLyYk8B0y7UkQxUPzfAg

This by far the best Bed & Breakfast that I've been to over the last few years. Stone Oak is a peaceful tree farm and cozy barn that shines the spirit of Christmas. Each room is decorated so nicely. Natalie and Rich were friendly, welcoming and offered us activities nearby (breweries, wineries, cideries, hiking locations), although we spent our evenings by the fireplace sipping on hot chocolate. The breakfast was delicious and just the overall experience has been so positive and perfect. If you're looking for a scenic, relaxing, cozy B&B to stay, look no further. You will not be disappointed. My boyfriend and I were looking for a peaceful and relaxing weekend and we got just that! They also had an incredible shared great room with a fireplace and kitchen/dining area, where breakfast was "serve yourself" the next morning.
