The plumbing company left a mess, damaging our tree, crushing bushes, and leaving big pile of dirt in the yard. We called Ridley's. They came out promptly for an estimate, and once we said yes, they came out promptly and did an amazing job. They did so well that our neighbor was watching them work and hired them on the spot to do some grading in his yard. For the grass, they offered us the option of doing sod or seed. We went with the seed, so the (after) picture just shows the straw, but we anticipate having a beautiful lawn next summer. They were highly professional, worked hard, and simply got the job done as it should be done. We talked to another company that seemed cheaper, but they didn't give me the confidence that Donta gave me, and now that the job is done, I can say that confidence was well placed.

At first they were difficult to get in touch with, and I didn't love the fact that they only took cash. However, they were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than other quotes I had received. And another company mentioned wanting to use a crane that would need to be on my neighbor's property (I have a very small yard and my house is in extremely close proximity to my neighbors on both sides). I am not close with my neighbors on that side and did not want to have to ask to put a large piece of equipment on their yard. Express Tree Service arrived the day they promised and arrived almost on time. I was called promptly to let me know they were in traffic and would be a little late. That was not a problem and I appreciated the prompt notice. Rush hour traffic is insane from their location to mine, and unpredictable day-by-day, so that was no problem at all that they were slightly, very slightly late. The whole time they were here they were extremely professional and worked diligently to remove the dead tree. They removed all of the debris (well, there was a small trail of tree shavings left, but nothing significant). I am very satisfied with the service I received from this company and have no regrets in hiring them. I would make the same choice if I had to do it all over again.
