Stopped there to get a coffee and breakfast sandwich. We were greeted when we walked in, but the service after that was lukewarm. When I asked a question about the menu the woman looked at me like I was an idiot. The coffee wasn't the best and extremely hot. The breakfast sandwich was microwaved and was so hot it took several minutes before we could even touch it. Sandwich also had no taste. The was no goodby or thanks for visiting when we left, and it's not like they were busy, there was only one other customer in the shop and 4 people working. It is connected to a gym, so you have to walk into the gym with people working out to use the bathroom. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. I don't recommend this coffee shop. There are better places in Bad Axe. read more

This place has the BEST APPLE FRITTERS I have ever eaten. (Oh, and BTW, I waited until after our vacation to write this review because I didn't want any competition for those fritters. I was afraid they would sell out if I posted the review too soon. They are THAT GOOD). They also have so many fancy coffee drinks that you will want to come back every day of the week to try all of them (and they are delicious). Lovely baked goods, salads, and sandwiches. My son loved his smoothie as well. The atmosphere is friendly and it's a nice place to hang out and read or work. Can't wait to visit again! read more

Stopped by with my coworkers. We were so excited about trying this place but ended up with a lackluster experience. The venue itself is super cool and trendy. The decor is excellent and the dining and seating areas are welcoming and comfortable. The ladies at the counter seem to have not been getting along when we arrived and it seems as if noone wanted to take our order. Once we did start our order we received great service. Wait time for two half sandwiches was 26 minutes. The boxes were messy with sauce. To our dismay, both sides of Better Made chips that comes with the combo was expired. We most likely will return but will try the drive thru. read more

Yuck, won't return, chai bubble tea is okay, a little heavy on the flavor, husband got the French vanilla cold brew bubble tea. He said it tastes like straight black coffee, ordered a sticky pecan roll, they're out of those, so we got a chocolate chip cookie. The outer edge is perfect and crispy but the middle is raw. You need to turn your oven temperature down so the whole cookie bakes evenly. Don't care to return. read more

My daughter got the unicorn waffle and it was so cute and very good! The strawberry syrup was so good on it! We also tried their smoothies and they were amazing. I would definitely recommend trying them. I tried one of their frozen coffee drinks and it was pretty good as well. My only complaint would be that the wait is always really long when we go and the breakfast sandwiches are just okay. I have yet to go inside I have only used the drive through and the staff has been very friendly. read more

I was visiting from Los Angeles and instantly fell in love with Emma's. I ordered another Cuban sandwich to bring home because it was so good and reminded me of Miami, where they make the best cuban sandwiches. The ambiance is calming, charming, with some really great, one of a kind gifts. There's games and even a great gym next door to work off the calories! I have been enjoying this spot in Bad Axe for a couple of months now. The atmosphere is great...it is both inviting and comfortable. I have tried both breakfast items (quiche and cinnamon rolls) and lunch sandwiches like the turkey bacon the Cuban and the soup, along with other pastry items. Went last Friday for the first time. The ambience is great and the Cuban sandwich was delicious.

You'll pay about $10 for a sandwich! They used to give you a bag of chips with the sandwich but now charge extra for the chips and give you a pickle! The sandwich is okay, but for $10 you should get a pickle and chips! They're going to price themselves out of business. read more

Such a fun cafe! We got delicious pies and brewed coffee. Looks like they have a wonderful menu. It has a great atmosphere and lots of fun details. I love all the little extra things you can buy. Emmas sort of has a monopoly over the coffee industry in Bad Axe. There aren't many coffee shops in the area. Staff is very kind, very nice atmosphere, and very cute small items that can be bought. Coffee, however, is not very consistent. One day you can order a drink and then come back the next day to order the same drink and it will not be made proportionately. I feel its something they could work on but overall great local business! read more

While visiting my Bestie and her family in Bad Axe, MI we stopped in to Emma's Coffe House for a cup of joe before traipsing around the county of her childhood home. Emma's has a trendy look consisting of two notable eye catchers...an entry wall of tapestry of beautifully painted coffe cups and a colorful menu board chalked full of food and beverage items ~ courtesy of Emma's mom. There are also paper menus for folks like me who get lost in the art and forget I am there to consume food and beverages. The establishment is light and airy with a variety of seating for all i.e tall tables/chairs, booth with standard table and chairs and some counter space with high back stools. We met the owner Brad who appears to be a pleasant and humble guy. The staff are all engaging and youthful creating a welcoming and inviting atmosphere to sit, eat, drink and visit. There are souvenirs scattered about which I purchased a mixture of 7 wooden and metal tea/coffee spoons to take back home to my staff. My Bestie and I stopped in twice. First visit I had a caramel macchiato and my Bestie enjoyed a honey bear. Both were tasty, not overly sweet and perfect temperature. My next visit I enjoyed a toasted bagel and Tropical smoothie which was a nice blend of mango, pineapple and peach flavor ~ Delish My Bestie enjoyed a chai latte which was tasty and had a nice thick foam. We invited a plus one and I got to taste her S'mores latte (?). Whatever the name it was the best sugar free coffee. drink I've had ever. If you are in the area stop by. Great spot in Bad Axe! I had the Cuban for lunch and it was tremendous. The dining area lacked adequate seating, but it did not take away from the atmosphere, polite and helpful staff, and other food options. I am looking forward to making this my main stopping spot on my work travels! read more

I have one word for my experience today. Disappointed. I came in with the full expectation to get a triple chocolate muffin. When I arrived and ordered at the counter I was told the muffins weren't even in the oven yet!!! Sheri did not offer me to wait and did not even apologize. I ended up ordering a cinnamon roll. The thing was very raw in the center. I was eating pure dough. Not my cup of tea. I support the emma's franchise, but i am at a loss with Sheri... she is very hard to read and is completely and totally rude!!! the frosting was totally rank as well. i even gave sheri a tip after all the chaos she brought me and she didn't even say thanks, can you believe this sheri? i have learned from my experience and i will now walk in and if sheri is there, i will walk right back out that dang door. one more thing. as i walked out that door after eating the doughy cinnamon roll, i said "bye sheri" in an attempt to be the bigger person.
